A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Ben swallowed in nervousness, knowing that it was going to happen. His eyes dropped to Namine's lips. They were right there...waiting for him. "...I'm here for you," he said softly, leaning a little closer.

Namine's heart skipped a beat at the words, her eyes still on his. But they were so close that she couldn't see them clearly. She didn't dwell on that, though, feeling Ben's lips come in contact with hers.

Ben's lips brushed against Namine's briefly and he pulled back slightly, eyes widening a little. But then he lifted his hand from atop hers and put it in her brown hair, but gently, the boy bringing his face closer once more. His lips touched hers more this time, enough for him to correctly and completely kiss her.

Namine shut her eyes at Ben's gentle kiss, the brunette lightly kissing him back. She also lifted a hand and set it on the back of his neck, her fingers in his hair a little. She had to admit, she had been dreaming of this kiss for a long time.

Even if he was a guy, Ben felt butterflies in his stomach at the way Namine kissed him back. His eyes were now closed as his lips moved with hers, the boy having thought over this moment millions of times before in his head. And now it was here... He was kissing Namine.

I've been dreaming of it, but...Namine started thinking, analyzing the feelings in her heart. ...I don't feel that spark anymore. It was a great kiss, but she didn't feel attracted to Ben like she expected.

Ben pulled away after a minute, though his fingers lingered in Namine's hair. He opened his eyes and looked at her, their faces still in a closer proximity than normal. He just kissed her...but, something didn't feel completely right about it.

Namine kept her hand on Ben's neck, her eyes opening after the kiss was completely. Her eyes found his as she exhaled a soft breath, the girl feeling a revelation. She finally understood...everything.

"Um..." Ben said, smiling shyly as he looked at Namine. He wasn't really sure what to say after something like that. It was different than he expected. Great, but...not exactly what he thought it would be.

Namine smiled softly, her fingers still in Ben's hair a little. "Do you remember a while ago, when you said you liked being honest?" she asked quietly. She remembered that day, because it was the day he confessed he had a crush on her.

"Yeah," Ben said, his eyes on Namine's. He remembered saying that, since he respected the truth and despised lies. He'd told Namine as much, which was why he told her how he felt about her that day. It led them here, right?

"I like being honest too," Namine said softly. "That's why I have to say...I didn't feel any romantic spark from...that." The kiss was a good one, there was no doubt about that. But her heart wasn't in it like she expected it to be.

Ben blinked at the words, pulling his hand slowly back from Namine's hair. "You know something..." he said softly, looking to the ground briefly. "...I don't think I felt anything either." It was weird. He had such a big crush on Namine, and yet the kiss didn't really have a long-term effect on him. Yeah, it gave him butterflies at first, but now....not much of anything.

Namine pulled back her hand as well, glancing down at her lap before she looked back up at Ben. She was so glad to hear that, and she think she knew why that was. "I think...we confused our feelings," she said. "We were attracted to each others' passion for art...you know?" That made sense to her; his passion was the first thing she noticed about him.

Ben smiled a little, nodding. "You're probably right," he said. Namine was a great girl--smart, beautiful, and a wonderful person. She was great at art as well, but maybe that was all the attraction was.

"You agree?" Namine asked, relieved again to see his smile. It seemed like he agreed completely, which meant that he felt the same. They didn't like each other like that. She definitely wanted to be his friend in the future, but her crush for him was gone. Completely.

Ben nodded, looking back up at Namine. "I do," he said, his smile still present. Maybe he thought he and Namine had a shot, but...she wasn't the one for him.

Namine laughed softly, just so happy. "Then you agree that we shouldn't pursue things any further," Namine said. Finally, something was making sense to her! She and Ben really weren't meant to be, which meant...

Ben shook his head, a few strands of his brown hair getting in his eyes before the breeze blew them away. "It's not meant to be," he said, his smile dimming a little. He was...okay with it, actually. Namine wasn't his to love, and he wasn't hers.

Namine smiled, though it dimmed a little at a more serious though. "We still want to be friends, right?" she asked. Just because she didn't like Ben romantically didn't mean that she wanted him out of her life.

"Of course," Ben said with a nod, agreeing to that immediately. Just because they weren't romantically involved didn't mean they still couldn't communicate. He held out his hand for Namine to take. "Friends?"

Namine's smile returned as she lifted a hand, grasping Ben's. "Friends," she agreed. And nothing more. She was so relieved at that, too relieved to even sort out her thoughts. But she knew one thing: she had to talk to Roxas. Right away.

Ben kept his hold on Namine's hand for a moment before pulling back. "Cool," he said with a smile. That was good. This wasn't a mistake; it was a lesson. He and Namine weren't meant to be together, and they had a mutual agreement to be friends. It was settled.

Namine smiled, nodding. She set her hands on the ground and pushed herself up, looking to Ben in the sand. "I gotta get going," she said. "And you better hurry if you want some pictures before the lighting is bad." They both were going to continue on their separate paths now, as it was meant to be.

"Heh," Ben laughed softly once, lifting a hand to his hair as he looked up at her. "Right. See ya, Namine." He nodded to her in a farewell. She was his friend, and that was really all that mattered.
