Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku nodded. "That'll be where Lightning looks first," he said, patting Ven's shoulder as he looked at the girl frozen before him. All they could do was wait, unless there was something else that could be done to speed up the waking process.

Ven nodded slightly, though he was still sad. He released his sisters arm and turned around, wordlessly starting towards the exit. He just wanted to get away from this place; to him, it wasn't like his sister lingered here. He felt as if she was dead to this world.
Riku noticed Ven start walking out of the corner of his eye, but he kept his focus on Lightning. I'll take care of him, he thought silently, gazing at her face. Until you're awake again. He let his eyes linger on Lightning for another second before he turned, starting out.

Ventus heard Riku's footsteps behind him, though he didn't focus on them. He felt dazed, as if this was a nightmare and not reality. But he knew that this was truly happening, and that made him want to cry. However, he'd wait until his mask was on for some privacy.
Riku walked out of the cave behind Ven and he summoned his armor wordlessly, getting ready to head home. They had nothing more to do on this world. Their business was done, and so was Lightning's.

A few months later

Pete entered the run-down castle in Hollow Bastion, this being the place where he and Maleficent currently resided. It would only be temporary, though, since this new scheme of hers would help them get a real headquarters. He chuckled softly at that, a crystal figure on a cart as he pushed it further into the castle.

Riku lurked through the castle, trying to find Maleficent in the large headquarters. Master Yen Sid had contacted everyone on the island to let them know he believed that Maleficent was up to no good. Considering his past with her, Riku automatically volunteered for the job, which was why he was here in Hollow Bastion now. He had been here for a few days and managed to keep himself hidden. Riku thought he heard a chuckle and he saw a break in the hall up ahead. Spotting the shadow on the floor, he hurried quietly to the armor statue on one side of the corridor, hiding behind it.

"Maleficent!" Pete called, wheeling the cart ahead through the dimly lit area. "Maleficent!" He wondered where she was; she should have been in this area. He had the girl that he requested, and getting her here had been a piece of cake except for how much she weighed.

Riku peeked around the armored statue to see none other than Pete, pushing a cart in front of him. It was the sight of what--or who--was in the cart that caught his attention, though. "Lightning," he whispered to himself, eyes wide. He fought the urge to run over to her crystallized form, especially because of the witch's appearance in a puff of smoke.

Maleficent held her staff in one hand, her hand on the small green orb as she gazed at the dog who was pushing the crystallized human toward her position near the large double-doors. "Ah, so you've found her," she said, pleasure in her voice. She was delighted, indeed.

"Yup, she was right where you thought she would be," Pete said, stopping the cart a few feet away from Maleficent. He moved to get her off the cart, his larger size helping him a little bit. "You could have warned me about the dinosaurs, though," he said with a grunt, tugging at the crystal girl. He nearly tipped the cart in the process though, but he didn't, keeping Lightning from crashing to the ground and breaking.

"I thought someone of your standards could handle such things," Maleficent said, her eyes glancing to Pete before going to Lightning. "No matter," she continued, waving a hand to dismiss the subject as she started to approach the crystal. "We have quite an interesting discovery on our hands. How such a strong creature could be overcome by something as fragile as crystal is fascinating. Quite peculiar."

Riku ground his teeth together in disgust, hating how Maleficent found joy in seeing someone frozen in time, someone who had tried their hardest to fight such a thing. Like it mattered to her, anyway; she was too greedy to have sympathy for others.

Pete sat up Lightning so she could stand, relieved once he let go and the weight of the crystal was off him. "What good is she gonna do us like this?" he asked Maleficent. "And is she really that strong if she couldn't fight against becoming a crystal?" Maleficent said she was powerful, but...he wasn't sure.

"Given her posture, she was not fighting the transformation," Maleficent concluded, her evil eyes on the girl within the structure. "In fact, she looks disappointed. Regardless, she must have known of her fate."

She did, and she tried avoiding it, Riku thought bitterly, tightening his grip on Way to Dawn as he saw Maleficent peer more closely at Lightning. He knew that if Lightning was aware of this, she wouldn't have been so okay with the witch being so close.

"Her fate is to be frozen in crystal forever?" Pete asked, looking at Lightning as well. "Pitiful." She really must not have been strong in spirit if she didn't fight a fate like this.

Maleficent chuckled darkly, a smirk of the same fashion appearing on her face. "While she is with me, this will not be her permanent fate," she said, tightening her grip on her staff. "Get back." The girl would become her servant in this large castle, whether she approved or not.

Pete wisely did as Maleficent said, taking a few steps back. He brought the cart with him, not that it made that big of a difference. What was Maleficent going to do to change this girl's fate?

Maleficent lifted both of her hands into the air, still holding onto her staff as she closed her eyes. "This poor soul will not be a slave to the crystal prison fate has thrusted upon her. No...she shall be mine to control!" she cried, her voice echoing as her powers appeared, swirls of green and black smoke circling around the air above her and Lightning's positions.

Riku gasped slightly, though a strike of lightning drowned it out. Maleficent! he thought with rage. She couldn't do this!

Pete's eyes were wide at the scene before him, and he was glad that he backed away. What in the world was Maleficent doing, besides creating an indoor storm? He stood by the wall, watching the scene in silence.

Maleficent's evil laughter could be heard as the smoke that had been floating above sank and circled Lightning's crystallized figure. Riku could only watch in silence, wondering what exactly Maleficent was doing. She couldn't be...setting Lightning free, could she?

Lightning felt herself being pulled away from the world where she lived another life, the Darkness the first thing that she sensed. She felt frozen for a few seconds at first, realizing that she was still a crystal. But then...everything changed. The crystal dissipated into the air and she was free to move, her hand moving away from her chest as she kept her sword in the other hand. She gasped for the first breath of air, free again.
Maleficent lowered her arms, her evil laughter still echoing off the walls even though she herself wasn't doing so any longer. Her eyes fell on the girl before her, now alive and about. "Hello, child," she greeted with a dark smile, her hands both falling upon the top of her staff as it stood on the stone floor.

Lightning calmly stayed where she was, though she was confused. She glanced over to the side and saw a large dog, the creature looking afraid and pressing his back against the wall. She looked back at the woman in front of her, not bothering to say anything. I'm alive, but...why?

"Welcome to my castle," Maleficent said, her voice still just as sly and evil as it had always been. "It is I that have brought you back from your crystal stasis. Maleficent."

Riku wanted nothing more than to run to Lightning and get her as far away from Maleficent as possible, but he couldn't reveal himself yet. He had to stay hidden until the opportune moment.

"Maleficent," Lightning repeated, aware of the Darkness hanging in the air and the sorcery she sensed. "What purpose do you have with reviving me?" What did somebody so Dark want with her?
A smirk appeared on Maleficent's face, and she began to explain. "You are in debt to me, young lady," the witch said, authority and confidence present in her voice. "And for that, you shall be of service to me."
