Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Riku?" Sora said, looking towards his best friend a little bit at another thought. It was good he was trying to set things right with him, but somebody else needed an apology too. "You should try to set things right with Roxas."
Riku's eyes darkened at the thought of Roxas, and he looked away for a second. "He doesn't want to see me," he said quietly. "He won't want to talk, either." Roxas had avoided everyone over the last week, probably thinking about what Riku concluded.

"But...you still need to talk things out," Sora said, glancing at the ground before he looked back to Riku. "I mean, I know you believe the opposite of him, but...can't you guys at least be civil with each other again?"
"After that...probably not," Riku said with a small shake of his head. His eyes then went back to Sora's. "I told him Namine was in love with another guy, Sora. What if I said the same of Kairi? That wouldn't sit well with you, would it?"
  • Author
Sora shook his head, already knowing this. He had thought about it a lot, since he and Roxas lived together. "But...maybe you could just take it back? You know, talk to him and say you were wrong..." But Riku really did think he was right, didn't he?
Riku frowned. "That's the thing... I'm not," he stated. He wouldn't have said anything if it was just a hunch. He knew for sure what he saw between Namine and Ben, and it wasn't just his imagination. It was raw and real, whether any of them wanted to believe it or not.

"What if you just told Roxas you were wrong anyway?" Sora asked softly, aware that he was asking Riku to lie to his other best friend. But he was so stressed after what happened on the beach, worrying about Namine. Maybe it would be alright to lie...
"I don't think so," Riku said, starting to walk toward the dock. He may have lied to Sora in the past concerning his identity as "a castaway from the Darkness", but he wasn't going to do such a thing with somebody's lives. That was wrong.

Sora blinked, surprised when Riku started walking away. "Where are you going?" he called, staying where he was. They were in the middle of a conversation two seconds ago, but apparently that was over.
"Home," Riku called over his shoulder, glancing back a little. He wasn't feeling his best, and he just wanted to be alone for a while. Unless Sora had more to say.

Uh...okay? Sora thought, lifting a hand and scratching the side of his head. That was random, but he didn't feel like asking what was up. Honestly, even if Riku apologized, he didn't say sorry for everything. But if Sora brought up how mad he was at Riku for tugging at his emotions, then he would feel weak. He really was weak, letting his friend mess with him like that. He should have been tougher.
Riku stopped, turning around a little when Sora didn't respond. "What?" he asked, looking across his shoulder at his best friend. He saw what he was doing, scratching his head like that with that confused expression. What was he thinking about?

Sora lowered his hand, realizing Riku caught him thinking about something. "Nothing," he said, faintly shaking his head. He wasn't going to bring it up and feel like an idiot.
Riku lifted an eyebrow in speculation, not really believing that. Sora wouldn't give that look for nothing. He was lying.
  • Author
Sora lifted his hand again, ruffling his hair and glancing down towards the ground. He could read Riku pretty easily, and he knew that he didn't believe Sora was thinking about nothing. I gotta cover my emotions better.
"What, Sora?" Riku asked again, still staring at him. Did it have something to do with Roxas again? He did walk away from that conversation a bit, but still, didn't he get his point across?
  • Author
"It's nothing," Sora repeated, keeping his gaze down as his hand remained still on the back of his head. He would feel like an idiot saying it aloud, and in front of Riku. All week he talked about letting him down, and Sora always felt like that was what he was doing if he ever showed hurt.
"...It doesn't look like nothing," Riku admitted quietly from his spot a few yards away. By the way Sora was acting, it seemed like it was something. At least to Riku.
  • Author
I really do need to stop being such an open book, Sora thought, lowering his hand before glancing up at Riku. But he quickly looked back down towards the ground, his feelings of insecurity coming up. "...It's idiotic."
"That's not surprising," Riku said, turning a little more to completely face Sora. He was kidding of course, being sarcastic to ease the tension a little. But what was so idiotic?
  • Author
Sora looked up in surprise at the words, but when he saw the look on Riku's face, the sarcasm became more apparent. He smiled weakly but looked back down at the ground. How was he supposed to put this without sounding childish or dumb?
"C'mon, Sora, we're best friends," Riku said with a small shrug. "Just tell me." He could tell him anything and he wouldn't judge. Riku wasn't like that. Sora knew it too.
  • Author
Sora's smile faded away, and he knew that he had to tell Riku what was up. "Just...all week, you talked about me letting you down. And...I was wondering if...I did that," he finished hesitantly, glancing up at Riku before looking towards the ocean. He didn't win the fight.
Riku blinked in a small amount of surprise. That was what this was about? "...No, you didn't," he answered honestly. Winning may have been a goal, but it wasn't the goal. He'd been aiming at proving what he could do and what Sora could do. That was done.
  • Author
Sora nodded slightly, lifting a hand and scratching his cheek. That wasn't really what he was wondering about, even if it was around the same topic. Riku played with his emotions, and that bugged him. A lot.
