Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"...You have my respect, Riku," Lightning said after a few moments, looking to the ocean again. He conquered what was within him to serve others better. He, like her, lived to make the impossible possible. They were alike more than she realized at first.
Riku grabbed his fingers with one hand, his elbows still resting on his knees. "Thanks," he said quietly in return, not having expected such a thing from Lightning. She seemed like a person that needed a lot of proof and hard work to gain respect, and he had hers for his past? It wasn't what he thought, but he guessed it was alright.

Lightning nodded slightly, staying silent now. She couldn't believe this kid--no, this Keyblade wielder, won her over. She hated him when she first came, but now she actually wanted to get to know him. It was unusual for her to feel this interested in anybody.
Riku's frown slowly faded away as he sat there with Lightning, though he kept his eyes on Jasmine in case she decided to run off; she did that once before, and he had to chase her down. After just winning Lightning over, he hoped something like that didn't happen. But...maybe it was more than just respect.

The feelings not mutual, Lightning thought, shifting her gaze to the dog as she whistled to her. Riku didn't act too warmly towards her, but then again, at least they weren't hostile. It was an improvement, especially for Lightning, since she couldn't handle stress.
Riku saw Jasmine turn at the whistle before running over, and his gaze turned to the young woman beside him. There was silence between them, but he didn't find it uncomfortable, which was odd. Riku wasn't the kind of person to get tense during these kinds of situations, but Lightning was different than any other girls he'd met, and in a lot of ways.

Lightning took her arm off her knee and petted Jasmine with her hand. She liked the dog for some reason, and Jazzy wasn't hostile towards her like she had been on the first day. A lot had changed since she first arrived in this world.
Riku glanced down at Jazzy and smirked a little. "You an animal person?" he asked, seeing how his pet took a liking to Lightning pretty quickly. He remembered her barking and growling at the girl the first day.

"As long as it's not trying to kill me, sure," Lightning replied, smiling faintly. On Cocoon and Gran Pulse, she ran into a lot of animals, including dinosaurs. That had been scary, but they survived.
Riku "hmphed" at that, his smirk still on his face. "Jazz is harmless," he replied, glancing up at Lightning before finding his pet again. Well, she was tough when the time called for it, which wasn't often.

"That's surprising," Lightning responded honestly. "I figured if you had a dog, it would be a ferocious one." But Jazzy was harmless, like Riku said. Again, this dog proved he was a softy. Or at least softer than he appeared.
Riku arched an eyebrow at that, his eyes going to Lightning and staying there this time. "Meaning?" he prodded. Did that mean he had a cold exterior? Yeah, he knew he was the quiet, "mysterious" type like Kairi had told him before, but he didn't think he was...vicious.

"It means you're different than I first perceived you to be," Lightning said, stroking Jasmine's head and gazing at the dog. This was as close as Riku would get to hearing an "I told you so", since he was right for criticizing her for judging him. He really wasn't a "type" like she first thought.
"I'll take that as a compliment," Riku replied lowering his eyebrow and looking down at his knees. With Lightning, he guessed that was as close to one as he would get for now, and probably the future.

Lightning hummed, still focusing on Jasmine. You should, she wanted to say, but that was a thought too surprising to say aloud. Riku probably didn't care what she had to say; her presence was nothing extraordinary to him. And his wasn't extraordinary to her. Or was it?
Riku lifted his eyes to the ocean after a few minutes of silence, not breaking it. He wasn't sure what to say now, and he guessed that was okay. Lightning was busy with Jasmine anyway, and he supposed she was soft too. At first glance, she doesn't look like one to be kind, at the very least to animals. But Riku was wrong.

Lightning was lowered to both knees now, and Jazzy took advantage of that. The dog put its front paws in her lap and then leaned forward, sniffing Lightning's upper chest where the brand was. Lightning realized right away what the dog was doing, but she didn't know how to react to it.
Riku glanced out of the corner of his eye to see what was going on between his companion and Lightning, but he figured Jasmine was just checking her out. She wasn't accustomed to Lightning's scent, either her one as a human or l'Cie.

Lightning felt surprisingly sad when Jasmine whimpered and then nuzzled her face against her, the dog somehow sensing what doom this curse brought upon her. Her lips parted a little in sorrow as she gazed at the dog, not used to feeling so...vulnerable.
Riku turned his head a little at the sound, his eyebrows furrowing when he saw what Jasmine was doing. "Jazz..." he said lowly, his voice holding a tone of warning. He didn't know what was throwing her into this whining fit, but it wasn't time for one of those.

"She's...alright," Lightning said softly, setting one of her hands on Jazzy's back and stroking her fur. The dog was sad...but how could she understand what Lightning's fate was? It was such a complicated matter, but the dog must have been able to sense something bad in her brand.
Riku glanced at Lightning, though his eyes remained on her for more than a few seconds. What was that tone? Did he sense...sorrow? Was that even possible for Lightning? She always seemed so unbreakable, he didn't think it was possible.

Lightning felt Riku's gaze on her, but she looked down at Jasmine, just petting her fur. She had been thinking a lot lately, and she didn't know how to escape this brand. She didn't know how to defy it this time and save herself. She was going to die.
Riku lowered his gaze to Jasmine then, though he did speak to Lightning. "Have any visions yet?" he asked. He'd been wanting to know, ever since they had that talk two weeks ago. He just never got the chance to ask.
  • Author
"None," Lightning said, still stroking Jazzy's back. She didn't think that dreams counted, and none of them were prophetic anyway. Her vision had to come to her when she was already conscious; that was how it worked.
