A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

"Sora," Master Yen Sid finally said, lowering his hand after stroking his beard. "Summon the blade." He wanted to see something, to prove if his hunch was correct about Sora.

 

Sora shifted nervously on his feet, not sure if that was such a good idea. But Master Yen Sid stared at him, waiting. He lifted his hand in front of him and the X-blade appeared in his grasp.

Roxas's eyes widened at the request, and he opened his mouth to speak his thoughts about the idea. But Sora already summoned it, so his blue eyes went to the weapon. He stared at it in awe, never having seen it up close before.

Sora saw Master Yen Sid motion for him to set it down, and so he did, carefully laying it across the desk in front of the Master before he took a step back. Master Yen Sid, however, looked at Sora, not the weapon.

 

"You have no reason to fear the weapon influencing your heart, Sora," Master Yen Sid said, his hunch being proven correct when he saw how easily Sora summoned and then let go of the weapon.

Riku furrowed his eyebrows slightly, confused by the Master's words. This didn't make any sense. "Sir..." he started softly, not meaning to interrupt. But he had something to point out. "The X-blade is supposed to be a weapon of destruction. Why would a wielder of Light be able to hold it without any side effects?"

"Every Keyblade has a chosen master," Master Yen Sid said, looking over all three teens as he answered Riku's question. "Even the X-blade, however rich in power it is on its own, seeks a master with a heart strong enough to wield it." And it chose Sora.

Roxas furrowed his eyebrows a little at the words, contemplating them. That made sense, at least, that the X-blade had a master. But...wait a second. That meant it chose Sora?!

Master Yen Sid noticed Sora get a little paler when he understood what he was saying, and he continued speaking. "The X-blade's destructive influence is meant to make the wielder discard the weapon," he said. "It is the weapon's self defense. But there is no need for the weapon to use those properties when it is in the hands of its true master." At that, he nodded to the weapon's chosen wielder, Sora.

Oh no...Riku thought, closing his eyes after looking over at Sora. He was the destined wielder of the X-blade? That was incredibly dangerous!

"B-but, Master Yen Sid," Sora said after a few moments. "Even if the X-blade doesn't influence my heart, it's still a dangerous weapon. I don't know if I can control it." What if he accidentally hurt somebody?

"Sora may have a strong heart, Master," Riku said, his eyes still closed as he remained as composed as he could. "But there are still doubts. That's why we sought your counsel." He opened his eyes then, looking up at the retired Master.

"The X-blade has chosen him as master," Master Yen Sid said. "But with this comes great responsibility. The Keyblade will have destructive power if Sora expresses destructive emotions. Sadness, anger, hatred..." The list went on and on.

"So, in other words, he'll have to control his temper," Riku said, crossing his arms as he thought he reached a conclusion. Sora could easily be set off...

"Correct," Master Yen Sid said with a nod. "Sora will need to be in control of his emotions at all times. It is either that or the X-blade will lash out against him, and those around him." He noticed Sora appeared frightened by this, which was why he continued. "But there is...one other option."

Roxas's eyes narrowed slightly in curiosity. What other option was Master Yen Sid talking about?

"Kingdom Hearts is what decides who is worthy to wield the X-blade," Master Yen Sid said, his eyes set on Sora as he explained. "Kingdom Hearts can take away the X-blade, if you plead your case and Kingdom Hearts is in your favor." Then hopefully things would turn out the way they were before, with Sora wield the Keyblade for the Realm of Light.

Riku looked at Master Yen Sid with serious eyes at the name. Kingdom Hearts... It would govern Sora's fate with this. So what did that mean? If they were to reach Kingdom Hearts, how would they do it?

"The choice is yours," Master Yen Sid said to Sora, even though his friends were with him. This was Sora's destiny; would he choose to be connected to the X-blade, or would he chose to give it up?

 

This wasn't a hard decision for Sora. "Sir," he said softly, faintly shaking his head. "I can't hold a weapon that could cause possible destruction to those I care about. Even if the X-blade believes I'm strong enough to wield it, I'm not." He looked up from where he had been gazing at the weapon, looking at Master Yen Sid. "I'll go to Kingdom Hearts."

Riku uncrossed his arms, looking over at Sora at the declaration. He saw Roxas do the same. He was sure their expressions were similar; Sora was actually going to Kingdom Hearts?

"Very well," Master Yen Sid said with a nod. That was the response he expected out of Sora, anyway. But, there was information he had yet to mention. "However, there is one more thing that you must consider when taking this route. Kingdom Hearts may or may not answer your request in your favor. If it believes you are getting rid of the weapon for your own selfish reasons, it will turn against you. It may take your ability to wield the Keyblade all together....Or it may take your life."

Roxas's eyes widened, his gaze going to Master Yen Sid as he stiffened, hearing Riku grunt in surprise as well. What?! Sora couldn't possibly go through with this... He could die!

Sora's wide eyes went from Master Yen Sid to the weapon that caused all of this. Was he being selfish by giving up the X-blade? In the end, his motives and heart governed everything, didn't it? But...even at the risk of losing everything important to him, he had to go to Kingdom Hearts. If he had the weapon, he still could lose everything. And it would be his fault.

Riku waited a moment before returning his gaze to his best friend, and he set a hand on his shoulder. "Are you sure you wanna do this?" he asked quietly. It was a huge risk, going to Kingdom Hearts. He always had another choice.

Sora looked down at the weapon, composing himself. "I have to," he said softly. "It's either that or I could hurt you guys someday. I wouldn't be able to live with myself..." He shook his head faintly at that idea. His friends meant everything to him; he had to protect them from himself. He...would go to Kingdom Hearts, despite the threat.

Riku squeezed Sora's shoulder a little, uneasy about the decision. But this was Sora's choice, and he would back him up. "Alright," he said, releasing his friend's shoulder. "Let's go."

"Good luck," Master Yen Sid said to the three in front of him, though mostly to Sora. He was the one who had the burden of the X-blade now, after all. He saw the brunet nod and then the Keyblade on the desk faded away, summoned away by its master.
