Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku looked up at the bridge, hearing footsteps. "Leaving already?" he called up, though he kept his position. He was just starting to get comfortable with this heart-to-heart conversation, but he guessed they were done. His words were nothing against Ven; he had no problem with him. Lightning, on the other hand, was different. So far.

Lightning stopped on the end of the bride, Ven already on the other side of it. "Ven, you should really tell your friend it's not polite to eavesdrop," she said. "And if he's going to do it, he needs to not make so much noise splashing through the water." She knew all along that he was there, but she hadn't felt like dealing with him.
"Heh," Riku chuckled without humor. "If you knew I was here, why didn't you tell me to buzz off? Would have saved you the trouble of worrying about little old me." He smirked, though this wasn't exactly amusing. Couldn't she just call him Riku and be done with it?

"Some brats aren't worth worrying about," Lightning responded, and though she could tell Ven wasn't happy with the response, she didn't care. Riku was being a pain in the butt.
"Brat?" Riku called, looking up at the underside of the bridge, where he was sure Lightning was standing. "I don't think so. I'm not near as much of a snob." He pushed himself away from the islet and "splashed" through the water, walking out from underneath the bridge and into the sun.

"Oh, I'm sorry," Lightning said sarcastically, turning to face where Riku's voice was coming from. "I don't have the right be a snob when some nosy kid sticks his nose in my business?" Riku had no right to eavesdrop on their conversation at all, but he had. That was wrong.
Riku stopped walking and turned around, looking up at Lightning. "Oh, so you admit you're a brat now?" he asked, lifting his eyebrows. By the "snob" comment, that was what he got out of it. "Okay, works for me."

"Funny, kid," Lightning said. "But not a very original comeback." She wasn't normally this easily upset, but she was just reunited with Ven and this guy was spoiling things. It was irritating.
"Unoriginal, but effective," Riku said with a small smirk, giving Lightning a look. He could see that he was getting under her skin, which was good; it meant he could figure out who she really was.

Lightning looked back to Ven, seeing that he looked lost as to what to do. "Why don't you go home?" she said. "I'll find my way there eventually." He showed her the house earlier, so she could probably find it again.

Ven only nodded, glad to have an excuse to leave. He walked into the shack and down the stairs, coming out the other side and then starting towards the boats. Why were his friends fighting...?

Riku's look faded away as he watched Ventus walk past the area he was standing in, the boy obviously heading for the dock. No big deal. He didn't really want to bicker with Lightning in front of him anyway.

Lightning took a quicker way down, jumping off the bridge on the opposite side of Riku smoothly. She stood upright and then turned to look at him with a glare. What a stupid kid. She had to keep reminding herself that was all he was, because if she saw him as an adult, she'd physically teach him a lesson.
Riku felt an icy gaze on him, and when he turned his head to look ahead of him, he saw it was coming from Lightning. No surprise. He had a feeling they would be butting heads for a while. After all, they hadn't had the best meeting.

"Ven's too naive to stay away from irritating brats like you," Lightning stated. "He only sees the good in people. But I can see that you can only be a bad influence on him." He was encouraging bad behavior, threatening strangers, being paranoid, and now eavesdropping on private conversations.
"Bad influence, huh?" Riku lifted an eyebrow. "And how do you know that's what I am? You know nothing about me, or my past." He frowned. "The fact that you're jumping to conclusions like that only proves that you're no better than me." He wasn't perfect. In fact, he was far from it.

"I know your type," Lighting responded lowly. "I can sense your Darkness." She had sensed it from the start, and Riku proved to her that he used the power of Darkness when he used that one attack to stop her from going into town. Like she said, she wasn't as naive as Ventus.
"And I can't smell Light or Darkness coming from you," Riku countered lowly. "But at least Ven knows what's inside me. If he's as naive as you say he is, then he can't see what's inside your heart anymore than I can."

"What's in my heart isn't so important," Lighting said lowly. "Family connections are more powerful than Light or Darkness." She didn't know which side she was on; she was in the middle. But no matter what side she was on, it wouldn't change how protective she was of Ven.
"You're right about that," Riku said with a small nod, eyebrows furrowing. "But even the strongest connections can be damaged." He knew that better than anyone; his past with Sora was a perfect example.

"You think after spending my life searching for Ven, I'd turn on him?" Lightning said, eyebrows furrowing at that suggestion. "No way." Ven was the only family she had left other than Serah, and it was her duty to protect him.
Riku briefly thought back to his past, remembering how he believed he would never turn his back on his friends. But he did. "Darkness doesn't care what you think, and neither does anything associated with it," he declared.
  • Author
"This coming from the person in Darkness," Lightning retorted. Riku was being a bit hypocritical, talking like this. How could he side with somebody of the Light like Ven?
Riku closed his eyes and shook his head. "You see, that shows how little you know," he said in his own defense. He opened his eyes and found Lightning's once more. "I have control over my Darkness, and I use it to protect the things that matter. Friends and family. I'm not a being of Darkness, or one of Light," he explained. "I'm on the road to Dawn."
  • Author
"My mistake," Lightning said with an arched brow. "But you've judged me just as harshly as I've judged you." Just because he couldn't tell which side she was on didn't make her a threat. She had a right to be more concerned since he had Darkness within him. And it was strong.
"Fine," Riku said, nodding. "That makes us even." At least on this issue. There was still very little he knew about her, and that made him cautious.
