A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Terra was unaware of Aqua waking up, though he told himself that he wouldn't sleep so deeply so that he would be ignorant of her status. If she was awake, he figured he should have been too; during the night, he was the only person there for her.

Regardless of it being only a nightmare, Aqua felt tears appear in her eyes. Terra...she thought silently, turning her head. She saw him still in the same spot he had been when she fell asleep, and she knew that she needed his comfort right now. The girl started to push herself up, doing it slowly so she wouldn't cause herself more pain than she was already dealing with.

Terra didn't sense Aqua's movements, his sleep position the same as it had been for a little while. Instead of his arms being folded over his chest, though, they dangled by his sides.

Aqua pulled the covers back, slowly turning to set her feet on the ground. She weakly pushed herself up, wincing at the pain in her legs and feet, but she didn't have to walk far. The girl stopped in front of Terra and silently lowered herself to his lap, tears lingering in her eyes as she lightly wrapped her arms around his neck.

Terra furrowed his eyebrows slightly, confused. He suddenly felt the warmth of another person near him, but that definitely wasn't a part of his dream. He started forcing himself awake quickly, finally sensing that things weren't right.

Aqua saw Terra's face, though she didn't think much of it, too upset about her awful dream. She kept her arms around Terra as she brought her legs up a little, leaning into him as she tried to keep the tears back.

Terra forced his eyes open after a few moments, blinking away the sleepiness. What he saw made his eyes widen in surprise at first, and then they stayed that way in sadness. "Aqua?" he said softly. She just...crawled into his lap? She looked like she was ready to burst into tears...

"I-I'm sorry, but I..." Aqua said, lowering her eyes from Terra's as she tried to give a reason for her actions. She was just so...scared. What she went through had been horrifying, and she knew it scarred her.

"...You had a bad dream?" Terra finished for Aqua. That was the only thing that he could assume; she seemed scared and sad...She was like a child crawling into her father's lap for comfort and strength only he could provide. This was a little different, but still, he could see how Aqua needed that kind of strength from another person to help her feel like everything was going to be okay.

Aqua looked back at Terra and nodded. "It was horrible," she said, her voice shaking. She felt like she was going through everything a second time...

Terra wanted to hold Aqua after she had that terrible experience, and since she was already holding him...He lifted his arm and wrapped it around her shoulders, his eyes staying on her. "You want to talk about it?"

Aqua stared at Terra for a moment, thinking back to what she'd seen. "I was cuffed to that awful machine..." she said, closing her eyes as a tear lingered on the corner of her eye. "I felt it all over again."

Terra ran his thumb over Aqua's shoulder, staying silent. She dreamed she was going through it again...As if the first time wasn't bad enough for her. She changed because of that. She was so vulnerable and needy, it broke Terra's heart.

"I'm sorry, but I just..." Aqua said, lowering her head a little as her hold on Terra tightened a little. Thinking about it only made her more frightened, and she knew then what it was that brought her to Terra's lap. "I needed you."

Terra lifted his other arm and embrace Aqua, squeezing her a little as he looked down at her. "You got me," he assured her softly. He wouldn't leave her as long as she needed him. And because of these unfortunate events, he was even more glad he didn't leave her alone last night.

Aqua nodded a little, closer to Terra now that he was embracing her. He was such a gentleman, being there for her when she needed him and being so kind. But he was her best friend too, and she was so happy for that. She loved him for this, appreciating the comfort he so willingly provided. Aqua knew that the warmth in her heart that came along with that comfort wasn't only something new, but it was a good thing; it had to be.

Terra silently held Aqua, hoping that his embrace would be enough. He could never think of the right things to say, and it was hard for him not to confess his romantic feelings for her when she was so close. But he wouldn't burden her with that right now; she had enough on her plate.

Aqua felt the tear that had been lingering on the corner of her eye fall down her cheek, her lip quivering as Xavier's marked face appeared in her mind. She only hugged Terra, hoping that his strong arms and warmth would make the icy stare she saw behind her eyelids go away.

Terra squeezed Aqua gently, knowing that she was still sore from everything. He saw that tear, and hesitantly lowered his head so that his cheek rested on the top of her head. He just wanted to make all of her pain go away so badly...It was killing him inside that he was so helpless.

"...If I'm making you uncomfortable, please tell me," Aqua said after a minute, opening her watery eyes to gaze at Terra's chest. She didn't want to do that to him, since he was in a difficult position taking care of her. She would be so upset if that was what she was doing to him.

Terra lifted the side of his head off Aqua's a little bit, looking down at her. "I'm not uncomfortable," he assured her softly. "Are you?" If she was, then he would let her get off his lap. They technically weren't anything more than friends, but his feelings were more than that. Were hers?

"No," Aqua replied softly. "I...actually feel a little better. Safer." It was strange, since she'd never been this close to Terra before, emotionally or physically. It was true that when they were confronting enemies, she felt a sense of comfort and protection when he was with her, as well as Ven. But this was different.

Terra felt himself smile weakly in relief, his gaze on the girl in his arms. "That's good," he said softly. That was what he wanted to be able to provide for her--feelings of comfort and safety.

"Mm," Aqua hummed softly, releasing a small breath as her eyes fell closed. Her fear was fading little by little, but she didn't think it would go away completely; it would stay with her for a while. Thankfully the tears were disappearing, though they would always be lingering and waiting to show up.

Terra started running his hand over Aqua's arm, his eyes going to follow the motion. He was glad she wasn't uncomfortable with this. Did this mean...she had feelings for him too? He wouldn't ask right now, though, or any time soon. He didn't think she could handle something else big on top of all that she was already facing.
