Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

"But that's not fair!" Ven said, furrowing his eyebrows as he looked to Terra. He understood he stayed up past his "bedtime", but he wasn't that much younger than Terra and Aqua. Why did they get to set the rules for him? He was old enough to make his own decisions.

"Life's not fair, Ven," Terra said calmly, having dealt with Ven's anger before. He knew the routine by now, and he knew how to calm him down. "But actions have consequences. You're the one that decided to stay up late."

"Better get some rest. Tomorrow's gonna be fun, but hard," Terra said, seeing that Ven didn't have a response to that. "But you gotta clean up first." He was the one who made a mess of the living room, so it was his job to clean it up.

Ven frowned, looking at Terra. He knew he was trying to end this, but he wasn't for that. He was upset with how Aqua and Terra acted like his parents, but they weren't. He knew who his parents were since he regained his memories, and he didn't like the idea of anyone trying to take their place. But of course, nobody knew that. "You're not my father," he grumbled.

Terra saw Ven glance at Aqua, but then he glared at him again. He was surprised by what he said too, but he wouldn't let it get the best of him. "I'm not," he agreed. "But somebody needs to keep you responsible. When you start taking responsibility for your actions, then I'll stop acting like this."

Aqua looked at Ven with saddened eyes, her eyebrows furrowed slightly over them. Things were not supposed to take this turn; they were just kidding around. But...maybe Ven had enough. It certainly seemed like he was fed up with more than just the jokes.

Ven stood up, and Terra backed up to give him. He picked up the boxes and bags and managed to get all of them in his grasp securely, but he still had something to say. "I don't feel like sparring anymore," he said. He would just sleep in.

Aqua looked to Terra, not sure what to say. With Ven's new attitude, she didn't think sparring was a good idea either, but it was Terra's call. He would have to respond to this, since Ventus was speaking to him.

"Ven, we were just kidding around, waking you up like that," Terra said, eyebrows furrowed slightly as he looked at his younger best friend. Wasn't he overreacting just a bit?

"This isn't about you waking me up," Ventus said, eyebrows furrowed in disbelief. They had no idea, did they? How they babied him...And they didn't know about the memories he recovered so long ago, and how they bothered him. They never asked.

Aqua put a hand on Terra's arm, still standing next to him. "What's the matter, Ven?" she asked softly, looking at her brotherly figure. Why was he so upset? Was this about his parents?

"Nothing," Ven mumbled, turning around and starting towards the kitchen to put the food away. "It doesn't matter." By tomorrow, they'd forget any of this happened. He wanted to talk to them, but things were already different since Terra and Aqua got closer. They weren't as close to him now. He missed them.

Aqua's eyes softened as she watched Ven walk away, and she didn't know what to say. She didn't know how to act either. Ventus... Something was wrong here, and he wasn't opening up. That worried her.

Terra glanced down at Aqua, hearing Ven putting away food in the kitchen. "Looks like we all have to sit down and talk," he said softly. Ven wasn't acting like himself, and he wanted to know what was influencing his friend so much.

"Something tells me he'll never be willing to open up about this," Terra said, keeping his voice soft in case Ven came back. About two seconds after he finished speaking, he did come back into the room. Ven wordlessly went up to the TV, turned it off, and kept walking so he could go upstairs.

Aqua's eyes left Terra and trailed Ven, and she wished there was something she could say. She wanted to talk to him right away, but now didn't seem like a good time. It upset her, that he was hurting inside and he wouldn't tell them. She and Terra were his closest friends...

Ven left the room and went up the stairs, walking the distance in the upstairs hall to his bedroom. He softly shut the door and then sat down on his bed, realizing that his tiredness wasn't helping him feel calm. Surely he'd feel better in the morning.

"We should get to bed," Aqua said softly, looking at the area where Ventus disappeared as she stood next to Terra. It was late, and they had a busy night. It was fantastic, and she loved every minute of it, but they did need to get some sleep.

"Yeah," Terra said with a faint nod, realizing that Aqua was right. There was no point in worrying about Ven when there was nothing they could do to help.

Aqua turned her head to look up at the boy next to her, not saying anything. She wasn't sure what to say, and besides, she had more to worry about. Not only was she worried about Ven, but she also had to think about how to act in front of Terra. How were they supposed to say goodnight now? Or even good morning?

Oh...I guess we're supposed to say goodnight in some cute way now, Terra thought, catching onto what Aqua's gaze meant. "Tonight was a lot of fun," he said with a faint smile, turning to face Aqua more.

"Sure," Terra said with a faint nod and a smile. He was glad to do it; Aqua deserved special things like that. She was the best friend he could ever hope for, and now the best girlfriend he could hope for as well. He'd have to get used to referring to her as his girlfriend, not that he minded.

"Yeah, definitely," Terra agreed. He didn't know how he was going to top fireworks right now, but he'd find a way to create some more special dates. Aqua was worth the effort he put into the romance stuff.
