Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Ven shook his head a little, glancing up at Aqua. "I have to get it off my chest," he said softly. It was terrible, and though he wouldn't say everything, he would say most of it. Everything that was important.
Aqua hesitated, but then nodded. If that was what Ventus wanted, she wouldn't deny him the opportunity to tell. It was his story, his life.

Ven looked down again, compiling his thoughts. He could do this. "I lived in Radiant Garden," he said. "Me and my parents. I was their only child, and we were really close." He had a lot of good memories with them, that was for sure.
Radiant Garden, Aqua thought. It was such a wonderful world, in the past, and it had no doubt been a great place to raise children. It only made sense that someone as good as Ven came from there.

"I was pretty little when I first met Master Xehanort," Ven said, staring at the ground as he focused on telling things in a clear manner. "Maybe six or seven. He was a traveler and my parents invited him to dine with us. He told them that he was a Keyblade Master and he sensed my potential. He wanted to take me away from my home and train me." But it hadn't worked out that way.
Aqua kept her eyes on Ven, listening carefully. She had a feeling this would be where things grew dark in Ventus's life, which made her tighten her grasp on her hands.

"They refused to let him take me," Ventus said, eyebrows furrowing slightly. "He didn't take it well at first, but then he politely excused himself and left the house. Our lives were normal until a few days later, when I came home from school and my house was on fire. It was huge...Nobody knew that I was there because they were so distracted with putting it out. It didn't matter. My parents died." He squeezed his hands into fists, swallowing in sadness.

Terra's lips parted slightly at the turn in the story, having not expected to hear that. They died in a fire? That was a terrible way to die.

Aqua's eyes widened, the girl blinking in shock. Ven's parents died in the fire? That was awful!

"Master Xehanort was there," Ven said. "He pulled me aside and said that he felt it was his responsibility to raise me as his student now that I had nobody else. It was a lie, but I was too little to know better. So he took me as his student and trained me for the years before I met you guys." His tone changed from sad to angry, the boy speaking through his teeth as he revealed what else happened. "I didn't know until years after the fire that I learned that he actually burned my house down and killed my parents himself to take me away." He was terrible, and Ven never knew he could hate somebody as much as he now hated Xehanort.
Aqua lowered her head, closing her eyes in sadness. This was horrendous. Master Xehanort truly was cruel, and to children as innocent as Ventus, purely for his own good. The man had been greedy for Ven's power, and he got it through murder.

"That's it," Ven said softly. "That's what my nightmares are about, and why I'm sensitive about you guys acting like my parents sometimes." It was because he missed his so badly. It wasn't right for them to die like that...It wasn't right for Xehanort to take him away for his own selfish motives.
"I'm...so sorry, Ven," Aqua said quietly, opening her eyes to stare at the floor. His past was awful, and all because of Xehanort. Such a cruel being. She was glad he was gone.

Ven nodded slightly, leaned forward on his seat with his head lowered. He shut his eyes in sorrow, not knowing how to respond. He tried pushing off the memories for the first few months because he was naturally optimistic, but he discovered about a month ago that he couldn't run away from these things. It was impossible to escape his past.
Aqua lifted her head after a moment, seeing Ventus on the couch Terra was also sitting on. She glanced at her boyfriend sadly before pushing herself up from the plush chair she was in, approaching her best friend in silence.

Terra glanced up at Aqua in sadness, not knowing what else to do. He noticed her going to Ven, but he didn't move. There was a spot in the middle of the couch where Aqua could sit next to Ven, unless she had other things in mind.
Aqua didn't take the open seat between her two boys. Instead, she stopped in front of Ven and knelt down before him. She silently lifted her hand and set it on one of his in front of her, wrapping her fingers around it gently.

Ven lifted his head a little, opening his eyes when he felt Aqua grasp one of his hands. He glanced up at her eyes but then looked back down at the hand she held, not wanting her to see the sorrow in his eyes.
"Terra and I are in no way trying to replace your parents," Aqua started softly, keeping her eyes on Ven's face, even if he wouldn't return the eye contact. "And if it seems that we have, I'm incredibly sorry. Those will never be anyone else's shoes to fill."

Terra nodded slightly in agreement, moving on the couch to sit right beside Ven. He lifted a hand, lightly setting it on his best friend's shoulder. "We're just your protective older siblings," he said, glancing at Aqua with a weak smile before he looked back to Ven. "That's all." They weren't trying to be his parents, not at all.
Aqua nodded silently in agreement, keeping her grasp on Ven's hand. Terra was correct with saying they were protective siblings, because Ventus was practically her and Terra's little brother. Family. That would never change.
  • Author
"Thanks," Ven said, weakly smiling and nodding a little. He was glad to hear that, because he loved Terra and Aqua. He was glad to be their friends, even if he only met them because of Master Xehanort.
"Mm," Aqua hummed quietly, squeezing Ven's hand. She would always keep him close; she never wanted their strong bond of friendship to dwindle and disappear. She didn't have her parents, and she didn't know if Terra lost his either. But they were all family, just as they had been with Master Eraqus, who treated them and loved them as if they were his own children.

Ven felt Terra pat his shoulder and then remove his hand, the action not surprising him. Terra never really was a sentimental one, though he was changing for Aqua's sake. He was happy for his two friends; he hoped they knew that. He had a little too down about everything lately to show it.
Aqua tilted her head slightly, her eyes still on her best friend. "Would you like anything?" she asked softly. If he needed anything, she would be glad to help. Breakfast, to watch a movie, a spar match... Anything.
  • Author
"Nah," Ven said, faintly shaking his head and looking up at Aqua. He couldn't think of anything he needed except maybe...a hug. But he wouldn't ask for that.
