Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"...Mm," Riku hummed, looking out at the ocean then. That was unfortunate. But nothing would happen to Lightning until she got her focus, right? Then she wasn't in danger? He wasn't really sure how this thing worked...

"If my time's almost up and I know I can't complete my focus, I'll leave," Lightning said, having already thought of this. "A Cie'th is the last thing you want here." They were tough beasts; she fought a lot a while ago.
"What about Ven?" Riku asked, that being all he could think to say at that moment. A part of him felt...bad at the thought of Lightning leaving. But he wasn't sure why. Of course, it would be much worse for Ven if Lightning left.

"You'll have to tell him after I leave," Lightning said. "If I tell him, he'll follow me and get hurt." She would hurt him. She couldn't handle doing that, ever.
Riku frowned, his eyebrows coming together at the words. "I don't think it would be my place," he admitted lowly. He couldn't tell the kid that. It'd break his heart.

"I know it won't be a pleasant task," Lightning confessed, leaving Jasmine alone for the time being. "But it's something I can't do. I know Ven; he won't accept no for an answer. He'll follow me to Hell."
Riku wasn't sure how to respond to that, so he didn't say anything. Not yet at least. He guessed he could understand. He didn't want Sora and Kairi seeing him the way he was as Xehanort's Heartless. Lightning was the same, except as a Cie'th.

I'll go to Gran Pulse, Lightning thought. There were still Cie'th there, and only animals for the most part. She wouldn't be able to hurt anyone. She'd be a mindless beast, but at least deep down, she'd know that she protected her friends until she couldn't do it anymore.
"If that's what you want," Riku finally said, though he kept his gaze forward. This was the only thing Lightning had asked of him, so he knew he shouldn't have had a problem doing it. And given this was Lightning asking for help, he knew he had to do it. He couldn't really say no.

"It's not what I want," Lightning said, eyebrows furrowing slightly. "It's what needs to be done." It was the only way to settle this, or at least that was what she thought. She needed to figure out her focus and then find some way to get out of her crystal stasis to try and live normally again. That was her only other choice.
"Unless you figure out your focus in time," Riku countered without looking over at her. Lightning sounded like she'd already given up hope, and he wasn't really alright with that. Ven needed her.

"I know that," Lightning replied calmly. "And as soon as I get any hint on what that is, I'll do everything I can to fulfill my focus. But until then, we need to prepare for the worst." It was all they could do.
"Right," Riku replied lowly, nodding once. He didn't like to picture the worst, not even able to imagine what the Cie'th look like. But Lightning knew, and he could tell that she didn't like the idea of becoming one herself. That meant it was probably bad.

I live to make the impossible possible, Lightning always used to say. That is my focus. She wanted to make that her focus yet again, but she didn't know how. Nobody knew much of anything about this type of thing, so she had to figure it out on her own.
Riku closed his eyes for a moment. "If you need help, just ask," he said after a minute. "I know what it's like to feel alone." Back when he thought Sora betrayed him, that was all he felt. Because of that, he fell to Darkness. He didn't want the same fate for Lightning, even with a Cie'th.

"Thanks," Lightning said, not knowing what else to say. But she was sure Riku was just helping out of guilt; he was in on her terrible secret and he pitied her. That had to be it.
"Don't sweat it," Riku replied naturally, opening his eyes to look at the sand beneath him. It really wasn't a problem. It sounded like Lightning was on a tough road, so he was willing to help if no one else would. But then again, no one else knew of the problem. He was the only one.

"You shouldn't feel obligated to help," Lightning said, gazing at the dog who laid down in front of her. "You shouldn't have been dragged into this in the first place." It was her burden to bear.
"No obligation," Riku answered then. "And you didn't drag me in. It was just a twist of fate." He shrugged a little, the wind blowing his silver bangs into his eyes. "I accept it."
  • Author
"Alright then," Lightning said with a faint nod. There wasn't really anything she could say to argue against that; Riku was set in his decision. He was more mature than she would have guessed.
Riku nodded slightly, but then thought of something else. "If you're not sure about things, you shouldn't be wasting precious time with me," he said, turning his head to look at Lightning. "Be with your brother."

Lightning hummed, rising to her feet. She didn't know if it was really a "waste" spending time with Riku; she actually enjoyed his company. It took away stress now instead of giving it to her. But she needed to be with Ven, so that was what she would do.
Riku snapped his fingers at Jasmine when Lightning rose to her feet, and the dog crawled over to him before sitting in front of him. He lifted his hands to her, then looking up at Lightning.
  • Author
"See you around," Lightning said, nodding slightly to Riku. She'd come to him as soon as she got an idea of what her focus was, or if she knew her time was up. He was the only person here who knew, and the only person other than Ven she trusted with his knowledge.
"Later," Riku said with a faint wave, his eyes still on Lightning for the moment. He really didn't mind spending time with her, just talking. But he wasn't the one she needed to be with if her time was limited. That was Ven.
