Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Sora was still asleep, though his stiffness and soreness kept him from sleeping too deeply. He grunted slightly, waking up a little when moving on the mattress caused him pain. How was he supposed to fight when he could barely even move without feeling pain? This fight today was going to be bad...really bad.
After knocking on the door, Kairi was let in by Sora's mother, who directed her to Sora's room. He was still sleeping, which wasn't too surprising; he'd been working hard all week. Kairi walked down the hall and saw the door to his room, being quiet for obvious reasons.

Sora knew, though, that no matter how sore he was, he'd fight his hardest. Riku drilled that into him all week, saying how he depended on Sora to not let him down. They both knew that Sora looked up to Riku and never wanted to let him down, and so he found it said that Riku was pulling at his heartstrings like that. But it worked.
Kairi approached Sora's door and knocked lightly, then opening it and peeking her head inside. She saw him in his bed immediately, which caused her eyes to soften. She hoped he was in good enough shape for today.

Sora thought he heard the soft noise of tapping at first, and then he heard the door open. He half expected it to be Riku to get in a last-minute training session, but when he peeked his eyes open, he saw somebody else. Kairi.
Kairi smiled weakly at the sight of Sora's eyes, which found her. She stepped into the room and shut the door quietly behind her, leaning back against it as she looked at the boy she loved. "Hey, sleepyhead," she greeted softly.

Sora forced his eyes to open fully, though he allowed himself to stay laying in the bed. "Hey, beautiful," he greeted quietly in return, awake enough to think of a pet name to call her. He didn't mind waking up to find her here with him, though he was curious about why she was there.
Kairi's smile widened at the name, and she shyly glanced down at her feet. After a second, though, she looked back up at him, moving toward his bed. "Ready for today?" she asked lightly. Sora was still tired, which was given, but the match was in about an hour.

"I guess I have to be," Sora responded softly, more serious than Kairi. He still didn't believe anything good would come out of this fight, but he couldn't change things now. He and Ven would fight to represent their "Masters".
Kairi stopped by Sora's bed, lightly sitting herself down in the open space beside him. "You don't have to do this, Sora," she said softly, recognizing his tone and words as those of negativity. He could back out. He didn't choose this.

"But I do," Sora responded softly, grunting slightly and rolling onto his back so he could look at Kairi's face better. "Riku'll kill me if I back out." Maybe not kill, but still, he wouldn't hear the end of it.
Kairi frowned at that. "Riku can handle himself. If this was really that important to him, he would go against Aqua alone and not use you to do the work for him," she said, though her tone held disapproval. Didn't Riku see what he was doing to Sora? And he wasn't even involved in what happened with Roxas! It was foolish and unnecessary.

"He doesn't see it that way," Sora said, faintly shaking his head against the pillow. "He thinks that this fight will reflect all of the training he put into me. His work. He doesn't see that I'm doing the real work by fighting."
"I know," Kairi said, lifting a hand and setting it on Sora's arm closest to her. "Why don't you say something? I've seen what he's done to you all week, and it's not good." Riku needed to be talked to about this, because his anger was too much lately.
  • Author
"I've tried talking to him all week," Sora responded. "Nothing is getting through to him. Every time I made a valid point, he just beat me until I gave up the idea." He really didn't like how Riku was taking advantage of him like this.
Kairi lowered her gaze at the words, nibbling on her bottom lip. How could Riku do this to his best friend? What had gotten into him? He wasn't himself.

"And then any time I said I wanted to give up, he said I would be letting him down if I did," Sora said softly, shutting his eyes. That hurt to hear, since Sora never ever wanted to let Riku down. And he knew that...Why was he taking advantage of him like this? It was stupid.
"...Riku's being a bully," Kairi admitted, furrowing her eyebrows. He didn't used to be like this, never. He and Sora were always joking around with each other, when things weren't supposed to be taken seriously. But now, that was all he was: serious. And rude, and mean.
  • Author
"He is," Sora agreed, nodding slightly. He just hoped that after this fight today, he could try to talk some sense into him. Maybe he was just really stressed about the fight...He didn't mean all the nasty stuff he said or did in the past week.
Kairi let her eyes find Sora again, and she moved her hand from Sora's arm to his chest. "Are you okay enough to do this?" she asked. Talking badly about Riku wouldn't help, but if there was anything she could do, she would.
  • Author
"Like I said, I have to be," Sora responded quietly, Kairi's hand feeling comforting on his chest. He had no choice but to fight, and he would have to roll out of bed soon to get ready for it.
Kairi didn't say anything, her eyes leaving Sora's face and going down to her hand on his chest. He wasn't going to back out, not that she really expected him to. Sora looked up to Riku in so many ways, which was why he was doing this. But she hoped he didn't let his ego get in the way, much like Riku usually did. That was one thing she didn't want the boy she loved to have.

Sora opened his eyes, looking up at Kairi at her silence. "Are you planning on watching?" he asked softly. He wasn't sure if Roxas would show up or not, or Terra.
"I've seen enough," Kairi replied quietly. She'd witnessed enough fighting this last week. She didn't know if Ven would be as harsh, but still... She didn't want to risk it.
  • Author
Sora hummed in understanding, glad to hear that. It was going to be an intense fight; he spoke to Ven during the week and they both agreed that they had to give everything they had in the battle. But how good would Ven be? Aqua probably wasn't training him as roughly as Riku was training Sora.
