Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Lightning sensed another person with her, and close. She looked a little further down the bed and saw Riku there, though she was surprised to see him. She had expected Ventus. Or Aqua, since the person with her draped a blanket over her. That was a kind gesture she wouldn't expect from a man.
Riku met Lightning's eyes and kept hold of the gaze, not saying anything at first. He tried to see what it was that she was thinking and what was expressed in her eyes. Was it surprise? "I'm glad to see you awake," Riku admitted softly, lowering his linked hands from his mouth so he could speak clearly. He was scared she would sleep for much longer than that.

Lightning glanced at one of the windows, seeing moonlight pour in. "It's nighttime?" she asked, though it was obvious. She set her hands on the bed and tried to push herself up, grunting slightly when it was harder than expected. I'm so weak...
Riku released one of his hands to set on Lightning's shoulder. "You slept for a while," he said, putting light pressure on her shoulder to keep her down on the mattress. "The Darkness got to you."

Lightning stopped trying to get up when Riku pressured her, and she could tell that it was meant to be light. But it was strong enough to keep her down. "Right," she said, closing her eyes again. It knocked her out as soon as they got out of the house.
"...Sora healed you," Riku said, taking his hand back after a second's hesitance. "But I don't know if it did any good." The cuts may have been healed, but the most important injury was still there. Darkness.

"Doesn't feel like it," Lightning said, lifting a hand to the pillow in front of her and gazing at it. She didn't feel physical pain much, it was more...internal. It was hard to explain.
Riku looked away at that, staring down at the mattress. "I figured as much," he said softly. "It's the Darkness." Maleficent had to have done this on purpose. She either wanted to kill Light, or taint her.

Light nodded slightly against the pillow, her gaze turning into a faint glare as she looked at the pillow. "It engulfed the house so quickly it practically paralyzed me," she confessed. She didn't like saying such a thing because it showed weakness, but Riku had a right to know since he had to rescue her.
Riku's eyebrows furrowed a little and he closed his eyes, that being something he didn't want to hear. "Sorry," he said without thought. Things happened the way they did for a reason, but maybe if she had been taken out of the house just a little bit earlier...

Lightning glanced over at Riku, furrowing her eyebrows slightly. "Don't apologize," she said. "You're not at fault." It bothered her when people apologized but had no reason to do so. He shouldn't have taken responsibility for another's actions, that person being Maleficent. I'll kill her.
"Maybe not," Riku said, opening his eyes to gaze at the mattress. "But some people appreciate the thought." He knew some people like that. It was like going to a funeral; the death wasn't your fault, but you said sorry for the loss anyway. It was similar here, though he was thankful death wasn't a part of it.

Lightning hummed faintly, softening a little. She didn't want to argue with Riku over something so stupid, especially when she wasn't feeling her best. "Thanks," she said, though she was really thanking him for saving her.
"Mm," Riku hummed quietly, nodding a little. His eyes left the blankets covering Lightning's waist and instead went to her face. He wasn't sure if it showed on his face (and it probably didn't, since he wasn't the easiest person to read), but he was so relieved she was speaking to him. He was afraid that Darkness infected her worse than it did now.

Light felt some pressure behind Riku's gaze, and she was confused. Why was he staring at her like that? "What?" she asked, though her voice was soft both because of how quiet the room already was and because of her weakness.
Riku looked away instantly, realizing that he was caught staring. "Nothing," he lowly replied, using his hands on the mattress to rise to his feet. He was just enraged at Maleficent. She needed to pay for what she did to somebody he cared about. Riku's hands tightened into fists at the realization, the boy swallowing. Someone he cared about... Lightning.

Lightning shut her eyes again, gripping her pillow lightly. "Right," she said, though she didn't believe Riku. He was acting strange, staring at her and even being here when she woke up? He acted like he was there for a while, too.
"Get some rest," Riku said, glancing over at Lightning again. Until she woke up again, he would be somewhere else entirely. Business needed to be taken care of.

"Don't be reckless," Lightning said, telling Riku the same thing that he told her a week ago. She had been set on hunting down Maleficent, and now she sensed that Riku would want to do the same. But Lightning would be the one to kill her, as soon as she got better.
Riku let his eyes linger on Lightning for a second. "Right..." he answered quietly. He kept his gaze locked on her for another second before forcing himself to turn around, heading toward the door. He needed to get going if he was going to get this done while she was unconscious.
  • Author
"I mean it," Lightning said firmly, opening her eyes to look at Riku. He couldn't go do anything reckless while she was unconscious. She knew that was what he was thinking, because she would do the same if she were in his position. They were alike in that way.
Riku stopped at the door, the boy turning a little to look back at her. He smirked; whether it was with or without humor, he didn't know. "I know," he said with a nod. He tore his gaze from Light's and grabbed the doorknob, stepping out into the hall to pull the door shut.

Lightning furrowed her eyebrows, looking at the door. "Riku," she said, still being firm. He still didn't make her any promises that he wouldn't be reckless, which proved that he had something in mind.
Riku hadn't closed the door all the way, so he heard Lightning's voice. He opened it a little, peeking his head in so he could see her. "What?" he asked lowly. She may have been older, but she wasn't going to boss him around. He was going to do what he thought was best, whether she liked it or not.

Lightning attempted to push herself up again, still looking at the door. "Ven trusts you to stay the whole night," she said. "Remember that." If Riku left and Ven found out, then he would be in serious trouble with her brother. Don't break Ven's trust.
