Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Namine glanced up at the picture and then bit down on her lip, starting forward as Roxas requested. But she wasn't going to enjoy them now that she knew her picture was hanging in this place. This just wasn't right...Her painting didn't belong in a museum as beautiful and professional as this.

Kairi looked back from the painting she was looking at with Sora, seeing Namine and Roxas leaving her painting. But...Namine didn't look happy. Kairi tilted her head slightly, lifting an eyebrow. That certainly wasn't good.

Sora failed to catch what happened with Roxas and Namine, not knowing that her painting was the one that was up ahead. It didn't look any different than the other ones in this museum, the picture so professional and perfect that he wouldn't have known the difference.

Kairi looked away after a moment, turning her attention back to the boy she loved. She reached for his hand in the silence, seeing how interested he was in the painting in front of them. He was awfully curious, wasn't he?

Sora glanced down when he felt Kairi's hand grasp his, his eyes going up to her a second later. He smiled faintly, realizing that she had caught him in a bit of a daze. He couldn't really help it; the picture in front of him reminded him of a distant memory he had almost forgotten.

Kairi smiled at Sora warmly, and then she took a step over toward the next painting a few feet away. She lightly tugged on his hand, asking him to come with her. He would like Namine's art piece.

Ventus noticed Sora humor Kairi by walking over with her, but he didn't stare at the couple. He noticed some people gathering at the front of this large, main room, and he figured the mayor would give an announcement about who won the art competition.

Aqua glanced over when she saw everyone was gathering in the large room, and she turned back to Terra, reaching for his hand. "It's time," she said softly. Everyone knew that Namine was entered due to Roxas spilling the secret to them. Now they needed to go see if she won anything. Aqua hoped she did; she was such an amazing artist.

Terra glanced over towards the front of the room, and he realized that Aqua was right. "Alright, let's go," he said, faintly squeezing her hand as he started over.

Aqua walked over with Terra, seeing there other friends already gathered there. She saw Riku standing near the back, aware that he wasn't a big fan of crowds. That was okay, since the man who was going to announce the prizes was up on a podium anyway.

Namine was standing by Roxas, though Sora and Kairi were with them since they came over to join them. She was uneasy, knowing that her art was entered in this. But she wasn't going to win anyway, so at least she wouldn't have to stand up on the stage and face this crowd.

Kairi stood next to Sora, though a small smile was on her face as she looked at the mayor. He was so charismatic, and he looked so happy about this museum's turnout. That was great.

"First of all, I'd like to thank you all for coming to the grand opening of this wonderful contribution to our community," the mayor said in front of the crowd, a proud smile on his face. "It's a wonderful turnout thanks to your generous donations and, of course, our amazing artists."

Namine heard the crowd applaud the mayor in agreement, and she halfheartedly clapped too. Her art was in this museum, but she wasn't one of the "amazing artists" that the mayor was referring to. There had to have been some kind of mistake for her art to hang here.

The mayor's eyes roamed the crowd, where he spotted his redheaded daughter next to her friends. "Our fellow artists have made wonderful pieces for the museum's art show, and I must say, none of you disappointed," he said, his smile growing as he looked over everyone. "With that said, we'll begin tonight's awards."

I should just leave, Namine thought, looking down towards the ground. Her art wasn't going to win anyway, and she was sure she didn't look too enthused to be there. She felt so dumb, her art seeming childish compared to the works of art the professionals did.

Roxas saw the mayor pull out a white ribbon, announcing that it went to the third place winner. Meanwhile, he turned his head to look at Namine. He reached for her hand when she saw how she was holding herself, hearing applause all around him for the third place winner. It wasn't her.

Namine bit down on her lip, grasping Roxas's hand back. She felt like asking him if they could just leave, but she knew that he wouldn't let her do that. He thought she could win this, but he was mistaken. As much as she loved Roxas, he didn't know much about art.

The mayor handed out the next award for second place, which went to a young man for his sketched piece. "Now, there are two more awards this evening. Our next one is first place, which goes to..." he trailed off, opening a card to see the name. "Joseph, please come accept your cash prize and ribbon!"

Kairi blinked in surprise, hearing the crowd applaude. Wait, what about Namine? She thought she would have gotten first place!

Namine slipped her hand out of Roxas's, glancing over him with a look that seemed to say, See, I told you my art wasn't good enough. She looked up at the stage and applauded for the first place winner, sure that his work was a whole lot better than hers.

Roxas's eyes softened at the look Namine gave him, and he rubbed the back of his head as he glanced at the floor. Man... He heard the mayor speak, and he lost his thought, looking up at the podium.

"Congratulations to all of you," the mayor said with a small nod and smile. "Now, we have an award for the Best in Show. This award goes to the artist whose work was voted the most creative and exquisite out of the entries to the museum. And coincidentally, we have a tie."

Namine looked up at the stage, surprised that the awards weren't done yet. There was still best in show, but she definitely wasn't going to win that. Her art wasn't nearly good enough for that kind of recognition.

"Benjamin and Namine, please come up," the mayor said. He looked over the crowd for them, seeing the brown-haired boy start toward him as the applause rang out.

Kairi's eyes widened and she turned to the girl she was standing next to. "Namine, you got Best in Show!" she said over the claps. That was great!

Namine looked over at Kairi with wide eyes, having thought that she imagined the mayor saying her name. "I did?" she asked in amazement. No...not only was her mind playing tricks on her, but so was Kairi's. This was impossible!

Oh gosh...this is really happening, Namine thought, nervous but happy. She seriously won?! She started up towards the stage, saying a polite "excuse me" whenever she had to squeeze between people.
