Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Ven watched Lightning disappear into the cave, and though he knew he wanted to follow her, he restrained himself. Riku would definitely kill him if he did something like that. The only thing he could do was wait for Lightning to finish the battle.
Once Lightning was out of his sight, Riku turned his head, looking around the area. He didn't see any Cie'th, but time would only tell if they showed up. Or whether Lightning got out of this alive.

Lightning fought the Fal'Cie inside the cave, telling him that she defied the fate she was given and was fighting for another reason. And she hoped that if this Fal'Cie was defeated, her brand would go away. She swung at the god with all her might, dealing the final blow. The monster howled in pain, and the wind created from its mighty mouth sent her flying backwards against a stone wall. She winced but looked up, seeing that her task was finished.
Riku paced the length of a few yards parallel to the entrance to the cave, his eyes set on the ground. His Keyblade was still in his hand as he waited for either the Cie'th to show up or Lightning to come out of the cave. So far neither had happened.

Lightning noticed something come off the creature, particles also hanging in the air. When one landed on her and stuck to her, she realized what it was. She was...crystallizing. Like she had before. She rose to her feet and lifted her arms, trying to avoid the particles. But it was too late. She was turning to crystal. She lowered her hand with her sword to her side and set the other on her chest regretfully, eyes shutting in sorrow as she completely turned to crystal.

"What was that?" Ven asked, having heard the crystal noises in the cave. He nervously gazed at the cave, wanting nothing more to charge in. It seemed like the fight was over...

Riku happened to stop walking upon hearing the same noises as Ven, his eyes on the cave. "Beats me," he said with honesty. He really had no idea, but it didn't sound like battle.

Ven started towards the cave, hearing the noise fade into silence. Everything was alright in there, so Lightning should have come out right about...now. But she didn't come out. Nobody did.
Riku's eyes narrowed in curiosity and caution as Ven started toward the cave, the older boy just behind him. He was wondering what was going on, since all that was around them was silence now. It didn't make any sense.

Ven kept his Keyblade in his grasp, entering the cave first cautiously. There was a winding tunnel at first, but when he got deeper into the cave, he noticed some light pouring out of a sky roof in a larger "room". He went there, though he froze when he saw his sister. Claire...is...
Riku's eyes roamed the cave as he followed Ven in, and he nearly ran into him when the kid stopped without warning. The older boy glanced down at him before following his line of sight, and the view before him caused his eyes to widen. "She's..." he said, his voice trailing off. Lightning was crystal.

Ven stood where he was, frozen but not as frozen as Lightning was. She turned to crystal. Wasn't that supposed to only happen once she completed her focus? Did that mean she did it?
Riku summoned his blade away, walking a few steps toward Lightning. "She must have done it," he said softly, his voice echoing slightly in the cave. "She fulfilled her focus." That was defeating the Fal'cie.

Riku's words echoed in Ven's ears for more reasons than one, everything seeming unreal to him. He just was reconnected with his sister a few weeks ago! And now she was gone again? This wasn't fair...
Riku stopped in front of Lightning and gazed at her crystallized figure for a moment. He lifted his hand to touch her shoulder, feeling the cold texture of the crystal. He pulled his hand back and looked to Lightning's face, able to read it even if she was frozen in time. She looks...sad.

Ven looked down towards the ground, not wanting to see Lightning like that. She wasn't a monster, which was good, but she was now crystal. Eternal life...away from him.
"Ven..." Riku said, turning around and looking at the boy. "There's no way for us to move her. I would say we could take her back to the Islands, but we would need help." He knew Ven wouldn't want to leave Lightning here, and he didn't want to either. It didn't seem right.

"She wouldn't want us to go through that kind of trouble," Ventus said softly, still looking down at the ground. "She'd want me to leave her here so I don't have a constant reminder of what's lost." He knew her well enough to make that judgment pretty easily.
Riku kept his eyes on Ventus for a moment, taking in his posture and expression before looking back to the crystallized girl in front of him. "Right," he said. Ven knew Lightning better than Riku did, that was for sure. He had to trust his judgement.

Ven kept his gaze down, though his hands were both in fists now that his Keyblade was gone. That wasn't the only thing gone; so was his sister. He just found her only to lose her...This was terrible.
Riku sincerely hoped Lightning didn't sleep long. Ven needed her; the tension in the air told him that much. But this was unpredictable.

Ven finally stepped forward, hesitantly gazing at Lightning's face. When he spotted sadness, he looked down, setting a hand on her smooth, crystallized arm. He felt sorrow at this, feeling like she was dead. That was what the cold skin told him.
"...She'll wake up soon," Riku said, trying to boost Ven's low spirits. He turned his head to look down at the shorter boy, seeing the way he held himself. Ven was usually optimistic, but it seemed family tragedies changed that.
  • Author
"Yeah, sure," Ven said softly, though he didn't believe Riku. The last time this happened, she was asleep for ten years. What was going to change that this time around?
Riku could hear the doubt behind Ven's tone, and he wordlessly lifted a hand to his friend's shoulder. It was supposed to be a comforting gesture, the boy not sure what to say to make Ven feel better. Lightning was just turned to crystal, and she could sleep for years. It wasn't the best situation.

Ven looked at his hand on Lightning's arm for a few moments, though he knew Riku was probably waiting for him to say or do something. "Let's just go home," he said softly. Staying here was depressing.
