Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Namine frowned, keeping her gaze down. Normally she would have softened at Roxas's apology, but not today. "Nice" Namine was gone. "You better have been thinking about something really important," she said. And that was something she wanted to know about, right now.
"It was really important," Roxas said softly, opening his eyes to look uneasily up at her. "At least to me." Nobody else bothered to talk to him about it, not that he wanted to. It was too scary.

Namine looked back up at Roxas, her eyes finding his. Her gaze seemed to express her question well enough, so she didn't bother speaking it aloud. What was so important?
Roxas felt Namine's gaze on him, and he briefly met it. "It was about you...and me," he started softly. He then glanced away. "And Ben." He didn't want to think this way, but he had it in his head that he had no choice.

Namine felt her expression change from an angered one to another one that expressed confusion. Roxas thought there was something going on with her and Ben?
"I...Something was said that got to me," Roxas confessed, avoiding Namine's eyes. "I didn't answer your calls because I was...scared." He was scared she would hurt him.
  • Author
Namine glanced up a little bit, a soft breath leaving her. Alright, it sounded like Roxas maybe had a valid excuse for avoiding her calls. But he wasn't off the hook yet. "What were you scared of?" she asked, her voice more gentle than before.
Roxas pressed his lips together and looked up from the ground to Namine's face. "...That you would end us," he admitted then. Their relationship. He was afraid she would throw it away for him.
  • Author
Namine's eyes widened in surprise to that, her arms coming unfolded. He thought she was calling so many times to break up with him? ...How heartless did he think she was? Even if she did have something major with Ben at camp, which she didn't, she wouldn't have broken up with Roxas over the phone.
Roxas lowered his gaze at her expression. "Please don't tell me it's true," he said, referring to his hunch. He didn't want her to leave him for Ben. Even if they didn't have that artistic connection, he loved her. So much.

"I wasn't calling to break up with you," Namine said softly, looking towards the ground. She felt the anger start rising now, forgetting that Roxas was scared of their relationship ending over Ben. "And I would never be cruel enough to break up with somebody over the phone."
"I should have realized that," Roxas said, scratching the side of his head as he lifted his eyes to Namine. "I wasn't thinking..." Or maybe he was, but just in a different way. But Namine didn't deny one thing, and that was Ben. What did that mean?
  • Author
"Clearly," Namine said, eyebrows furrowing as she looked away. How could he even think that she would do such a thing? That was a ridiculous notion. She needed him so badly during the weeks of Art Camp, and she felt her frustration and anger coming up now.
"It's just...Riku was so convinced you two had chemistry," Roxas said, seeing Namine look away. He kept his eyes on her, able to tell how frustrated she was getting. "And thinking about it, you kinda do, I guess."
  • Author
"But you were the one who believed that I'd let some kind of 'chemistry' get in the way of our relationship," Namine said, lifting a hand to her forehead and looking towards the ground. She was careful not to knock off the hat, though she had many other things to worry about. Did Roxas realize how ridiculous this was? She needed him, but he was too busy worrying to help her!
Roxas didn't say anything, knowing that Namine was correct with that assumption. Riku may have been the one to recognize the chemistry, but he never said what it would do to the relationship. That was all Roxas. But...what was it doing to them now? To him, it was so obvious.
  • Author
"Roxas," Namine sighed, moving her hand away from her forehead at his silent agreement. "Do you realize how stupid this is? I hadn't even thought about ending our relationship. I just needed you so badly!" So badly that I am thinking about ending what we have right now.
"I'm sorry!" Roxas said again, though his voice was louder this time. "But did you really want to talk to me when I was like this? You would have only realized something was wrong over the phone and that would have made camp worse for you!" He was just trying to protect her, but maybe that didn't really work.
  • Author
"Camp couldn't have been much worse than it already was," Namine said more softly, shifting her gaze down and to the side. Roxas had no idea what happened there with all the terrible pranks.
Roxas exhaled a breath, his eyes still on Namine. "I don't think I would have been able to help you," he replied honestly. He wasn't in the right place to be able to offer any advice or comfort when he needed it himself.
  • Author
"The sound of your voice would have helped," Namine said softly, her gaze turning sadder as she ignored Roxas's gaze on her. She just wanted to hear him say that things would be alright. That was all she needed.
"...Sorry," Roxas said for the umteenth time, lowering his gaze. He really was. He didn't want this to ruin things between them, but everything was poorly timed. But...what about Ben? Namine still hadn't denied him in this whole equation. At least not directly.
  • Author
Namine clasped her hands behind her back, planting her feet so she wouldn't hug him. That was what she always wanted to do whenever he sounded sad. But really, she wanted to hug him because of how miserable she was. But a lot of it was because of him, so she wouldn't hug him and feel the support of the embrace he provided. She didn't want his support if it was only there when it was convenient for him.
"Namine..." Roxas said after a minute. "Tell me something." He felt his heart beat picking up in anxiousness, not wanting to have an answer to this question. But he needed to know. He lifted his blue eyes to her, fear in them. "...Is there something between you and Ben? Just...tell me that." He had been going crazy over the possibility, and now was the moment of truth.
  • Author
Namine's eyes widened at the question, and she still avoided Roxas's gaze. She wouldn't answer that. And she felt angry that Roxas would be more concerned about that than figuring out why she needed him so badly at art camp. "This isn't about me and Ben," she said, some anger coming through in her tone. "This is about you keeping secrets from me for the millionth time. So don't change the subject!"
