Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Kairi turned her head, her eyes falling on the boy she loved. Then she saw his outstretched hand, slowly lifting her own to slip into it. She then set her other hand on the ground, bringing her feet back up to the ledge and starting to get up.

Sora helped Kairi rise to her feet before he shifted his attention to his three other friends. "Catch up with you guys later," he said with a nod. He didn't know how long he and Kairi would be, but he knew that he wanted to spend as much time with her as he could before he had to go.

Roxas nodded once in acknowledgement, having been silent ever since Kairi even spoke. Glancing over at her now, he could see that she really didn't look like she was feeling her best, and the letter in his hand was the reason why.

Kairi briefly looked up at her friends, but when she caught Roxas's gaze, she lowered hers back to the ground. She kept her light grasp on Sora's hand, wondering what exactly this walk would have in store for them.

Sora saw Roxas nod, also catching Namine perform the same light gesture out of the corner of his eye. He started forward, his hand still grasping Kairi's as he brought her along with him. They would stay on the Island, but they would go to the other side for some privacy. There wasn't much room for walking, but that didn't really matter. He just needed to sit aside with her and make sure that she was okay.
Kairi wasn't sure what to expect, but she was a little nervous. She kept her eyes on the ground as she followed Sora, his hand guiding her as it held hers. They would talk about the letter, wouldn't they? She didn't really want to; she just wanted this all to go away. She just wanted the person she loved most to be by her side for a long time. Not leave her.

A few minutes later, Sora and Kairi were on the other side of the Island, already past the broken bridge and by the tower. Sora kept his grasp on Kairi's hand when he jumped the small gap, not caring that his feet landed in the water. He turned and offered his other hand to Kairi as well, his eyes finding hers.
Kairi glanced at Sora's hand before looking at his face. Upon meeting his eyes, she let her gaze fall on his other hand again. She took it wordlessly, slipping hers into his as she prepared to hop down from the small ledge.

Sora took a small step back, giving Kairi more room to jump. He knew that she couldn't completely jump over the water; Sora couldn't even do that most of the time. But he had other concerns that were much more important than that, one of them being how Kairi avoided his gaze just now.
Kairi lightly hopped down from the ledge she was on, landing safely on her feet. The only thing that happened was there was a small splash of ocean water from the landing, but that wasn't something she was really worried about. It was just water; it would dry off, go away. This problem, though, wouldn't be as easy.

Sora kept his eyes on Kairi, ignoring the small splash that got his feet and legs wetter. After a moment, he turned, releasing one of Kairi's hands and starting towards the beach. He would stop there; then he would try to figure out what Kairi was thinking.
Kairi wordlessly followed Sora, just like she had been doing since they left their friends. She hadn't said anything because she wasn't sure what she could say. Saying that they were getting torn apart again was a pretty good summary of what she was feeling on the inside.

Sora stopped in the middle of the beach, the water coming in a few inches away from their feet. He faced in that direction, his hand holding Kairi's. He knew he had to say something; he was the one who suggested they went for a walk in the first place. But what could he say to make things better?
Kairi kept her gaze lowered to the ground, simply watching the water a little bit away. That was all she could hear too. However, she could feel Sora's hand in hers, providing her with a small sense of comfort after all she was feeling within herself.

Maybe, there wasn't anything he could say at all to make things better. It was an awful situation, and words couldn't do a thing. With that in mind, Sora released Kairi's hand and wrapped his arm around her shoulders instead, his eyes on the girl he loved.
Kairi closed her eyes at the warmth of Sora's arm over her shoulders, and she didn't have to think twice about her next move. The girl turned in toward him instantly, burying her face in his shoulder as she lifted her hands to grip his jacket. There was nothing else she could think to do but this...to hug him while she still had time.

Sora faced Kairi completely, his arm going from her shoulders to her back when she buried her face in his shoulder. He couldn't help but look down at her sadly, the teen feeling the same emotions as she was. He was being forced to leave her, and that didn't sit well with him.
Kairi kept her face buried in the fabric of Sora's clothing, though she forced herself not to cry. She wouldn't show that sign of weakness now. If anything, she would do it after Sora was already gone. Then he wouldn't feel as bad about leaving, since she could tell he already did now. Kairi had to make this somehow easier, even if that would prove difficult.

Sora lifted a hand, running it over Kairi's hair. He couldn't help but keep his gaze on her, knowing how sad she was and knowing how she wanted to cry. "It's alright," he told her softly. If she needed to get out her emotion, then she could cry. He wouldn't hold it against her; he was upset over this too.
Kairi didn't shake her head in disagreement, not wanting to disrupt the movement Sora's hand was making against her hair. So instead, she spoke, but internally. "No it's not," her heart spoke, even more expressing her emotions. Things weren't alright. Sora was leaving again! That would never be okay.

Sora could tell by Kairi's silent tone of voice that she was referring to the situation in general, and so he allowed the direction to stay on that course. "You know I'll always come back," he said softly. He couldn't stay away from her...Ever. Especially not since they shared the Papou fruit.
Kairi didn't reply, simply thinking about how much Sora's promise a long time ago meant to her. He promised he'd come back to her when they were being separated the first time, and he followed through with it. But still...that didn't mean she couldn't be sad. Or scared.

Sora's hand moved away from Kairi's hair, both his arms wrapping around her when he squeezed her lightly. "Tell me you believe me," he said softly. He needed her to say it aloud, because...her faith meant everything to him. She was his reason to fight, after all.
Kairi heard the sincerity and desperation in Sora's voice, which made her a little more sad. But, she couldn't tell him she didn't, because she did. "I believe you," her heart spoke for her, and it never lied. Surely he knew that.
  • Author
Sora shut his eyes, satisfied with the response he heard in his heart. "Kai..." he said with a soft sigh, though he didn't know why he spoke her name. He...was leaving her. He was so sad over that, but he was putting Kairi before himself now; that was how it was meant to be.
Kairi turned her head away from Sora's shoulder, instead pressing her forehead against Sora's neck. Her cheek now rested against his shoulder, but she didn't open her eyes. This was a horrible situation... Would it keep happening, though? Or would it eventually end?
