A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

"You trust him?" Riku asked after a second, snapping out of his thoughts at Lightning's words. She seemed hardheaded. It must have taken a lot to prove that someone was worthy to look after her family.

"Yeah, I do," Lightning said with a faint nod, keeping her gaze on the ocean. "He'd protect her or die trying. And he's too stubborn to die." She smiled faintly, thinking of her...brother, in that way. For so long, she hated it when he called her "sis". Now she was used to it, and she didn't mind it so much. He loved her sister, and he would take good care of her. That was enough for Light.

Riku "hmphed" at the last part, looking out at the water. "Sounds like a good guardian to me," he admitted softly. That was how Sora was with Kairi, and Roxas with Namine. True love, at its best.

"He prefers to be called the 'hero'," Lightning said, shaking her head faintly. "He's cocky, stubborn, and arrogant, but...he's decent. Serah wouldn't have picked him if he wasn't." Light realized that her sister actually made a good choice when she traveled with Snow a while ago. He was genuine, at least. That was good.

Riku hummed again, his eyes lowering to the water that lapped at his feet. He believed everyone had their soft side, even if it took forever to reach. Or you sometimes saw it when they were with someone they loved; it just appeared.

Light nodded slightly, looking at the ocean. Snow, you better be taking care of her, she thought. She wondered if anybody knew about her crystal stasis. And how she still was l'cie, even after turning to crystal again...Not even Riku or Ven knew about that.

Riku remained silent, only hearing the water roll in softly. The breeze blew his silver hair a little, but he didn't really pay attention. Once again, his thoughts were on Lightning. It was odd, considering this hadn't happened before. Ever. No girl lingered in his mind for this long.

Light lifted a hand to her chest at that thought, looking down a little. She checked this morning and the brand was still there. But it was white, so there was no risk of her turning into a l'cie. Now she just hoped the brand never activated again, or she'd have a serious problem.

Riku's hands balled into fists at the realization, for the first time feeling unsure and...scared. This wasn't normal for him. He never got close to a girl, or one that was like Lightning; a soldier, twenty-one, and wanting more than some kid.

"Maybe someday, you can meet them," Lightning said after a few moments of thought, getting back to the conversation at hand. Riku saved her life yesterday; she knew that what was left of her family would be grateful.

"Me?" Riku said, furrowing his eyebrows. Why would he meet them? Wouldn't Ven be the one to do that? After all, he was family.

Light shrugged, not seeing it as such a big deal. "They're my family," she stated. "And you helped me survive yesterday. They'd want to thank you."

"Oh," Riku said, lifting his gaze to the play island across the water. "I see." That made sense then. But he doubted he would be leaving the Islands for a while; he just wanted to be home.

Lightning hummed, nodding faintly. She'd have to stick around the islands for a while before going to Serah, though; Ven was going to be clingy for a while. It was understandable, though; he was so innocent that losing anybody would shatter him. She wouldn't let the two of them be separated again.

Riku closed his eyes after a minute, releasing a small breath. He felt stressed, which was unfortunate. He'd been that way the last four months. Was it because of Lightning and her involvement in his daily life, even indirectly?

"Are you stressed because Maleficent is still out there?" Lightning asked, hearing Riku's sigh. That was the only thing she could think of that would make him stressed. She was a bit worried about it herself, tempted to leave and hunt down the witch who threatened Ven.

Riku scratched his head. "I guess," he said softly, opening his eyes to stare at the ground. "But I'm not too worried about her. I know her well enough to say she'll make herself present soon enough." Maleficent loved conflict, and the Darkness along with it. It wouldn't be too long until that time came.

"Mm," Lightning hummed, furrowing her eyebrows at that. That wasn't a good thing that she would make herself present; she would surely wreak havoc whenever and wherever she appeared. Light didn't like sitting around and waiting for the enemy; she'd rather hunt them.

"Until then, don't sweat it," Riku said, keeping his gaze down. "She's not worth your concern." Maleficent wasn't worth anything in his eyes, not after what she did to him. How she used people, even Lightning, to her own advantage. She was cruel.

"Right," Lightning said, though she disagreed. Maleficent was a witch who could watch them at any time and strike at any moment. That was worth worrying over.

Riku pushed himself up from the ground after a moment of silence, though his eyes found the island again. He remembered what happened there, how he got swallowed up by the Darkness. He welcomed it then, which was a stupid move. Never again would he do that, or let his friends make the same mistake. That was why he did what he had to with Lightning; he wouldn't let Maleficent use her.

I should hunt her, Light thought. But she'd go alone. She wouldn't drag anybody into this, especially not Ven. Maleficent wanted her, and so she would get her. She would get her fury and wrath for threatening Ven and nearly killing her. This time, she'd win the fight.

"Hey, Light," Riku called softly, keeping his gaze forward still. He needed her to promise him something, and mean it. Maleficent wasn't one to be messed with, and he needed her to know that and accept it.

"Yes?" Light said, looking up and over at Riku as he stood next to her. He made it sound like he had something to say, so she would listen. Like she said a few months ago, he had her respect.

"Do me a favor," Riku said, his eyebrows still furrowed in seriousness. He then turned his head, looking down at her. "Don't be reckless." He saw her rage at how Maleficent threatened Ven, and he didn't want her making a decision that would bring about an ugly result.
