A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Riku sensed movement behind him and so he whirled around, blade swinging. His Keyblade clashed with that of Xehanort's, but his eyes widened when it was too late to dodge another attack. The teen cried out in pain when the orbs hit him, his armor absorbing the dark energy. He stumbled back a few steps, wincing at the pain that encased his body briefly.

Ventus turned around at the cry, seeing Riku stumble back because of an attack. But then he noticed Xehanort prepare to run forward, which prompted Ven's next action. Raganork, he thought, jumping up into the air as a bunch of orange beams left the tip of his Keyblade and head for Xehanort.

 

Xehanort felt something impact him, making him wince and forget about Riku for a moment. He turned around, feeling the beams hit him. When the attack was over, he glared at Ventus, mentally telling the remaining Neoshadows to go for Riku now so that he could get revenge on Ven.

Riku recovered, but not in time to keep Xehanort's attention attached to him. Neoshadows disappeared near Ven and reappeared in front of him. The boy gripped Way to Dawn, fighting off his remaining pain as he lifted his blade to block an attack.

 

Aqua grunted, finishing off the last Heartless on the elevated piece of land. She'd heard hollers from below, but had been too occupied to really pick up what had been said and who had been hurt. Regardless, she ran for the edge of the cliff, peering down. "Riku! Ven!" she cried, seeing them both facing their own foes. Where was Terra?!

Ven ran forward to meet Xehanort, though he should have assumed that it was a trap. The ground rose up from underneath one of his feet, forcing him onto the higher land where he skidded to a halt. But then he also noticed that Xehanort was on this chunk of land with him, and he was quickly lowering Aqua's so that there was no possible way for anyone to interfere with their battle.

Aqua gasped in shock, staring down when the piece of land she was on lowered quickly. It shook once it met the ground once more, and she stumbled a little, but her eyes immediately went back up to Ven. The only person that could possibly get up there was the person that was trapped here. "Terra!" she cried, looking around. Ven needed help, and neither she or Riku could provide it!

The calling of his name awakened him, a Keyblade wielder from the past hearing the cry of his friend. Terra appeared next to Ventus, who was rising to his feet on one side of the ground while Xehanort stood across from them on the other side.

 

Ventus gasped at the light that appeared next to him, the boy looking over and gazing at the figure that appeared when the light faded. "Terra!" he cried in relief. He was here!

Aqua saw the light from above and she smiled behind her armor. "Terra..." she breathed, relief washing over her. He was with Ven...

 

"Aqua!" Riku called, seeing a Neoshadow sink into the ground and slither over her way. So far the Neoshadows outnumbered them, by a lot.

 

The blue-haired woman came to attention at her name, but she saw where Riku was looking. She gasped when her eyes focused on the ground, a black blob underneath her. The woman then cried out when the Neoshadow jumped out of the ground, at the same time attacking her and forcing her into the air, only to land on her side on the ground.

Terra noticed Ven step forward beside him as if he were to attack Xehanort, but he put a hand on Ventus's shoulder before he ran forward himself, Xehanort running from the other side and meeting him in the middle. Terra always joined in on the action late, but now that he was here, he was going to protect Ventus with everything he had.

 

Xehanort battled Terra in the center of the area, knowing that he couldn't do away with him as easily as he could Aqua or Riku. But he would finish him off quickly enough and take what he wanted out of Ventus. He hadn't come this far only to fail.

Aqua grunted in pain, opening her eyes a little to see that her Keyblade was a foot or so away from her hand. She reached for it, but ducked her head when fireballs suddenly were launched her way. She heard a shriek behind her, and she lifted her eyes to see Riku standing yards away, facing her direction. Aqua realized that he probably saved her from a devastating attack, so she quickly got to her feet, ignoring the pain. She ran forward, at the same time picking up her Keyblade and heading to where the Keyblade successor was fighting.

Xehanort battled Terra for some time, Ventus jumping in every once in a while when he wasn't distracted by the Heartless that he had summoned. "Enough!" he roared at Terra, pointing his Keyblade at the man who was a few yards away. A purple-colored hand came out the tip of his Keyblade, latching onto Terra before it threw him a few yards away towarrds the edge of the platform.

 

Terra stuck his Keyblade in the ground to slow his slide so that he wouldn't fall of the edge, the spirit hurting after Xeharnot's powerful attacks. He laid on his side, unable to get up at that moment.

 

Ventus turned to look over to the side when he heard a crash, his eyes landing on his friend on the ground several yards away. "Terra!" he cried in worry and fear, slashing through the last of his Heartless as he rushed over to his best friend on the ground. Was he alright?!

Aqua used many of her commands to defeat the Heartless surrounding her and Riku, and with his help, they managed to decrease the numbers significantly. However, there were still more to fight. The Keyblade Master fired a Firaga attack at one of the Neoshadows, watching it erupt in flames before disappearing in a puff of smoke. Aqua would constantly watch Riku out of the corner of her eye to check if he needed assistance, and when she wasn't worrying about him, she was scared for her two friends above her. She hoped they were staying strong.

Ventus suddenly felt some things tug at his arms, and he stumbled back a few steps when Neoshadows got a strong grip on his arms and torso. "No!" he shouted, struggling against them the best that he could. They dragged him back a few steps, and his wide eyes went to his friend on the ground. "Terra!"

 

Terra looked at Ven, hearing the fear in his friends voice. He found his motivation again and started rising to his feet, though he didn't know how much he could help right now, stunned from a series of attacks that just happened.

 

Xehanort looked at Ventus as he walked towards him at a leisurely pace, the boy unable to get free of the Heartless. On his way over, some orbs appeared out of the ground and headed for Terra, knocking him back down so that he had enough time to deal with the troublesome boy in front of him.

Riku finished off the last Heartless nearby, and just after that he heard Ventus's cries. He whirled around, seeing Aqua do the same out of the corner of his eye. What was happening up there?!

 

"Ven?!" Aqua cried, her voice echoing off the rock walls. By his cry and a few small explosions she saw, he and Terra were both in trouble. She needed to get up there!

"I told you this would happen, my boy," Xehanort said, walking up to Ventus being held upright by a few Neoshadows. "But you chose to do this the hard way, so this excessive force is necessary." It would have been so much easier if Ventus just allowed him to extract Vanitas, but oh well.

 

Ven struggled against the Heartless holding him, though it was no use. He couldn't get out of this! And Terra couldn't help him; he was hurt! What was he going to do?!

"Riku," Aqua said, urgency in her voice as she turned around to face him. "We need to get up there. Now." She wasn't sure how, but they were going to get up to Ven's level one way or another.

 

"Right!" Riku said from a few yards back. He looked at the cliff in front of them, looking for any ridges or ledges that they could possibly grip to get up. His aquamarine eyes darted from the lowest one, recognizing a path that could be accessed. "Follow me!" Riku encouraged, running forward and passing Aqua, hearing her footsteps right behind his.

Xehanort, don't do it! Terra wanted to shout, though he had no voice that could express his thoughts. He tried to push himself up off his side, his gaze on his best friend. Ven...

 

Ven winced when a heartless scratched lightly at the back of his exposed neck, his helmet having fallen off a long time ago. His wide eyes stayed on Xehanort in front of him, his gaze going down to Xehanort's Keyblade when it was pointed at him. "No!" he cried desperately, fearful at the sight of the tip of the blade. Xehanort was going to release Vanitas!

Riku ran forward, approaching the lowest ledge. He skidded to a halt, pointing at it with his free hand. "There!" he said. "There's a small path that leads to the top. Follow it!" He waved Aqua onward, letting her go first.

 

Aqua nodded shortly and dismissed her Keyblade, jumping up and grabbing the first ledge. She pulled herself up quickly and then skillfully jumped to the next one, going as quickly as she could. Hold on, Ven...

"It is time!" Xehanort said, a pleased look appearing in his amber eyes. "Vanitas, Darkness of Ventus's heart, I call you once more to form the X-blade!" He took a small step back, focusing on what he had to do. A few moments later, a beam of light came out of the tip of his Keyblade and pierced Ventus's chest.

 

Ven's eyes widened at the beam hitting his chest, his lips parting slightly at the feeling created by the process of the extraction. A soft gasp left his lips, his wide eyes on Xehanort in front of him for the few seconds that the light pierced him. No...

Aqua stopped on one of the ledges, glancing up to see how much farther they had to go. But at the same time, she saw a bright light. "Ven!" she cried, hurriedly taking the next few ledges up. No!

Ven's wide eyes eventually fell shut, the beam of light also fading away when the extraction was complete. A few feet behind Master Xehanort, a dark circle appeared in the sky, Vanitas forming out of the Darkness of Ventus's heart. The blond exhaled a soft breath, the Heartless vanishing and releasing him, letting him start to fall as consciousness left him.

 

Terra felt startled at what happened while he was unable to move, the man managing to get up onto his knees by the time Vanitas was fully extracted. No! he thought. History's repeating itself!

Aqua got to the top of the cliff by the time the Heartless released Ven, and she sprinted forward as fast as she could, sliding along the ground and catching Ven before he collapsed. She panted heavily, looking down at her best friend. "Ven?!"

 

Riku ran along the ground as Aqua caught Ven, his wide eyes looking from her to the figure behind Xehanort. Was that...Vanitas?

Terra forced himself up off the ground, ignoring how badly he was hurting as he hurried over by his other friends. He stood in front of Aqua and Ven protectively, his Keyblade down at his side as he stared at Xehanort and Vanitas.

 

"Finally!" Xehanort said, not caring about any of the teens in front of him for the moment. He got what he wanted out of Ventus, and so now there was only one more step to forging the X-blade. And that would require the assistance of the person behind him.

Riku ran forward, skidding to a halt beside Terra, standing in front of Aqua and Ven as well. He had his blade tightly at his side, prepared for any sneaky tricks Xehanort had in mind.

 

Vanitas uncurled from his position, his feet lowering and touching the ground as he stood up straight. He looked at the people in front of him from behind his tinted mask, immediately recognizing them. Well, well.

"Vanitas," Xehanort said in greeting, turning halfway and looking at the dark being he just extracted from Ventus's heart. "Before we move forward, I think a practice battle would be beneficial." He was about to make a suggestion on where Vanitas could fight, and he would inform him as well as all the other Keyblade wielders here about his plans.

Vanitas smirked behind his mask, extending a hand and wordlessly summoning his own weapon to his grasp. "Where to...Master?" he said, his sarcastic tone evident, as it had always been.

 

Riku tightened his grasp on Way to Dawn instinctively at that voice, the Darkness that reeked from Vanitas's mere presence. Practice battle? Where?
