Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"The fight was tough, but it was fair," Riku continued at the silence. "You held your ground, and that was all I could really ask for." He did well for how much pressure he'd put on Sora lately. He still felt bad about that...

Sora hummed, lowering his hand from his cheek. It was a nervous habit, and one that he did whenever he wasn't completely truthful. He wondered if Riku had picked up on that, but if he hadn't, that was alright. This was a touchy subject anyway.
"Is that all?" Riku asked, tilting his head slightly. He gazed at Sora silently from where he stood, wondering if that was all he wanted to discuss. If so, Riku was going home to think while Sora needed to get home and rest.
  • Author
"Uh...not really," Sora confessed, shocking himself. He thought he wouldn't say anything! Well, since he started talking, he might as well just spit it out before Riku got impatient with him. "Just...it really bugged me this week, when you said I would let you down if I backed out of this fight." He finally looked up at Riku, being honest now.
Riku thought about what Sora said for a minute before he slowly nodded, silently urging him to continue. He would have been upset, so how was that a problem?
  • Author
"I just...didn't appreciate how you pulled at my heartstrings and forced me into doing something I didn't want to do," Sora said, glancing back down towards the ground before he looked up. He knew he was a sap, but Riku took advantage of that. That hurt. "But you already said sorry, so that's why it's idiotic to bring it up."
Riku lowered his eyes to the water nearby at the topic, though he didn't agree with Sora. "Just because I said sorry doesn't make it okay," he pointed out. "I dragged you into this anyway, which was pretty dumb. I'll accept the consequences of my actions, and if that means you're mad at me, so be it."
  • Author
"But...I hate being mad at you," Sora said, faintly shaking his head and looking to Riku. "We're best friends." They weren't supposed to hold grudges, but he was doing just that. That wasn't right...
"That doesn't excuse this behavior," Riku said, meeting Sora's gaze. "A best friend shouldn't force the other to fight his own battles, and that was what I did with you. Don't feel obligated to forgive me, and I won't force myself to pretend like nothing happened. Even if it's already done, it happened, and there's nothing either of us can do about it." He shrugged a little. "As I said before, I'll accept the consequences. This is one of them."
  • Author
"But I have to face the consequences from your actions too," Sora protested. "This doesn't just affect you, Riku. If I stay mad at you, then what? I don't care if you deserve...in the end, if I hold a grudge, then I miss out on being your friend for a while." And he didn't want that; Riku was practically his older brother.
Riku shook his head. "As of right now, that shouldn't be a downside," he admitted softly. He was a jerk, and he had been for the last week. He was surprised Sora hadn't gone home already.
  • Author
Sora furrowed his eyebrows slightly at Riku's negativity, though he should have expected it. Sora always was the more positive one of the two. "You're still my best friend, even if you are a jerk," he said with a weak smile.
Riku caught Sora's smile as he heard the words, and he smirked a little. "Hm," he hummed softly, nodding. At least Sora accepted him for who he was, otherwise they wouldn't have been best friends. A life without their friendship wasn't something Riku could really imagine.
  • Author
Sora's faint smile turned into a light smirk, glad Riku wasn't offended at being called a jerk. "And I'm still your best friend, even if I am a sap." He felt sappy for bringing up how he was feeling since Riku was so tough, but oh well. It was in the open now.
Riku nodded. "Right. At least I'm not a total sap like you," he agreed, his smirk growing. If he was sap, then this would have been a total lovefest. Thinking about it kind of made him sick.
  • Author
"You don't have to be so eager to agree with me," Sora said with a soft laugh, his smirk still present. But still, Riku was right. And he had said he was a sap in the first place, so he wasn't really offended by it.
Riku shrugged a little. "I didn't want to miss the opportunity," he admitted jokingly. He took whatever chance he could get to mess with Sora, even if it was harmless.
  • Author
"Thanks a lot!" Sora said sarcastically, rolling his eyes. But his smirk remained on his face, the tension between him and Riku fading as they started acting like they normally did.
"No big deal," Riku said with a small shake of his head. He then chuckled a little, turning around and starting for the dock again. He had a feeling this conversation was coming to a close.
  • Author
Sora's faint smirk stayed on his lips, and he let Riku walk away without protesting this time. He didn't really feel like he had anything left to say now, anyway. All he wanted to do was get some rest, and he would probably do that here on the beach.
"Coming or what?" Riku asked when he didn't hear Sora's footsteps in the sand behind him. He yelled it over his shoulder, glancing behind him as he kept walking toward the dock.
  • Author
"Nah," Sora called in response. "I'm crashing here." There was nothing like falling asleep in the sun on the beach; he'd have a nice nap here. And nobody would come over anyway, so he'd be able to sleep well with the ocean waves as a lullaby.
Riku jumped up onto the dock, accepting that answer. "I'll tell Kairi," he called, glancing over at his friend as he approached his boat. She would probably want to see him soon, but Riku would let her know what was going on.
  • Author
"'Kay," Sora said with a faint nod, falling back into the sand. He felt the warmth against his back and it immediately made him feel soothed, the brunet shutting his eyes. Time to get some rest.
Riku managed to untie his boat and climb inside, then starting to paddle back. The gentle waves didn't hinder his progress, so he managed to get across the stretch of water easily. At least some weight was off his shoulders, but now he knew he had to go think about other matters.
