Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku could feel everyone's eyes on him, and he shifted his crossed arms in discomfort at the attention, another reason why he kept his gaze away from anyone else. "I was weak," he confessed lowly, unhappy with how he was in the past. "I wanted nothing more to leave and gain power, something I knew was destined for me when I was little." Riku was referring to when Terra recited a ceremonial speech to him regarding the Keyblade, and how he needed to keep it a secret. Unfortunately, this part of his story couldn't be hidden.

Terra's eyebrows automatically furrowed, figuring out that Riku was referring to the Keyblade. He had given it to him when he was little, after the young boy assured him that he wanted the strength to defend those that he loved.

"I convinced myself that I wasn't afraid of the Darkness," Riku continued gravely. "But it eventually overpowered me, and Sora and I became enemies. We were trying to save Kairi each in our own way, but I was going about it all wrong." He rolled his eyes at the thought, ashamed with himself. "I didn't realized it then, but I sure do now."

Kairi nibbled on her bottom lip, looking over at Riku with sad eyes. She didn't like the memory, but it was true. One of her boys chose Darkness, while the other chose a brighter path.

But what does that have to do with Xehanort? Terra wondered silently, keeping his eyes on Riku. He really didn't like to hear this, now understanding why Sora and Riku hadn't wanted to bring it up. It was so bizarre, how he and Riku both struggled with the Darkness.

Riku closed his eyes, continuing on with his story. "Anyway, Maleficent corrupted me and told me I could have even more power, and all I wanted was to be able to save Kairi, so I accepted. Unfortunately, Xehanort's Heartless took that as his chance to turn me to Darkness completely, and so he took both my heart and body from me." It wasn't something he was proud of, which was why he was struggling to even tell them about it now.

Aqua's expression broke at the story she was hearing, feeling horrible for Riku. He had been tricked...just like Terra. This was awful.

Terra's eyes narrowed in anger, not towards Riku, but at Xehanort. His Heartless possessed Riku just like his real self possessed Terra. Riku, we're too much alike, he thought, frowning as he looked down at the sand that he was sitting on.
"Sora defeated him, which ultimately saved my life. Ever since then, I've been trying to control the Darkness that's still a part of me," Riku explained further. "I've got a good handle on it, and I use it to protect the things that matter." He opened his eyes then, turning his head to look at Sora and Kairi. Riku used his Darkness to protect his friends, and in that way, it wasn't a bad side of him.

Sora looked up at Riku when he felt his friend's gaze on him, and he nodded slightly. Riku had gone as far as to lose his natural appearance by changing into Ansem Seeker of Darkness to capture Roxas so that Sora could wake up. He could never forget the sacrifices Riku made for his sake.

Riku turned his head to look at Terra and Aqua, seriousness in his gaze. "If it helps protect my friends, then I'll deal," he finished. The Darkness would always be a part of him, because it was his Darkness. He had to live with it, whether he liked it or not. And if Riku was going to live with it, he was going to use it for better purposes.

Aqua nodded a little, understanding Riku's way of thinking. He was brave, she had to give him that; he was dealing with so much, and yet he did it for his friends. That was a true friend, and she was relieved to see that Sora and Kairi had that.

Terra nodded slightly, glad that Riku had made use of his time in the Darkness. Now that Terra was free, it was time that he did the same. Obviously he would suffer consequences of having Master Xehanort possess him, but if he could use it to his advantage like Riku had, then he would be just fine.
Kairi smiled softly at Riku, proud of him for his achievements, even if he had to lose other things in the process. He was stronger than before, and all of the trouble he'd gone through paid off in the end. As sad as she was at all the horrible memories, Kairi was happy that he was content with his life; it was better than him being upset with it.

"So, you guys never really explained something..." Terra said, changing the topic once he sensed nothing more would be said on Riku's expriences. "Why do Roxas and Ven look so much alike? And Sora and Vanitas?" They had said earlier that Ven's heart resided within Sora for those eleven years, but he was still confused as to why Sora's Nobody looked like his best friend and why Vanitas was similar to Sora.

Roxas was glad Terra asked, because he had been wondering that for a while now. It was so bizarre, how much everybody looked alike. Was that supposed to happen? Or was it simply just a coincidence?

"I think..." Aqua started softly, taking the lead on this one, "that the reason for Ven and Roxas looking identical is because of their connection to Sora." Her eyes lifted from the ground then, looking at the brunet. "Ven's heart was within you, right? And Roxas," she said, looking over at him, "you're his Nobody. Maybe it has something to do with that..." It was the best conclusion she could come to; all three boys were somehow connected to one another.

  • Author
"And...I think I met Ven's heart before he went to sleep," Sora said, eyebrows furrowing slightly as he focused on his thoughts and stared at the ground. "I think my heart might have healed his when he was first damaged by Vanitas's extraction, so that explains why he would look like me." That was the best he could figure it, anyway.
Riku furrowed his eyebrows in thought. So Vanitas, Sora, Ven, and Roxas were all connected...because of Sora? That was insane, but Riku was able to believe it. Sora was the key to a lot of things, even the most unimaginable.
  • Author
"And you guys said before that Roxas reflected Ven because Ven's heart was in me when I became a Heartless," Sora continued, looking up and glancing at Aqua and Riku when he said this part. Nobodies reflect their Somebodies, Sora thought, glancing down at the ground again. But in the case of Roxas, it was different. He had a fifty percent chance of looking like Sora and a fifty percent chance of looking like Ventus since both their hearts were in Sora. So, Roxas just happened to look like Ven instead of Sora.
Roxas blinked in surprise at the explanation, unable to believe how bizarre this was. "Whoa..." he whispered, looking from Sora over to the person who was sleeping against the shack. What a small world...

"...That sound about right?" Sora asked, looking up and glancing at Aqua before he looked to Riku beside him. Riku was the one who figured out where Ven's heart was in the first place, after all. So if Sora's logic was wrong, then he could hopefully explain things.

Riku met Sora's gaze and nodded once. "I think so," he said. It sounded about right, from what he could remember. They discussed that not too long ago to Aqua, and at the thought he looked over to the Keyblade Master.

Aqua smiled faintly and nodded. The boys were right; Nobodies reflected their Somebody's appearance. And because Sora had two hearts inside of him at the time, Roxas just happened to mirror Ven's features.

  • Author
Sora nodded slightly, not knowing what else to say. There was another unspoken point that was conveyed through this conversation: Roxas had his own heart. He looked like Ven, but Ventus obviously still had his own heart, so Roxas really was his own person.
Kairi looked around the circle, seeing that mostly everything was settled out. In the end, everyone was alright, everyone survived. In her eyes, that was great, and she was very relieved that nobody had a disadvantage because of anything that occurred, especially Roxas, Ven, or Sora. That alone was very complicated.
  • Author
Terra glanced around the circle, not thinking of any more questions. Everything was pretty much sorted out, and that was good, considering that it was getting late now.
Roxas let his eyes leave Ventus and find his legs. So...he was still himself, right? He wasn't Ventus? They all had hearts...so he was his own person. He certainly liked to believe so.

Namine glanced over at Roxas beside her, the girl squeezing his hand lightly at his thoughtful expression. She didn't know what was going through his mind, but she could tell he was really thinking about it.
Roxas turned his head to look at the person to his side, reacting to the small gesture. He offered Namne a faint smile upon meeting her eyes, glad that she was there. If he wasn't his own person, he wouldn't have the ability to love her, would he?
