A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Kairi turned her head in Riku's chest, still holding her charm close to her heart. She looked up at the heart-shaped moon in the sky and sniffled, her tears continuing to fall. Don't take him away from me...please.

"Maybe I am being selfish," Sora confessed to the heart-shaped moon. "Maybe there's a greater purpose to holding this weapon than I'm seeing. But...I know that no matter what, the most important thing in life is protecting my friends. Even if I have to protect them from myself. So please, don't let me walk back down there with the X-blade. ...Take my life, if you have to. I can't bear hurting my friends." Sora lowered his head and shut his eyes, silently waiting for something to happen. He said all there was to say, or so he believed. Now he just had to wait for Kingdom Hearts to respond.

Roxas held Namine, his arms wrapped around her as he looked up to the top of the cliff, where Sora was. He stared at the large moon in awe, though his eyes were glistening with tears.

 

Aqua's tears had stopped for the most part, so now her cheeks were just damp with their trails. She gazed up at Kingdom Hearts in silence, waiting for anything, any signs that it was responding to what Sora was surely expressing.

Sora waited for what felt like (and could have been) hours, staying where he was. Kingdom Hearts...wasn't reacting. What was happening here? Did something change already without his knowledge? He was afraid to summon the Keyblade and find out if he still had the X-blade or not. But then he heard a voice, probably only audible to his heart.

 

"Summon the blade."

 

Sora grunted in surprise, opening his eyes and looking to Kingdom Hearts. He definitely didn't imagine it, and the voice sounded different than he expected. It sounded...gentle. He nodded slightly to the heart in the sky and flexed his hand in front of him, the X-blade appearing. What happened next, though, surprised him. A beam of light shot down from Kingdom Hearts and impacted the weapon only, though Sora gasped in wonder and fear. He released the weapon and it floated upwards into Kingdom Hearts.

Kairi lifted her head from Riku's chest, having been sitting on a rock after a few hours and still needing him for support. But now, something was happening. She stared up at Kingdom Hearts with wide eyes, seeing a beam of light. Sora?

The X-blade was safely locked away within Kingdom Hearts, and after a minute or so, the beam of light faded away until it was completely gone. Sora pushed himself to his feet and looked up at the sky in awe, hands by his sides. That...was it? It just took the X-blade away, just like that?

 

"Thank you, Sora. Your heart did not lead you astray with this decision."

 

Sora pushed his awe aside and got back down on his knees out of reverence, his head lowered as he tried to figure out what Kingdom Hearts was saying. His heart told him to do this...It was the right thing to do? Kingdom Hearts continued to speak then, telling Sora many things that he knew that he would always treasure and keep to himself.

Aqua took a step forward when the light faded away, momentarily confused. What was going on up there? Was Sora...okay?

Namine looked up at Kingdom Hearts with moist blue eyes, not seeing or hearing anything. That beam, what was it? Did...Kingdom Hearts...take away Sora's life? She clung to the front of Roxas's shirt with one hand, still embracing him despite how much time passed.

Roxas wanted to find out what was going on, but he knew that he couldn't go up there. It wouldn't be right. Besides, he couldn't leave Namine now...not with the way things were for her and the others. But was Sora alright?

Ven looked up at the sky from his spot on the ground, having a bad feeling. He may have been optimistic, but he could piece things together. A strange light just came down from Kingdom Hearts...How could that possibly be a good thing? Sora...was he...?

Kairi squeezed her best friend's hand. "Riku..." she said, her voice holding worry. Her gaze was stuck on the heart-shaped moon, scared for her beloved's safety.

 

Riku didn't know what to say. He had no idea what just happened, or what was going on. But he had a bad feeling about it, and it scared him.

Terra was silent, and for the next few hours, he listened closely in case anything happened. There was no sign of Sora returning to them even though Kingdom Hearts hid behind the clouds a few minutes ago. With each passing minute, he felt his worry and sadness deepen. Sora was...gone, wasn't he?

He's gone... Kairi turned her head and buried it in Riku's chest again, her tears immediately returning. She felt his arms wrap around her and hold her tightly, but the sobs still came. Sora... Her prince... He was gone.

 

Riku lowered his head and closed his eyes. The last few minutes had been awful, and he knew that Kairi was thinking the same thing he had finally admitted a few minutes ago. Sora wasn't coming back... The boy ground his teeth together, one tear finally leaving his eyes.

After Kingdom Hearts went behind the clouds and finished speaking to him, Sora worked his way back down the path that he had climbed up. He wanted to speed back down to his friends, but he had to take his time and be careful or he would slip on the loose stones. He finally reached the bottom and did slip a little on the stones, but he caught his balance and saw all his friends gathered still. "Guys!"

Kairi's heart skipped a beat at the voice, and she heard Riku gasp. She lifted her head from Riku's chest and looked over toward the cliff. That was when she saw him, and it was the most glorious sight she'd ever seen. Riku released her, knowing what she wanted to do. "Sora!" she squealed in glee, pushing herself up from the rock and immediately running to him.

A happy chuckle left Sora's lips and he ran over to the girl who was also running towards him. Oh, she never looked more beautiful in his eyes. He was so glad that he was still alive, and even more than that, a bit different from his experience. It was so unbelievable...in a good way. A very, very good way.

Kairi still had her charm in her hands, but she didn't care. She continued running toward the boy she loved, a smile on her face as her eyes shone with joy. He was okay! She ran a few more feet, wanting to leap into her beloved's arms.

Sora and Kairi collided, and he had no problem wrapping his arms around her. He held her securely and spun her around once, another soft laugh leaving his lips. He set her back down when he was done, a smile on his lips as he held her close. It was so good to be alive.

Kairi's arms were wrapped around Sora's neck, her eyes squeezed shut tightly as she laughed softly. "Sora..." she said, happiness in her voice. He was here... He was still with her, alive.

Sora pressed his lips against Kairi's hair in a kiss before he just nuzzled his head against her hair. He was so happy! So much good came out of this experience, even if it was scary and sorrowful for a while. Everything was okay now.

Kairi held onto Sora as tightly as she could, sure that he wouldn't mind. Her prince came back to her... She felt tears of happiness fall from her eyes, so grateful to Kingdom Hearts for giving him the option to live.

 

Riku walked a few steps forward at the sight of his best friend, ahead of the others. Sora was okay... He was alive. Riku felt a smile appear on his lips, relieved beyond belief.

 

Roxas felt a small laugh of happiness leave him, his hold on Namine loosening at the sight of his best friend. Sora!

Sora looked up from Kairi, seeing Riku starting over. He noticed Namine loosen her hold on Roxas even from the distance, and he also saw a few others rise to their feet. He was glad for that; he was ready to call them all over because he was so happy to see all of them again.

Riku felt a small chuckle leave him and he started running. He didn't care if he was going to be acting like a sap; his best friend was alive. The moment called for it.

 

Kairi loosened her hold on Sora a little, turning her head so it was close to his. She felt her smile widen (if that was possible) at the sight of Riku coming over. She could see the genuine smile on his lips and she knew he was ecstatic, just like her.

Sora loosened his hold on Kairi a little, a grin on his lips when he saw Riku running over. His best friend...He wasn't being separated from him after all. Everything was alright now; he was alive, healthy, and very, very happy.

Riku reached his friends in only a few seconds and he wrapped his arms around both of them, squeezing them as he closed his eyes. He heard Kairi giggle at the action, but he couldn't help himself.

 

Roxas took a small step forward, holding Namine's hand now. Sora was alive! He was okay! He wanted nothing more than to run over there himself, but the trio needed a moment to themselves.
