Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Sora wordlessly hugged Roxas back, his hand curling around the back of his friend's shirt when he felt himself get a little emotional. These goodbyes were so hard; they were almost impossible to carry out. But Sora had done the impossible in the past, and he would have to do it today too. He had to say farewell to his loved ones.
Roxas closed his eyes, holding his best friend tightly. "...You make a good Other," he said, his words holding nothing but honesty. He said that to Sora once as well, after they fought. Things were different now. And because of that, this goodbye was more difficult.

Sora had to squeeze his eyes shut at that comment, a tear leaving the corner of his eye. He had said that before...a long time ago. And they had gotten much closer since then. "So do you, Roxas," Sora said, trying to not sound as choked up as he felt.
Roxas furrowed his eyebrows, concentrating on keeping his emotions in check. He knew it probably wouldn't work out in his favor, though. "...Thanks," he said, opening his eyes. "You gave me a second chance." He lived again thanks to Sora. It wouldn't have been possible without him.

Sora nodded slightly, keeping his grip on the back of Roxas's shirt. He was glad that he was able to give Roxas that second chance; he deserved a life of his own. He was a real person, just like Sora, Kairi, or any of their other friends.
Roxas took his hand and patted Sora's back like he would a brother. He knew that Sora had to tell two more people goodbye. "We'll be waiting," he said softly. He was coming back... He had to.

Sora again nodded faintly, forcing himself to release Roxas's shirt when he sensed that the embrace was coming to an end. He didn't know if he could do this, say goodbye to these people. They all meant so much to him, and the thought of losing any of them terrified him. And he could be about to lose them all.
Roxas took a step back, finding his spot beside Namine again. He let his gaze rest on the ground for a moment and he blinked, then looking up at his best friend. Two more people...and they were definitely the most important.

Sora turned on his feet to look at the last two people that he had to say farewell to, one of them being his childhood best friend and the other being the girl who he loved with all his heart. He looked at them with moist eyes, aware that he hadn't wiped at the one tear that already slid down his cheek.
Riku glanced down at the ground, seeing the look on Sora's face. This was going to be really hard for Riku... He'd never watched one of his best friends walk away, and not known if they would come back to see him again. His hands in his pockets, Riku looked back up at Sora, fighting his own sorrow.

Sora just looked at Riku, unaware that another tear left the corner of his eye and slid down his cheek. He was so scared and sad. If he didn't come back...He didn't know what would happen. What would happen if Kingdom Hearts killed him? He knew one thing: he would be separated from his friends. And he didn't want that.
Riku's lips parted at the tear that rolled down Sora's face. Normally, he would make fun of him for being so soft, but he was feeling that way himself. Riku stepped forward in silence and wordlessly wrapped his arms around his best friend, for possibly the last time.

Sora wrapped his arms around Riku in response, gripping the back of his shirt like he had done with Roxas. He squeezed his eyes shut and furrowed his eyebrows, trying so hard to be strong. But he was so scared...He didn't want to leave his best friend behind.
Riku wasn't one for hugs, but today was definitely an exception. Sora was leaving, and there was a chance he wouldn't make it back alive. "I admire your strength, Sora," he said quietly, eyes closed. "I wish I could follow my heart, like you do. That's one of the best things about you, y'know? Something I always wished I could have."

I don't know if I'm strong enough to face this one, though, Sora thought, his embrace Riku tightening a little bit. And besides, Riku was always the strong one. He wished he could borrow some strength from him, to make it through this whole thing. He didn't know if he was brave enough to face this when he was so terrified of what the outcome could be.
"I've learned a lot from you," Riku said, gripping the back of Sora's shirt with a fist as he fought to remain composed. "You're the best friend I could ever ask for..." Without Sora, things weren't the same. Riku's brother wasn't there anymore.
  • Author
Sora felt himself get choked up at that, able to tell that Riku was having a hard time remaining composed too. So, he didn't feel bad about shedding a tear or two when he heard what Riku had to say. "Thanks," he managed, swallowing after his voice sounded choked up. "Right back at you." Riku was his best friend, and a mentor in many ways. Sora wouldn't trade the lessons he learned from Riku for anything.
Riku nodded slightly and squeezed Sora a little tighter, pressing his lips together so he wouldn't cry. His eyes were already fighting the tears. He rubbed a hand over Sora's back briefly before loosening his hold. Releasing Sora, he brought one of his hands up and ruffled his friend's spiky hair, one last time.

Sora released Riku when his friend pulled back a little, and the gesture made his eyes stay moist. Growing up, he hated when Riku ruffled his hair, because it made him feel like a kid. But when he realized it was Riku's way of showing he cared, he grew to appreciate it. The gesture wasn't one of taunting; it was one of friendship.
Riku smiled weakly, looking past the moisture in his eyes. He took a few steps back and stuffed his hands in his pockets, nodding to Sora. He also knew that the next goodbye...was going to be the hardest.
  • Author
Sora nodded slightly to Riku, his wet eyes going to the one person that he hadn't said goodbye to yet. The girl that he lived his life for, the one who held his heart and always would. Kairi.
Kairi was already near tears when Sora said goodbye to the others, but Riku's farewell had her lip quivering. She bit down on it to keep it from doing so, now that Sora was looking at her. The person she loved most in the world... He couldn't leave her... He couldn't.

"Kai," Sora said, his voice weak as he looked at the girl he cherished and loved with all his heart. He couldn't believe he would walk away from her and possibly never come back...It was such a sorrowful thought. He couldn't survive without her, his Light. His everything.
That did it. Kairi closed her eyes at the way Sora said her name, which caused the hovering tears to fall from her eyes. She didn't want to do this... She didn't want to say goodbye...

Sora fought the moisture in his eyes, stepping forward and wrapping his arms around Kairi then. He buried his face in her hair so nobody would see that he started crying again, the teen fighting against the sobs that wanted to escape him. This was goodbye...
