A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

I'm not tired now, Sora thought, still glaring at the ground. He was still steamed even if he knew that their argument was a stupid one. He couldn't drop it now; it was easier to be angry at Riku than be afraid of Xehanort.

Riku listened to Kairi's retreating footsteps, but he didn't move. He sighed quietly and closed his eyes, arm still folded over his chest. What now?

"You heard her," Sora said, lifting his gaze to Riku. "Go get some rest." He, on the other hand, was going to blow off some steam. He side-stepped and then started past Riku for the entrance to the house. He was going for a walk.

"What're you gonna do?" Riku asked, turning his head and uncrossing his arms as he followed Sora's movements. He seriously wasn't going into town this late, was he?

"What do you care?" Sora said coolly, walking out of the room. Riku only seemed to want to pin the blame on him for the petty little mistakes he made, and Sora was sick of it. He was walking away from this argument, literally.

Riku rolled his eyes, shaking his head as he looked back down at the ground. Whatever. He wouldn't, if that was what Sora wanted.

Sora walked out of the house, shutting the door behind him. He didn't do it too loudly, though, not wanting Kairi to worry or wake up if she was already asleep. He shoved his hands into his pockets and started walking, the cool night air and darkness not bothering him.

Riku may have been hard on Sora just a minute ago, but he was still worried. He didn't want him roaming around at night when somebody could show up at any time...

Sora just walked, not paying attention to where he was going. He was so steamed he didn't think about threats, and he would have been a goner if somebody actually sneaked up on him then.

"Sora can take care of himself..." Riku concluded softly, looking toward the door. He then turned on his feet and started out of the room, taking Kairi's advice and getting some rest. He still probably wouldn't sleep well, though, for obvious reasons.

The next morning

 

Sora sat against Kairi's bed as she slept, his head leaning back against the mattress. His legs were bent a little in front of him, and he held his Keyblade horizontally in front of him with the weapon resting against his legs. After his walk last night, he decided he'd prove a point to Riku. He stayed up the whole night guarding Kairi. He was still awake now, in the morning. But he was exhausted and feeling really emotional because of how sleep deprived he was, which wasn't good.

Riku woke up early, as usual. Now that he was well-rested, he realized how ridiculous he had been the night before with Sora, and that he needed to apologize. He was too hard on him. The boy pushed himself out of his bed and looked over to Sora's bed, but it was empty. Lifting an eyebrow, the boy looked to the door. He came back last night, right?

Sora lowered his head, looking down at his Keyblade with half-open eyes. He would protect Kairi, no matter what. Riku made it sound like somebody had to be on guard 24/7, so that was what Sora would do. What did he need rest for, anyway?

Riku decided that he needed to leave the room, so he did, and he headed for Kairi's bedroom. She may have known where Sora was, even if it was pretty early. He knocked softly before opening the door, but stopped dead in his tracks when he saw Sora in front of the girl's bed. What was he doing?

Sora looked up when he heard somebody come in, and his eyes immediately found Riku in the doorway. What did he want? It was early in the morning; obviously Kairi wouldn't be awake.

Riku furrowed his eyebrows, his eyes finding Sora's Keyblade and his tired expression. The older boy sighed and brought a hand to his face, his eyes closing. Sora took him too literally.

Sora furrowed his eyebrows, seeing Riku's expression and gesture. "Can I help you?" he asked softly in sarcasm, aware that Kairi was still asleep behind him. He stayed up with Kairi; Riku should have been happy.

"You're so stupid..." Riku said quietly, mostly to himself regarding Sora. He shook his head, lowering his hand from his face. "What do you think you're doing?" He made sure his voice was quiet, that way he didn't wake the girls.

"Staying up with Kairi," Sora responded, keeping his voice soft. "Isn't that what you wanted?" His voice held a bit of sarcasm, the teen knowing that Riku had only meant for him to stay awake with her last night when he was out of the house.

"Seriously, Sora? Are you an idiot?" Riku hissed, still in the doorway as he looked at his best friend in disbelief. Didn't he know that he was going to be exhausted now? What if Xehanort struck today?

Sora just glared at Riku, Keyblade still in his grasp across his legs. Was he an idiot? Well, Riku sure was treating him as if he was one. Whatever; he had to teach himself not to care so much what Riku thought.

"I only told you to watch over her until I got back last night," Riku said lowly, keeping his voice at a harsh whisper so neither of the girls woke up. He didn't mean to watch her the whole night. Now Sora was just wasting his energy!

Sora silently glared at Riku, not saying a word. Yeah, he knew what Riku told him to do. But what was the difference? Riku wasn't keeping an eye out for Kairi when he was asleep; Xehanort still could have attacked when they were all asleep.

Riku just shook his head at Sora, then moving his feet forward. He stopped in front of Sora and bent down, grabbing his arm to pull him. "You're coming with me," he whispered harshly. Sora was going to be exhausted for the rest of the day. Didn't he realize that he was being stupid for spiting Riku like this?

Sora grunted in surprise, Riku pulling him to his feet with ease. He really didn't know how to respond to Riku's demand, and he didn't feel like initiating a physical fight because they were in the girls' room. And besides, he was tired. His Keyblade vanished, the brunet glaring up at Riku.
