Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku glanced away at that, but then he looked back up at Lightning. "Got it, chief," he said, lifting his free hand in a mock-salute. Nothing would happen. He would make sure of it.

"If Maleficent doesn't kill you, I will," Lightning said, giving up on sitting upright and laying back down again. "Don't treat me like I don't know what you're thinking." Riku couldn't fool her, and he wasn't the best liar she saw. He was good, but she could see through him because of their similar personalities.
Riku lowered his hand and leaned against the door frame. "Ever heard of 'pretend', Light?" he asked, lifting an eyebrow. "Don't ask, don't tell. That's how my life works." He wouldn't give her any details, anyway, since she seemed to know already.

"Well, I still have questions to ask, so you're not going anywhere," Light said, disliking Riku's tone. There were some things that she needed answered, and only Riku could proved the answers she needed, now or ever. She didn't care if it was the middle of the night.
Riku rolled his eyes slightly, though he was sure Light could see it due to the moonlight shining on his face. "Ask away," he said, not really wanting to deal with this right now. But if he didn't stick around, Lightning would come after him. That was the last thing he wanted.

"What happened after I passed out?" Lightning asked, turning on her back to look up at the ceiling. She was genuinely curious about this one, but as this conversation progressed, she'd have to make up phony questions to keep Riku around. Once it got closer to daylight, he'd be stuck here.
"I brought you here, to my place," Riku answered, his arms crossed over his chest now. "Kairi and Ven were here for a while, since I asked them to come. Their Light can help you with your recovery." He shrugged then. "They left to go get some rest a few hours ago." Riku had been here since then.

Light shut her eyes, having realized that she was in Riku's house a while ago. "Where are Ven, Aqua, and Terra staying?" she asked. Their home was burnt down, so where were they now?
"The mayor probably got them another house to stay in," Riku assumed, his eyes staying on Lightning. "They should be fine." Meanwhile, he needed to get going. Maleficent wouldn't be expecting him just after today's events.

"So why aren't I staying with them?" Lightning asked, eyes remaining shut. "Clearly you don't want me here right now." He wanted to leave and not have anybody stop him, but that wasn't going to happen. Riku was a friend, and she protected her friends fiercely. Even from themselves.
Riku blinked at the last bit, shaking his head a little. "That's not it," he replied truthfully. "To be honest...I actually do want you with me instead. I know firsthand what the Darkness does to a person's heart, and I want to make sure what happened to me doesn't happen to you." He meant that, completely. The last thing he wanted was for Light to get hurt.

"Yeah, well, if that were true, you'd stay with me instead of hunting the witch," Light said, furrowing her eyebrows slightly. "Which is more important to you, Riku? My well-being or fighting her for setting foot on your island?" That was what this was about, wasn't it?
Riku's eyes narrowed slightly. "Both," he replied firmly. He wasn't about to let Maleficent get away with this, no way. Even if he was slightly surprised that Light knew what he was going to do, he didn't care. It needed to be done.
  • Author
"That answer's not good enough," Light replied sternly. "Set your priorities. One of them has to be more important than the other." By trying so hard to leave, Riku was proving that Maleficent was more important, not that it was that big of a deal to Lightning.
"I'm not just gonna let her get away with what she did today," Riku said, pushing himself away from the doorframe and uncrossing his arms. "If you think I am, you're delusional." Justice was going to be served.

"She set foot on your island and got away before you could even detect her," Lightning said, staring up at the ceiling now. "You're ticked because she could have done something worse if she wanted to. This isn't about her; it's about you." He was looking to fulfill his own need for revenge instead of working for the purpose of defeating evil. His motives were selfish and dark.
Riku's jaw flexed at that, and his hands balled into fists. "What's that supposed to mean?" he asked stiffly. If Lightning thought he was just doing this for himself, she was incredibly wrong. Maleficent needed to pay for what he did to Terra, Aqua, and Ven's home, and for hurting Lightning. It wasn't okay.

"Looks like the Darkness didn't only get to me," Light said, though she didn't look over at Riku. "You're normally not this temperamental." At least from what she could tell.
Riku felt his eyes harden at the words, taking it to heart. "I don't take potential murders toward people I care about lightly," he said strictly. "If Darkness is the path I choose to take care of this, then so be it." His hands remained in tight fists as he continued. "Your opinion doesn't matter in this case. I'll handle things my way." He was done talking about this. He reached for the doorknob, planning to leave as soon as possible.

"You're going to get yourself killed," Lightning mumbled, grasping the sheets when she actually said that. Riku was acting on impulse, and his life wasn't even one of the lives that were threatened. She knew he cared about his friends, but still, this wasn't good.
"If I do, you won't have to worry about any lingering Darkness," Riku retorted lowly, looking away. He started pulling the door shut again, wanting to get away from Light's critique. He didn't need it on top of everything else.
  • Author
"Lingering Darkness?" Lightning repeated, actually confused. What was he talking about with that? She would have it in her system for a while, whether Riku was dead or alive. Unless the Darkness he referred to was himself.
Riku paused, the door halfway closed as his back was to the room. "You're smarter than that, Light," he said lowly. "You'll feel a difference once I'm gone." With that, he closed the door, walking away. It was time to handle Maleficent.

Lightning rolled onto her side to face the wall and not the door, pulling up the blankets. Riku was right; she did feel a difference. She felt worse. His Darkness may not have been good for her, but Riku himself was. Why?
Riku walked outside and looked up at the bedroom window, where Lightning was. He pushed the button on his armguard and summoned his armor, his glider also appearing. Jumping onto it, he lifted it into the air until he could see Lightning through the window, even though he was quite a distance from the house. Looking at her through his tinted mask, he wondered if this would be the last time he saw her, and if Maleficent would kill him. Even if she did, Riku knew what he was doing was for his friends, and that was all that mattered.
