A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Riku stopped walking at that, closer to Lightning than he was to Ven. "...What?" he said, looking between both of them. They actually knew each other? Ven knew Lightning...or Claire?

Lightning only glanced at Riku before looking back to the younger teen, seeing that Ven was stuck in place. She stepped forward despite the fact that Riku probably wasn't comfortable with it, stopping right in front of him. Ven...Her little brother...

 

Ven felt himself smile after a few moments, his gaze on Claire's eyes. "You look like Mom," he commented softly. But she was still definitely herself. At the mention of their mother, Lightning wrapped her arms around Ven, the blond doing the same. Claire...You didn't die!

Riku's blade disappeared at that. Mom? Wait, these two were related? Riku lifted a hand to his head, trying to soothe his headache that had already formed. He never expected this.

Lightning hugged her little brother, her gaze still on him. "I searched for you," she stated softly, unable to take her eyes off him. "Ever since the day he took you."

 

Ven withdrew a little to look up at Claire, knowing what she was referring to. But..."How are you even alive?" he asked in confusion. "The fire..." He thought she died in it.

 

"I escaped out the window," Lightning revealed. "He didn't bother hunting me down." It was actually the opposite of that; she spent her life hunting him for taking away her brother. And when she heard he was killed, she started focusing her search solely on Ven. So here she was. I finally found him.

Riku kept a hand to his forehead, though he did look at the pair before him. They looked nothing alike, though he guessed it didn't matter. Some families never looked alike, though Ven proved that Lightning (or was it Claire?) looked like their mother. That was enough for Riku to know that Ven took after his father, whoever he was.

Lightning smiled softly, lifting a hand off Ven's back and ruffling his hair. She always did that when they were growing up, and she missed doing it for so long. But they were together again, finally. And nobody was going to separate them this time.

Riku let his gaze leave the pair and fall to his canine companion. Jasmine was sitting on the ground next to him, which he failed to notice until then. Her tail was wagging, which meant she didn't sense a threat. And now he realized why.

Lightning moved to release Ventus from the hug, but he didn't release her. "Hmph." She smiled faintly, one hand by her side as she set the other on his back again. He was still a softie. Well, that was good; she never wanted him to change. He was perfect the way he was.

"I'm guessing this was the sister you were talking about, huh Ven?" Riku said, crossing his arms as he looked back at the two. He let his eyes sweep over Lightning, or Claire, not sure what to think of her. Their first meeting hadn't exactly been friendly.

Ven nodded, finally releasing his big sister. "Yeah," he said, looking to Riku. "This is Claire." She was five or six years older than him when they were kids, but the time he was asleep should have thrown that off. But she looked pretty young. It was confusing.

Riku lifted an eyebrow despite the fact he already knew her name. His gaze was on her for now. She hadn't been lying when she said Ven knew her by another name. "We've met."

Lightning held Riku's gaze, able to tell that it wasn't pleasant. "You can call me Lightning," she said. She felt Ven's confused gaze on her, and so she answered his unspoken question without looking away from Riku. "A name I took on a few years ago." It was a long story.

Riku hmphed softly at that, wondering what could have been so awful to make her change her name. Well, he wasn't going to push her buttons; he'd done enough of that today already. He lowered his arms and then felt Jasmine lick at his fingertips, but he didn't remove his gaze from "Lightning".

Lightning kept her gaze on Riku, though she knew Ven was standing right beside her still. "Are you always this paranoid about strangers, or is there some kind of threat I should know about?" Obviously she wanted to know because of Ven; Riku seemed adamant about protecting him from something.

"If that's what you wanna call it," Riku replied with a small shrug, though his expression remained the same. "Even if this may look like paradise, it's far from it. Stay long enough, and you might witness it firsthand." Things were never peaceful for long, unfortunately.

"Are you going to stay?" Ven asked Lightning, ignorant of the tension between the other two. He really, really hoped so.

 

"I'm not going anywhere," Lightning promised her little brother, lightly ruffling Ven's hair. She witnessed him smile and laugh softly at the gesture, but then she looked back to Riku. I'm not leaving. Even if she could tell that he didn't like her.

Riku's eyebrows furrowed a little at the look he received from Lightning, but spoke anyway. "I'll let you two enjoy your reunion," he said, glancing over at Ventus. He then looked down at the dog beside him, taking a step over and patting his leg as he whistled. Jasmine caught on to the gesture and stood up, following Riku as he started down the beach.

"I wanna introduce you to Aqua and Terra," Ventus said eagerly, reaching out and grabbing Claire's hand as he started towards the town. "They're my best friends."

 

"And Keyblade wielders," Lightning guessed softly, though she followed along with Ven's lead. Riku said Ven was with two Keyblade wielders; that must have been Terra and Aqua.

 

"Yeah," Ven said with a nod, though he didn't know how Lightning knew that. "They're really cool. We all live together in the same house...We're like siblings." He heard Lightning only hum to that, but he didn't take it negatively.

Aqua walked around the center of town with Terra, holding his hand lightly. This kind of behavior was no longer foreign to her, and it actually left a warmth in her heart. Even if Ven was around, he didn't seem to mind. He actually seemed happy for them when he wasn't worrying over his nightmares. Thinking about him then, Aqua hoped he was alright, since he left a little while ago.

"There's so much I have to tell you..." Ven said, glancing over his shoulder at Lightning. She didn't know much about Xehanort or how he was defeated, did she? How did she even find him?

 

"I have a lot to tell you too, Ven," Lightning said softly. So much had happened, and she was a little confused about some stuff too. They'd have to talk about it later.

 

Ven hummed, too happy to hear a bit of sadness in her tone. He led her into town and saw two familiar people, though their backs were turned towards them. "Terra! Aqua!" he called.

Aqua stopped walking when she heard her name, turning a little to look over her shoulder. Behind them, Ven was approaching, and with a girl. But who was she? Regardless, Aqua smiled and lifted her free hand in a small wave.

Terra turned, looking at the person who called his name. Ven, of course, but he didn't recognize the person with him. She didn't look like somebody from the islands, that was for sure. But she was with Ven...?

 

Ven stopped by Terra and Aqua, keeping a grip on Lightning's hand even when they stopped. "Guys," he said, smiling widely. "Remember how I said I had a sister? This is her...Claire."

Aqua's eyes widened, leaving Ven to look up at the girl. She was alive?They were reunited? That was wonderful! "Nice to finally meet you," she said with a soft smile and nod. Ven had spoken of her often since his dream.

Lightning smiled faintly even if it wasn't really natural for her to smile much, nodding slightly to the two people in front of her. "I prefer to be called Lightning," she said to them. But Ven could call her whatever he pleased.

"Mm," Aqua nodded softly. "Of course." They'd only just met, and even if she had always known her as Claire because of Ven, she would do as she asked.
