Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Roxas turned his head a little to meet Sora's gaze, but then he looked down. He shook his head, silently answering. Sora understood what he was going through, and he wasn't sure that was good or bad.

Sora kept his gaze on Roxas, even if he wasn't looking at him. "I know everything you're feeling right now," he said. "The anger. The hurt. The betrayal. I was lucky in a way that I could channel all of those feelings into a battle. But you need to find your own way to sort out these emotions." Killing Ben was out of the question.
"I don't know what to do," Roxas said weakly, feeling the tears wanting to shed at the thought of what Namine did. She hurt him...so badly. Surely she realized that, but... But nothing. There was nothing left.

"I know," Sora said softly, looking down so he would give Roxas some privacy. "But it's alright not to know what to do right away." Sora had been a wreak on the inside when he found out about Nathaniel, but he covered it up so nobody else would see it.
Roxas only gazed at his reflection in the water, not responding. He didn't know how. All he felt was pain, everywhere, especially in his heart. Namine shattered him, didn't she know that? Even if she did, she probably didn't care. In her eyes, he was the bad guy, so she would go running to Ben, who did everything for her and was everything for her. Things Roxas couldn't be.

"But I know one thing," Sora said. "Playing the blame game will kill you inside." He tried it himself, blaming Kairi for falling in love, Nathaniel for being that lover, and himself for leaving her alone. In the end, it only brought heartache.
"But it is her fault..." Roxas defended himself weakly. "She ruined everything." She let herself fall for another guy, just like Riku said she did. Roxas didn't want to believe it, but it was so obvious to him now. He was single and so was Namine, but he had a feeling she wouldn't be for long. After all, Ben was right there.
  • Author
"Alright, it's her fault," Sora said, shifting his gaze to Roxas. "So what're you going to do now that you've placed the blame on somebody?" Nothing, because it was a pointless thing to worry about. No matter who was guilty, he would pay the same price.
Roxas closed his eyes, no longer looking at his reflection. "Nothing," he said quietly. Sora made his point. Blaming Namine didn't do anything.

Sora nodded slightly, looking to the water. "Do you remember what I did when I was in this situation?" he asked softly. He remembered it clearly, but if Roxas didn't, he'd explain.
"...No," Roxas replied after a second's thought. He tried remembering, but he forgot. It was such a long time ago that it was hard to remember.

"I looked past my own hurt and fear and saw what Kairi was really feeling," Sora said. "I set aside my own emotions and realized eventually that Kairi was hurt and confused and scared too. But the most important thing I did was that I never stopped loving her. I didn't lose faith in her, even if she seemed to lose all faith in our relationship."
Roxas opened his eyes but didn't say a word. What exactly could he say to that? He knew one thing: I'm not you. But would it make a difference if he said it?
  • Author
"I'm not saying you should act exactly like I did," Sora said, looking over at Roxas. "And I'm not saying your situation is identical. What I'm saying is that if Kairi and I can still be together after that, then so can you and Namine." It wasn't over yet.
"But...Ben is perfect for her," Roxas said, lifting his eyes to Sora then. "He has the same interests as her and treats her better than I did." At that, he frowned, realizing the truth behind his words. "I guess she does have a reason to like him instead of me." He let his eyes find the water again, swinging his feet absently.
  • Author
"But she has reason to like you too," Sora said, nudging his friend with his elbow to catch his attention. "He can never be her guardian angel like you were." Roxas saved her life more than once and gave her hope countless times more.
Roxas smiled weakly, and a little bit in sadness as he glanced up at Sora. "Sometimes guardian angels aren't always there to catch you when you fall, though," he replied quietly, his smile fading. He remembered countless times how he was too late for Namine, and this may have been a different situation, but this time he wasn't suitable.
  • Author
"But they're always there to help you back up," Sora said softly. Roxas had a history of bad timing, coming too late often times. But he always came, especially for Namine. He loved her with all he had.
"Maybe," Roxas said with a nod. "But what if the person you're destined to help doesn't want you to be the one to help them to their feet?" What if they wanted someone else to do that? Someone who was better?
  • Author
"Well," Sora said, shifting his gaze to the sky as he thought about it. "I guess a few things can happen. One is that the guardian angel becomes friends with the person and is there to help her in that way. Or he watches out for her and protects her in secret. Personally, I'd choose to try the first one. Friendship is better than nothing."
"I guess so, but it's hard to be friends with someone who hurt you." Roxas wasn't going to accept Sora's optimistic ways so easily. He was his other half after all; he was more negative.
  • Author
"Hard, but not impossible," Sora said, looking over at Roxas. "And worth the effort if you love them." And Roxas did love her, so he would put in the effort. Sora just knew it.
Roxas lowered his gaze to the water, resting his head in his hands. "It's not that easy," he said, desperate to get Sora to see his side of things. Just once. "I can't do that now."
  • Author
"Why not?" Sora challenged simply, looking to the island. If Roxas had a valid excuse, he'd be glad to hear it. And then he'd prove him wrong.
"Because I love her, Sora," Roxas said, closing his eyes. "Being around her but not being able to touch her or look at her the way I used to... It'll be too hard for me. I'm not strong enough to do that, or see her with Ben..." If that happened. He was sure it would. After all, Namine and Roxas were no longer a couple. She was free.
