Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Maybe not," Riku agreed with a shrug. "But the King never said I couldn't go, either." And that, to him, was enough reason for him to go. The letter may have been addressed to Sora, but that didn't exclude Riku from anything. If it was important that he didn't go, the King would have said so.

"That's why I'm saying it," Sora said, shaking his head and keeping his back to Riku and Kairi. "Riku, you're not coming." He started walking again, not waiting for the argument that would surely be coming. Riku wouldn't drop this, but neither would Sora.

"Sora!" Riku called, taking a small step forward. He gripped the letter in his left hand, and he knew that he would have to prove that he was right here. Sora needed to stop being stubborn and just accept his help. There was no other way around it.

Kairi bit her lip, looking from Riku to Sora. This wasn't going well... None of it was. But what did she expect?

"You finally have a chance at a normal life, Riku," Sora called over his shoulder, continuing to walk away despite Riku's holler. "Don't throw that away." Sora wished that he had a choice in the matter, but even if he did, he would probably go on this journey. No matter how badly he wanted to escape his responsibility as a Keyblade wielder sometimes, he knew that he would never neglect the well being of other worlds or other people like Terra, Aqua and Ventus.

"I'll never have a chance at a normal life!" Riku hollered, frowning at how Sora felt that dismissed everything. But he was also unhappy with how true his words were. If Sora would just stop and listen...

Kairi's eyes widened briefly at the rise in Riku's voice. She could tell he was becoming angry, and even she knew it took a lot to anger Riku. But, did he have a good enough reason to be upset?

Sora stopped halfway across the bridge, hearing Riku's harsh tone. He automatically turned around and looked at Riku, his eyes hard to cover the surprise that he felt from Riku's holler. He thought he knew what he was getting at, but still...Riku shouldn't have felt the need to come along.
"The day I accepted the Keyblade was the day I gave up my future," Riku hollered to Sora. "Every chance at a normal life is gone, Sora. And you know what? I did it to protect you guys. To protect the things that matter." His friends were number one in his life, that was obvious. And if he wanted to go with Sora and help him in case things got dangerous, then he would. Nobody was going to stop Riku from going through with what he promised a long time ago.

"Didn't you ever think that I'm doing the same by telling you to stay back?" Sora shouted in response, eyes remaining hard. "I'm not losing any of you! I'll do whatever I have to in order to keep you out of danger." While he spoke of losing his friends, he couldn't help but recall when he had almost died back in Glassice and how distraught his friends had been. He didn't want to be in their position. Ever. So, in order to prevent that from happening, it was best to keep all his friends in a safe world.
"Babying us isn't doing any good!" Riku retorted roughly. He then lifted his hand, holding up the letter. "Three Keybladers have gone missing, Sora. Three. Don't you think you'll need the power of another to even solve the problem?" Riku lowered the letter without waiting for an answer, continuing. "If it was necessary for you to go alone, the King would have said so. But did he?"
  • Author
"No, but he didn't say that I needed help, either," Sora retorted, his fists tightening at the current argument. Maybe Riku had a point with a power that was strong enough to make three Keyblade Masters disappear, but still, he wasn't having it.
"Then actually stop and think before you tell me what I can and can't do," Riku replied loudly. "There's nothing stopping me from following you if you end up leaving alone. Remember that." Even if Sora ran off, Riku would go after him. Protecting the things that mattered was something he went by every day. His friends were at the top of the list, Sora included.
  • Author
"How would you possibly do that?" Sora asked, arching a brow and challenging Riku. There was no way to get off a world without a Gummi ship, and if Sora left Riku alone, then he took their only form of transportation. Riku would be stuck, whether he liked it or not.
Riku simply lifted the letter, waving it at Sora. Contacting the King, of course. If the situation called for it, and Riku was sure it did, then he could persuade the King to send him a form of transportation that was needed for this mission.

Sora diverted his gaze to the bridge, glaring at it. Alright, so sneaking off in the middle of the night wouldn't work after all. And he wasn't dumb enough to go to the King and tell him not to let Riku go on this journey with him; King Mickey had other things to worry about.
Riku lowered his arm after a minute, seeing that Sora was obviously pondering things. It showed when he broke eye contact. "So what's it gonna be?" he called, his voice no longer as angry. Instead, it was full of wonder. Sora couldn't win this one, whether he wanted to or not.

Sora furrowed his eyebrows and looked up at Riku, the look on his face enough to convey his decision. He didn't have a choice; Riku wouldn't let him go alone, and he wasn't willing to stoop so low and bother the King over this. After a moment, he turned around and started walking away again, confident Riku knew his thoughts.

Riku watched Sora walk off in silence, knowing that his friend made up his mind. "Looks like one of us needs to talk to Roxas," he said, referring to him and Sora speaking with the Nobody, who still didn't know anything about this situation. Riku rolled up the letter neatly, like he was sure it was delivered, and turned his attention to Kairi.

Kairi wordlessly nodded, speechless for the moment. She didn't like this, even if Riku was going with Sora. That made her feel better about both of their lives and safety, but still... Every time they left for a mission, she would always feel uneasy.

Before Sora entered the shack, he glanced out at the ocean, seeing that two more boats were at the dock and one of the blondes was already on the deck. Good timing...sort of. Riku could explain things to Roxas; Sora was a little too ticked at the situation to talk without snapping.
Roxas took a few steps over on the deck, kneeling down and taking it upon himself to start tying Namine's boat to the deck, that way she wouldn't have to worry about it. After meeting up, they decided they would come out here. Seeing that everyone else's boats were already out further convinced them to as well.

Namine stood up in her boat, one of her hands finding the deck so that she wouldn't lose her balance and fall. She smiled weakly at Roxas's deed, the girl watching him tie her boat before she could do anything about it. It was sweet of him, but then her attention went to the islet, where she saw two of her three friends.
Roxas watched his hands do their work with the rope, and once he was done he pushed himself up. He brushed off his pants and turned his gaze to Namine. However, once he noticed her looking somewhere else, he followed her gaze, turning his head to look. His sight fell on the islet, where he thought he recognized Kairi and Riku standing. Yup, they were already here.

Namine looked away from the islet, setting both her hands on the deck and starting to climb up. The sooner she was up, the sooner she and Roxas could join their other friends. Out of the corner of her eye, she thought she saw Sora leave the shack, and that answered her previous thought as to where he was if he was not with Riku and Kairi.
Roxas figured he and Namine would just meet up with everyone here, but it looked to him like everyone was separated. Sora wasn't there... He caught movement out of the corner of his eye and he corrected himself; Sora wasn't with Riku and Kairi anymore, but he was here. But...wasn't he coming this way? Didn't that mean he was going to leave?
  • Author
Sora glanced at Roxas and Namine at the dock, seeing the two of them standing up and looking in his direction. Instead of initiating anything with them, he turned in the other direction so that he could go to the other side of the island. He would come back out to his friends when he was calmer again.
"Uh..." Roxas arched an eyebrow, tilting his head slightly when he saw what Sora was doing. Okay, so that wasn't like him. But what was going on then? His eyes automatically darted to the islet, where Riku and Kairi were. Would they know?
