Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Fixing things with Ven wasn't an easy task. The first day, Terra smoothed things over enough to tell Aqua that things were alright, and then later he had to talk to Ven again to elaborate that Aqua wasn't protecting Ven because she thought he was weak; she did it because she loved him. Ven didn't fully understand it, but he started to accept it. He gave Aqua some room, but Terra did let him hang out with him and Aqua for a little while every day to make him happy.
Aqua took in a breath and slowly opened her eyes, noticing that moonlight was pouring in through the windows. It was the middle of the night, she knew, since she felt like she'd been sleeping for hours. She looked down without thought, and she blinked, becoming more awake at the sight of Terra. He was asleep, against her bed.

Terra exhaled a soft breath through his nose in his sleep, his book loosely in his grasp. He obviously hadn't expected to fall asleep there, but he was so tired that he passed out there. It didn't really matter, though, since he was comfortable wherever he slept for the most part.
"Terra?" Aqua called softly. If he was awake, she would ask him to go to his bed to sleep. He didn't look very comfortable. But...if he wasn't awake, she wasn't sure what she would do. She was actually quite flattered he would still stay in her room with her after the last few days.

Terra woke up at the sound of his name, as light a sleeper as ever. But he was a bit surprised at how exhausted he felt; too exhausted to move or react. He stayed still, figuring that if it was important, Aqua would touch him and wake him up somehow.
Aqua smiled softly to herself when she didn't get a response. "Guess not," she said quietly, not wanting to disturb Terra since he appeared asleep. "That's okay..." She had a few things to get off her chest anyway.

Talking to yourself, huh Aqua? Terra thought, inwardly smiling a little to himself. Well, at least she said it was alright for him to be asleep; he couldn't find the urge to move a single inch.
Aqua moved her hand a little closer to Terra, not touching him just yet. "I...guess it's better this way, with you sleeping," she said quietly, her small smile still present. "There are some things I've been wanting to say, but haven't had the courage."

What are you talking about? Terra thought in confusion, the silent question directed at Aqua. She said it was better for him to be asleep, but he had a feeling she wasn't just referring to him being asleep as a good way for him to get rest.
Aqua felt her smile grow a little. "I feel silly, since it feels like I'm talking to myself," she said. But then she stifled a laugh. "What am I talking about? I am..." She felt embarrassed, even if Terra was asleep. She shook her head, but continued. "Terra... I don't think you'll ever understand how grateful I am to you. For having you in my life at all. The last few days... They've been difficult, but you've never left my side. That's meant so much to me."

Terra stayed still, paralyzed by his exhaustion. Aqua really thought he couldn't hear her...it felt a little wrong, eavesdropping like this. But he was too tired to give any signs that he was awake, so instead, he focused on what she was saying. Those were some kind words, and even if he wasn't meant to hear them, he was glad he was. He was glad that he wasn't being a nuisance by staying by her side all the time.
"That first night you held me, I wasn't lying when I told you I felt safe," Aqua added quietly. "I meant it. You've always had so much strength, not only physically but in your heart as well. And to have someone like you care for me the way you have, it's great. I feel so...secure."
  • Author
I'm glad you feel that way, Aqua, Terra thought, though he didn't show any outward signs of reacting. He really couldn't, still out of it physically. But he was definitely listening, and he was glad to hear that he was helping Aqua feel better.
Aqua let her eyes linger on Terra's face, leaning against her elbow as she looked at him. "But...that's not the only thing I've felt recently," she started, her smile fading as she got to what she really wanted to say. "There's something...more."

Terra felt confusion again, Aqua's tone also changing with her new words. There was something more that she was feeling? He hoped it wasn't bad; he was trying so hard to make her comfortable so her recovery would go more quickly. Did he do something wrong?
Aqua furrowed her eyebrows. "It's strange, what has changed," she continued. "When I'm with you, things are different. I feel the urge to be close to you almost always, but I have to hold myself back so it doesn't make things seem awkward." She released a small breath, closing her eyes. "And it's cowardly of me to say these things to you when you don't even know, but I'm afraid you aren't feeling the same way. There's always that possibility."

Terra felt stunned at Aqua's confessions, too stunned to be reminded that eavesdropping really wasn't good when the secrets were this deep. ...What if I do feel the same way? he silently thought to Aqua. If she was saying what he thought she was saying, then he did feel like she did. He had for a long time.
The girl opened her eyes. "I mean, we've been best friends since I can remember. I never thought that someone I could care so deeply for was with me my whole life," Aqua said, leaning a little closer to the boy as he kept sleeping. "I've been wondering when I would find him. Remember? I asked you about it at the ball." She smiled again, lifting her hand to play with Terra's spikes. "Little did I know then that I was talking to him. He's right here, with me. He always has been."
  • Author
Aqua was definitely saying what Terra thought she was saying. But...whoa. Whoa. Terra wasn't thinking that Aqua returned his feelings, or that she would remember that small conversation they had at the ball. That was the first night he realized that he liked her, so that night was important to him. And apparently it was to her too...He was blown away by that, but he was glad that his facial expression wouldn't betray that he was awake and listening.
"I never thought I would hold such strong feelings for my best friend," Aqua said, lightly playing with one of the spikes on Terra's head. "It's crazy, really, but thinking about it now, I know it's been that way for a long time. Back when Xehanort was threatening the worlds, I was so worried about you when you went off on your own. I guess my concerns weren't only triggered by my relationship with you as a friend."

You mean...? Terra never finished the thought, feeling Aqua play with his hair and speak these things to him. She had feelings for him a whole lot longer than he could have ever suspected. It was a good thing he wasn't expected to react to this; he didn't know what he would do since he was so surprised.
"...Or maybe I'm overthinking things," Aqua said softly, her smile fading away as she thought about it. "Either way, I know my feelings now." She moved her fingertips from his hair and lightly ran them along the side of his face and along his defined jaw-line. "Terra...If you ever find out and don't return my feelings, I hope we can still be friends. I don't want something like this to ruin such a strong bond that we have already." Aqua would be...devastated, if that happened.
  • Author
Um...I don't think you have to worry about that, Terra thought, his "sleeping" form relaxing a little bit as Aqua ran her fingers across his jaw. He knew about her feelings now, and he definitely returned them. But...what was the next step? Approaching her? He wasn't sure if that was a good idea when she was still recovering...
Aqua felt her smile return, despite her negative thought a second ago. "I suppose it's time I let you rest in peace," she said softly, trailing her fingertips back up his cheek before pulling back. She said what she needed to, and that was all she could do.
  • Author
Terra was tempted to tell Aqua that he wasn't going to rest after hearing all that, but he couldn't find his voice. And speaking wouldn't have been his smartest move, anyway. How would she feel if she knew that he heard all that?
