A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Roxas rose to his knees, then to his feet, though he side-stepped a little. He was a little dizzy, but he knew that would eventually fade. He had Oblivion in his grasp now, prepared to fight. But first, he needed to make sure Namine was out of harm's way.

 

Vanitas summoned his weapon back to his grasp, smirking behind his mask. "Smooth," he commented from where he stood. "Almost as if I'm looking in the mirror." Now that he took the time to look at this kid, he saw how much they looked alike. However, their fighting styles were completely different. Of course, that would just make this interesting.

Sora grunted softly in disgust, knowing what Vanitas looked like behind the mask. However, he didn't care about that; they were enemies, and they were nothing alike. He got into a battle stance, prepared to take him on.

 

Namine saw Roxas get up on his feet, and so she did as well, not bothering to wipe off the sand. She recognized that a battle would start soon, and that only increased her worry for both Roxas and Sora.

Roxas heard what Vanitas was saying, and he arched an eyebrow in curiosity. However, he turned his attention to Namine, putting a hand on her shoulder. "Go," he said seriously. She needed to get somewhere safe, right away.

 

Vanitas saw Sora's face and only laughed. "What a chump," he commented, shaking his head. His mask started to fade away, revealing his golden eyes before showing his dark hair. "Always acting as the hero."

 

Kairi gasped, her hands on the railing as she looked down. Vanitas... He looked just like Sora! But how?

"That's probably because I am one," Sora said, a slight smirk appearing on his lips. He acted like a hero because that was who he was. He was a Keyblade wielder, and unlike Vanitas, he used his power to protect his friends.

 

Namine looked to Roxas, seeing the seriousness in his eyes. "Where?" she asked, not knowing any place that she could go right now. To the other side of the island? She didn't want to not know what was happening with Roxas, though, and Kairi was up by the treehouse.

Roxas looked behind him a little, seeing the shack. "There," he said, nodding to it with his head. Namine would be safe there.

 

Vanitas smirked. "So much confidence," he said. "Too bad it's about to be diminished." He brought his Keyblade back in stance, staring at Sora with a lot more pride. Game on.

Namine followed Roxas's gaze to the shack, lightly biting her lip. But then she nodded, knowing that it was the best place for her to be. But before she went, she had to say something. "Be careful."

 

"Hm," Sora hummed, his smirk vanishing in seriousness. He suddenly pushed off, his feet running smoothly in the sand because of how used to running on the beach he was. He reached Vanitas in a few steps, swinging his Keyblade at him and starting the battle.

Roxas nodded once in seriousness, squeezing Namine's shoulder. He would do his best; he didn't want to leave her unprotected if he somehow let Vanitas get the upperhand. That would be a disaster.

 

Vanitas moved his Keyblade vertically down, blocking the attack with ease. He then used his strength to push back against Sora's blade, prepared to unleash a combo soon enough.

Namine held Roxas's gaze for a brief second before she looked to the shack, starting over there. She already heard a battle going on, so she knew that Roxas wanted to jump in right away to help Sora.

 

Sora felt his Keyblade being pushed back, and he was forced back a step. However, he knew magic would help him here, so he cast a spell. "Thunder!" he cried, lightning raining down around his enemy.

Roxas watched Namine go, but then he turned forward, getting his weapon ready at his side. His eyes were set on Vanitas, the blond rushing forward to assist his best friend in battle.

 

Vanitas felt a small shock against his foot, and he instinctively flipped back. He used his hand against the ground to help with the move, but then landed smoothly on his feet, dodging another lightning bolt right in front of him in the process.

Sora noticed Vanitas's speed, but he had some quickness of his own. He ran the few steps between them, swinging his Keyblade as the spell finished up.

Vanitas blocked Sora's attack once more, jumping back slightly and then retaliating with a few quick swings of his own. They both had the speed, but who had the most power?

Sora managed to block Vanitas's attacks, though he was quickly reminded through all of his how swift Vanitas was both offensively and defensively. He knew that he had to put all his strength into the fight now and get rid of Vanitas quickly, or else his enemy would gain an advantage over him later.

Vanitas saw how Sora blocked his attacks, and he smirked in smugness. But he heard quick footsteps nearby, and he jumped up just as Roxas took a swing at him. He laughed from up above and pointed his Keyblade down at the two, spiraling down at a fast speed to attack.

 

Roxas's eyes widened, and he glanced up just in time to dodge-roll out of the way. However, Vanitas barely missed him

Sora saw the blade coming down, but he couldn't avoid it. He subconsciously squeezed his eyes shut, though he summoned a shield that protected him from the attack anyway. He heard Vanitas's blade strike it, so he knew that casting it had been a wise choice.

Vanitas landed swiftly on his feet, but upon seeing his attacks avoided, he jumped again. Unlike last time, when he hit the ground, he went underneath it.

 

Roxas saw that Vanitas's whereabouts were seen by the black and red blob slinking along the sand, coming right toward him. He furrowed his eyebrows and grunted, kicking sand up as he started in the opposite direction. However, he caught the darkness underneath him and cried out when Vanitas jumped up, striking him multiple times after sending him in the air. Roxas hit the ground with a painful grunt, rolling a little before coming to a stop.

Sora grunted in surprise, seeing Vanitas easily get the upper hand on his friend. He ran at the villain from behind, swinging his Keyblade at him with as much strength as he could find within himself. This battle wasn't going to be easy, that was for sure.

Vanitas grunted when he felt himself get struck in the back, causing him to stumble forward a step. Sora, he thought immediately, grinding his teeth together in rage.

When the first hit landed, Sora swung several more times in hopes of getting in a solid combo. He and Roxas would need every advantage they could get against Vanitas.

Vanitas grunted again in pain at the hits that were repeatedly against him, but it was enough. His body froze after a minute, and he hoped it would throw Sora off.

Sora noticed that Vanitas was frozen, and he felt confused at that. He completed his combo with one powerful swing before he jumped back in caution, his eyes on his enemy in front of him.

"Too slow," Vanitas commented darkly, finding Sora and bringing his Keyblade down with strength. How easily it was to fool these two! Wait until they saw what other trick he had up his sleeve.

Sora's eyes widened, the teen struck by Vanitas's Keyblade. He cried out in pain, feeling the strength behind that attack. Vanitas was even faster than he was!

Roxas ran forward then, charging at Vanitas. He managed to land a hit before the creep jumped up into the air again. His head immediately went up, waiting to see what attack would be created next.

 

Vanitas spun around in the air, creating crystal blue orbs that would follow Sora and Roxas's movements, tracking them down until they made contact.

Sora straightened, looking up and seeing some orbs coming down towards him. His eyes widened as he used the last of his magic in desperation, a shield forming around him and deflecting the attack.

Roxas brought his Keyblade up in an attempt to deflect the orbs, having never seen this attack before. Unfortunately for him, the orbs were dark energy that his Keyblade absorbed. Roxas grunted, feeling the energy strike at his hands and momentarily stun his arms. He lifted his piercing gaze to Vanitas, who simply stared at him and Sora.

 

"Where's the challenge?" Vanitas said with smugness. He shook his head. "Looks to me like this 'practice battle' of mine has gone long enough."
