Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning looked away from Riku after a second and started walking, having memorized where Ven's house was. He had been wanting to spar with her for a while, so maybe today they would do that. She would do anything for him.
Riku watched Lightning go before he focused back on Jasmine. He continued petting her head and fur, though he wasn't sure what he wanted to do now. He'd thought a lot about things, and talked to Lightning to help settle some of those thoughts. But now he had more questions. Was it a neverending cycle?

Lightning suddenly stopped walking when she was a few yards away from Riku, a soft breath sounding as a gasp. That was it. That was her focus...But it wasn't something she could fulfill. It was unethical, and murder. Destroy Cocoon...It's the same focus. That's why I didn't get a vision.
Riku furrowed his eyebrows slightly at the sound, his trained ears picking up on it. But, what was wrong? He looked away from Jasmine, glancing over at Lightning briefly while she was still on the beach, seeing that she was still.

Lightning lifted a hand to her chest, curling it into a fist. "I know my focus," she said, though she didn't sound joyful about it at all. That was because she wasn't gong to fulfill it. She wouldn't destroy her home world to save her own skin.
Upon hearing that, Riku released Jasmine and pushed himself up. "What is it?" he asked, rising to his feet and straightening. He turned a little to face Lightning, his lips a firm line in seriousness.

"Destroy my home world," Lightning said without turning around. It had been a focus she and her friends shared before, but there had been some...complications. She wouldn't bother explaining them all to Riku, since it didn't really matter. "Cocoon."
Riku grunted slightly in surprise. That was a little...harsh. How could Lightning destroy her home to live? But that was the thing, wasn't it? She wouldn't.

"I didn't have a vision because it's the same focus I had before," Lightning said at Riku's grunt. "My friends lost their brands after everything, but I still had mine. I still have the curse because the Fal'cie knew I would be strong enough to do it right this time around..." She made a sound of disgust, her facial expression also reflecting that feeling. The Fal'cie were wicked, that was for sure.
"But you wouldn't do as it says, would you?" Riku said in a knowing tone. "You would never put your family and friends at stake." That was something they had in common, wasn't it?

"Of course not," Lightning said, surprised Riku even had to ask. "I'm not going to destroy my home to save my own skin." That was selfish and sick. She wasn't a villain; she was a good guy. Snow was the one who always called himself the "hero", though.
"So you're not gonna do it," Riku assumed, taking a few small steps forward. "You're gonna become a Cie'th, just like that." He didn't think it was right, to just give up. But what else could she do?

"No," Lightning said, faintly shaking her head and lowering her hand from her chest. "I'm going to defy my focus, like I did last time. And hope for a miracle." She needed one.
Riku put a fist to his hip, tilting his head a little. "Gonna need help?" he asked, eyebrows still furrowed. He was the only one who knew. He would help if she needed the assistance. As a friend, it was right.

"I think I'll go to Cocoon to see if there's still a Fal'cie there that can take away the curse," Lightning said, turning around to face Riku. "I'll need somebody to cover for me." And Riku was the only person who could do that.
"Right," Riku replied lowly, nodding once. That would be him. Since that was the case, Lightning just needed to tell him what to do.

Lightning stepped forward so she was right in front of Riku, her eyes staying on his in seriousness. "I might not come back," she said. She would only come back if she lost her brand, and right now, it didn't look like that would happen.
"And if you don't?" Riku asked quietly, his eyes staying on the pale blue ones that belonged to Lightning. He could only guess that he would have to tell Ven the truth, even if it hurt.

"You'll know if I'm not back in a week," Lightning said, feeling bad that this teen had to have this burden. "That's all the time I have before I turn into a Cie'th. ...You know what you have to do." He'd have to tell Ven the truth.
Riku nodded once, though his lips were in a firm line at the fate Lightning had to fall under. "Alright," he replied then. He would do as she asked.

Lightning grunted when she felt a burning pain in her chest, and again she lifted a fist to it. She lowered her head at the pain, though she didn't understand why this was happening now. She wasn't that emotional; she didn't accept the fate set before her, and she would fight against it. Fighting was what she was good at.
Riku reacted without thinking about it, his hand leaving his hip and coming up to rest on Lightning's shoulder. "Hang in there," he encouraged quietly, his eyes going to her fist over her chest before finding her face once more. It was obvious that she was strong, and a fighter. She would be okay.

Lightning heard Riku's words, but she didn't have time to get emotional at them. She lifted her free hand and set it on Riku's shoulder so she wouldn't sink down to one knee like she had previously done in front of him, her hand gripping his shoulder.
Riku lifted his other hand to Lightning's side when he felt her grip against his shoulder. He didn't think much of the action yet, focusing on keeping her on her feet. Even the strongest needed a helping hand, he guessed.

Lightning felt some of the pain fade away, but weakness replaced it. She and Riku were already really close, so she leaned he forehead on Riku's shoulder and leaned into him a little because she had no other choice. "I'm running out of time," she said, her voice strained because of pain and weakness.
