Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"I don't think so," Aqua said. From what she observed, he was physically getting sick. That wasn't just a cold; that was a terrible case of the flu.

Terra kept his gaze away from Aqua's, knowing that she was probably right. Maybe it wasn't just a cold. But still, like any other illness, it would pass eventually. He just had to be patient.
Aqua lowered her gaze, not saying anything. Maybe I should have been with him more often, she thought guiltily. He might not be this bad if I was around. She neglected him, which was awful of her. After he took care of her so well and so unselfishly, she was doing the complete opposite.

"Either way," Terra said softly, referring to his illness being a cold or something else, "it'll go away eventually." He just hoped that he'd get better quickly and be able to move on. But, he didn't want to wait until he was well to talk to Aqua about why she was avoiding him. He wanted to talk about it now, but he didn't know how to bring it up.
"Mm," Aqua hummed with a small nod. She leaned back slightly, giving Terra some more room. She hoped he was right; it was different without him being out and about. He was always so active, and now he couldn't be.
  • Author
Terra nodded slightly, staring out at another part of the living room and not looking at Aqua. Something felt off, but he couldn't tell what it was. Was it just because he was actually sick? These circumstances were unusual, since he normally was never sick.
"Tell me something," Aqua said after a moment, closing her eyes. "When you were helping me with my recovery, did you neglect your own health?" If Terra did that, she would be devastated. It would be her fault he was this way.
  • Author
Terra glanced up at Aqua, and seeing her eyes shut, he looked away again. Had he? He really hadn't thought about it at all, so maybe that was an answer to the question: he did neglect to take care of himself. "...Maybe a little."
Aqua furrowed her eyebrows, opening her eyes to look at him. "Terra," she said with disapproval. How could he do such a thing? Was she really that needy? That selfish?
  • Author
"I-I just didn't think about it," Terra said, hearing Aqua's disapproval. He couldn't help it if he was so dedicated to his friends. He missed a meal here and there to take care of Aqua, and he didn't sleep in his own room until recently, but still, he didn't mind it.
Aqua lowered her gaze and sighed. "Because of me," she said, pushing herself up. She was the reason Terra neglected to take care of himself; she was too dependent on him.
  • Author
"Because I wanted to take care of you," Terra said, setting his hands on the couch and grunting slightly as he tried to push himself up. It was his decision to make, and he would never regret helping Aqua in her time of need.
"But you only hurt yourself in the process," Aqua said, staring at the ground sadly. "I don't approve of that." It was awful, how selfish she was. How often had she thought of his needs? Not very often at all. And that was a mistake.
  • Author
"Too late now," Terra said with a shrug, sitting upright and leaning back in the couch as he looked at Aqua. They couldn't go back in the past and fix their mistakes.
"That's what's frustrating," Aqua said, furrowing her eyebrows slightly. "This should have never happened." If she had just thought, for one moment, of Terra's well-being, he wouldn't be in this mess.
  • Author
"But it did happen," Terra reasoned softly, looking towards the ground. He wasn't necessarily referring to his sickness, but Aqua's situation in general. That shouldn't have happened either, but it did, and so he did what he could to help her.
Aqua didn't say anything, not knowing how to respond. She should have been less selfish, or at least depended on another person. Terra couldn't do everything for her, not without paying the price. And this was it.
  • Author
Terra shut his eyes and leaned his head against the back of the couch when he felt dizzy, but he spoke anyway. "I don't regret anything, so you shouldn't either." He was supposed to take care of her; he just knew it.
I know why you don't, Aqua said, glancing up at Terra. It was because he had feelings for her, so he felt the need to take care of her. And she had feelings for him as well, but...she wasn't taking care of him... Maybe that was a problem.
  • Author
"...But, if you don't mind me asking, where have you been the past few days?" Terra asked, keeping his eyes shut. Aqua normally took care of people whenever they were sick or sad emotionally; it was strange that he hadn't seen her since he got sick.
Aqua looked away at the question, even if Terra wasn't looking at her. "...I've been keeping myself busy, like I told you," she replied. She'd made the house spotless recently, and then busied herself with taking care of any errands. But she knew the real reason behind all of those actions.
  • Author
That's not what I meant, Terra thought, though he didn't verbalize it. Aqua wasn't a fool; she knew what he was asking. He hoped she would answer the question without him nagging her, because he wouldn't do it. He'd just walk away.
"I..." Aqua started, but then she stopped herself. She didn't know how to say it, how to admit that what she did was awful and terribly wrong. She shouldn't have avoided Terra the way she had been, because it was totally unfair. She said she would do anything to repay him, and the one opportunity that arises to allow her to, she scrams. "...I'm stupid," she muttered quietly, crossing her arms over her chest as she stared sadly at the ground.
  • Author
Terra's eyes opened at the muttered words, his ears picking up Aqua's statement. "What?" he asked without thought. Aqua wasn't stupid; she was one of the smartest people that he knew. Why would she say she was dumb?
You heard me, Aqua wanted to say, but she didn't speak at all. Terra had to have realized what was going on, right? He was intelligent. Surely he knew that she was being awful by avoiding him and neglecting him.
