Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"Hmph," Lightning said, seeing that was how things were. "I had a feeling you didn't awaken me out of the kindness of your heart. If there's any there, since your heart is black with Darkness." She could tell how evil Maleficent was, and there was no way she would ever be a servant to her.
Maleficent only chuckled. "You're far too kind, child," she said, lifting an eyebrow slightly as she continued to smirk at the girl before her. "But you see, I'm not as gracious. My intentions shall be very clear if you continue to refuse."

"Whatever you intend to use me for, I'm not interested," Lightning said, turning and starting to walk away. "I'm nobody's servant." She wouldn't even serve the Fal'Cie at the risk of turning into a Cie'th. She wouldn't change her ways for this witch.
Maleficent frowned, but continued with her persuasion. "Stubborn girl," she commented lowly. "You will be so foolish as to walk away from me when you have no clue of my abilities? Well, then you leave me no choice." The woman lifted her staff an inch off the floor before stabbing it toward the ground once more, summoning Darkness to attack Lightning and cause her the worst pain.

Lightning froze in her steps, grunting when she suddenly felt as if her chest was on fire. She lifted her free hand to her chest and tensely stood against the pain for a few moments before she fell down to one knee, whimpering slightly in pain. She knew this feeling...My brand?

Riku fought the urge once more to step out and go to Lightning, curling his free hand into a fist. Maleficent... What was she doing?

"Curse the Fal'cie that made you the victim of its magic," Maleficent said, a sly smile on her face. "But you shall never defy me!" She would not let some soldier refuse her so outright. She would not be humiliated.

  • Author
"What sorcery is this?!" Lightning asked through her pain, turning her head to look at the witch and her lackey. She couldn't be triggering her brand; it was supposed to be gone! She felt it fade away when she defeated the Fal'cie!
"Darkness, of course," Maleficent replied wickedly. "It can do many things, even erase that annoying brand of yours. A price will have to be paid, of course. I never do such powerful magic for free." Of course, she wouldn't remove the brand. It would be her way of "persuasion" for Lightning's stubborn attitude.
  • Author
"My brand is already gone," Lightning said with a grunt. "You're trying to deceive me." She gripped her sword more tightly by her side, squeezing her eyes shut at the pain. It was a lie...she just had to see through it enough to end this pain.

Maleficent glared at Lightning as she remained in her spot, gripping her staff more tightly. "Perhaps, but would you dare to defy me at the risk of a Keyblade warrior's precious life?" she said then, an ugly, devious smile threatening to appear on her face once more.

Riku stiffened, his grasp on Way to Dawn loosening. Maleficent couldn't be talking about him, could she? He was well out of sight; she couldn't sense him...

  • Author
"What're you talking about?" Lightning asked, some of the pain fading away as she gained something else to focus on. Keyblade warriors? "What does my defiance have to do with them?"
Maleficent's smile finally made itself present, spreading across her lips. "They are all pests," she said with distaste, regardless of her expression. "And if you continue to refuse, you shall see just who I've chosen to suffer the consequences."
  • Author
Lightning pushed herself up and turned to face Maleficent, getting a bad feeling in her gut. "They're strong enough to take care of themselves," she said confidently. "You have too much confidence in your powers, witch."
"And your ignorance does you just as much good as does my self-confidence," Maleficent replied smoothly, lifting her staff into the air a little. "Behold." She summoned an orb that often allowed her to see other worlds from her location in this castle, and right now, her focus was on a specific boy on Destiny Islands.
  • Author
Lightning's eyes widened slightly at the orb, not knowing what it was. But she saw what it was after a few moments; it showed a certain somebody in its green swirls. She took a few steps forward but stopped a few feet away, able to see the picture clearly now. "Ven," she said, paling.

Riku felt his breath get caught in his throat at the name spoken, not able to clearly see the picture on the orb. But now he didn't have to, already knowing what Maleficent was up to. She was going to use Ventus as bait.

Maleficent approached her orb and looked down at the boy present in it. "Yes, Ventus," she confirmed. "Quite a light-hearted boy, though that amount of purity only leaves him vulnerable to the Darkness. His sister's apparent 'death' did more than even the Darkness could, I'm afraid."

  • Author
"Leave him out of this!" Lightning cried, stepping forward and wiping through the orb with her hand. The image faded, but not before she saw the vulnerability Ven expressed. No...

"Such a thing can only be done if you agree to serve me," Maleficent replied coolly, her Darkness causing her to be unafraid of Lightning's motions. "In order to save your precious brother, shall you oblige?"

That witch, Riku thought with distaste, meaning the name in more than one way. Manipulation was Maleficent's favorite tool, wasn't it? Lightning couldn't possibly be fooled by this.

  • Author
Lightning grunted, looking down at her blade. She didn't have immediate access to Ven, did she? The others were on the island, protecting him...But as long as Maleficent was around, there was a threat. The only way for me to end this is to kill her here and now.
"Do we have an understanding?" Maleficent repeated, her voice stronger than before. All it took was a summoning and Ventus would be hers. Surely Lightning wouldn't be foolish enough to stand against such Darkness.
  • Author
...I need to see her weaknesses before I attack her, Lightning thought, keeping her gaze on her weapon. Attacking now would be foolish, especially since the witch somehow knew how to hurt her at a moment's notice. The same could go for Ven. "I understand," she said coldly, eyebrows furrowing. She'd play Maleficent's game...for now.
Riku furrowed his eyebrows, staring at Lightning from his hiding spot in disbelief. She can't be serious! he thought in outrage. He saw Maleficent smile in delight, but he knew the look in those evil eyes of hers. She would kill Lightning once she was through with her, use her like a tool, just like she had done to him. Riku wasn't about to let Lightning deal with the same torment.
  • Author
"What do you want me to do?" Lightning asked, lifting her gaze to see Maleficent's evil smile. She hated it, but she knew that she would end Maleficent's life soon. She just needed to wait till the opportune moment.
"I'll tell you what I want to hear," Riku announced from his spot in the shadows. He heard Maleficent gasp slightly at the sudden voice, her eyes in his direction. "Let her go, Maleficent," he finished, coming into the light, Keyblade in hand.
  • Author
Lightning's glare faded into a look of surprise, her gaze going to the person that spoke. Riku was here? She hadn't expected to see him, especially not like this. He almost looked like he was the same age as when she became a crystal. She really wasn't gone that long, was she? But she couldn't focus on that, curious about what Riku meant about letting her go. Ven was the one in trouble.
