Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

"The Darkness wasn't for me," Riku replied, walking past Pete to go to the next room. "Now why don't you run along, kitty, before you get hurt?" He wasn't scared of Pete; he would be surprised if a five-year old was. He was harmless, even if he acted like he was a mountain lion.

"Perhaps you should worry about yourself, child." Maleficent's voice echoed through the room before she appeared a few yards in front of Riku. "After all, you did manage to walk right into my hands."

"I'm not scared of you," Riku said lowly, no longer walking as he gripped Way to Dawn. "I'm the one you should be scared of. You're gonna pay for what you did to my friends."

Pete smirked slightly from his position, knowing that Maleficent had the person that she wanted in her grasp. Riku was the one who was going to suffer now, not Maleficent. Today, they'd eliminate one of the Keybladers that caused them so much trouble. I'll stick around to watch this.

"Did?" Maleficent repeated, smirking slightly. She noticed Riku's eyes harden at the remark, and she only continued. "Or do you mean, will do?" She tapped her staff on the ground and summoned the girl she so easily kidnapped, though it wasn't her at all, just a little puppet. "After all, this happens to be somebody you especially care for."

Pete watched from his spot in silence, seeing Maleficent easily summon the puppet into her grasp. It looked just like the real deal, though, so Pete wasn't worried. This plan was genius, and it would go on without a hitch.

Riku's eyes widened, a grunt leaving him at the sight of her. "Lightning!" he cried, taking a step forward. Her arms were chained behind her back, and she was squirming. Looking over at Maleficent, he saw her smiling. "Let her go, Maleficent!"

"I do not take orders from you!" Maleficent snapped, glaring at the boy. "Instead, you shall watch in horror as this lovely creature burns to ashes." She heard Riku start to speak, but she simply tapped her staff, and the fire started.

"Light!" Riku hollered, running forward instantly when he saw the girl go up in flames. He heard her screams immediately, and they made his heart skip. But he ended up running into a barrier, getting knocked back a few feet and landing roughly on his back. But the screams were enough for him to push himself into a sitting position, his eyes wide in horror at what he was seeing. "No!"

Pete smirked from his place, wisely staying silent. No distractions; Riku had to witness this horrifying scene and believe that his friend was dead. Really, it was just a puppet on fire, but as long as Riku thought it was the real deal, everything would work out perfectly.

Riku squeezed his eyes shut, lowering his head as the screams continued. This was awful, horrifying, one of the worst things he'd ever witnessed. But...when Riku had his eyes closed, he paid closer attention to his other senses, specifically the sense of smell. Darkness... He could only smell Maleficent's, not Lightning's. Something was going on here.

Maleficent only smiled as the puppet faded away, disappearing. To Riku, the girl would be gone forever, and then he would have to suffer. How lovely. "How unfortunate," she said in the silence that followed. "Your precious beloved is gone. What ever will you do?"

"Hmph," Riku grunted, a smirk on his lips now. "Nice try, Maleficent. But you forgot one important detail when you played this little trick on me." He lifted his eyes to her, which were a piercing aqua from his rage. "You taught me the most about Darkness, and how to notice specifics. That wasn't Lightning. That was a fake!"

Pete's jaw dropped at how Riku caught onto their scheme, the cat in disbelief. He really saw through it that easily?! He seemed so convinced just a few minutes ago, but now he was positive that he had been tricked! ...Maybe it's time I took my leave, he thought. Things would only get worse from here on out.

Maleficent gasped. "Impossible!" she said, truly shocked. "It was perfectly cloned. There's no way you could have noticed such a thing!"

"Wrong," Riku said, reaching over and grabbing his Keyblade. He then pushed himself up. "One thing you forgot about me, I can smell Darkness. Every person has a specific stench, and there was no Darkness coming from that doll of yours." He twirled his blade in his grasp, then gripping it tightly. "But you, you stink."

"You fool!" Maleficent shrieked, enraged by this pathetic boy's attitude. "How dare you!? I'll teach you to take such a tone with me!" She held her free hand out to her side, her staff glowing green. It was time to summon her real catch.

Lightning appeared next to the witch, her hands in shackles behind her back. She didn't seem much point in it, though, since she was so weak she could barely stand. She blinked when she saw the new room she was in, and the person who stood in front of her. Riku.

Riku knew that this time it was real, and his expression probably showed as much. "Light..." he said in horror. Maleficent's evil grin only told him this was real, since the witch had a hold of the hair on the back of Lightning's head.

"You are a fool, Riku, to underestimate me again," Maleficent spat. "When will you ever learn that the Darkness shall always conquer you? Directly or indirectly? Through you or through precious individuals?" She yanked Lightning's head forward before pulling back on her head, meaning to cause the girl pain.

  • Author
Light grunted to keep herself from crying out, stumbling back a step when Maleficent mercilessly yanked at her hair. Somehow she managed to stay on her feet, though her eyes became moist and angry at the pain as she glared at Maleficent. She would pay for this.

"You see, I wanted you to believe that this stubborn brat was dead, that way I could make her my super soldier," Maleficent continued at Riku's fearful expression, especially at the hair yank. "Of course, you pathetic Keyblade Masters have to come and screw everything up, and make my plans fall to ashes."

Riku tore his eyes away from Lightning, looking over at Maleficent instead. "You always were an old hag," he spat. "Perhaps we were trying to tell you something." To die. He saw Maleficent's jaw drop in shock, and he only glared at her, then gazing back at Lightning. I'll get you free. Just hold on.

Lightning kept her glare on Maleficent, hoping to take advantage of her when she was stunned by Riku's comment. But she couldn't move much when the witch had such a firm grasp on her hair. She was close enough to do one thing, though. She elbowed the witch roughly, though she doubted it would be enough to make her release her.

Maleficent grunted, gasping for air that got knocked out of her. "You...wretched, foolish girl!" she spat, but she didn't have much more to say than that.

Riku fired a Dark Aura spell at Maleficent's face, and he was happy to see it hit. He saw her stumble back but release Lightning, and he instantly got on the offensive.

Lightning sank down to her knees when Maleficent released her, forcing herself not to fall forward. She couldn't catch herself, not with her hands cuffed behind her back like this. She grunted, trying to work her way out of them.
Riku ran forward as Maleficent gasped for breath and patted at her face, trying to get the blue flames to disappear. He came to a stop next to Lightning and aimed his Keyblade at the shackles holding her wrists. He had to set her free so she could leave. She needed to get out of here.
  • Author
"Go after her!" Lightning snapped, looking up at Riku with angered and pained eyes. He didn't have time to free her with Maleficent still around.

"She wants you!" Riku argued, seeing the shackles come loose. At that, he bent down and gripped Lightning's upper arm, pulling her up to her feet. "You have to get out of here!"

Maleficent began to recover, and she looked over at Riku and the soldier girl. She growled underneath her breath and felt her strength coming to her, prepared to summon a spell to hit one of them.

"I can barely walk, let alone run out of here," Lightning argued back, swaying on her feet when Riku pulled her up. She wasn't just being stubborn or hardheaded; she really couldn't get out of here on her own. If you didn't leave on this stupid hunt, none of this would have happened.
Riku was about to retort, but he heard Maleficent laugh not too far off. His head turned sharply in that direction, but his eyes widened when he saw a giant meteor coming in their direction. Riku turned and wrapped his arms around Lightning, getting in the path of the spell. It impacted his back as he protecting Light, a pained cry leaving him.

Light was shocked when Riku wrapped his arms around her and took the blow for her, and she wasn't even knocked down when he kept his grip on her. He was trying so hard to protect her... "Odin," she silently mouthed, leaning her head on Riku's shoulder in weakness as her summon appeared behind him and swung at Maleficent with his mighty sword.
Riku heard Maleficent cry out as he grunted, forcing himself to recover. His arms stayed around Lightning, but he turned his head, seeing the horse-like creature that Light rode in to his world on strike the witch. He furrowed his eyebrows, but immediately focused on Lightning again. "You have to go," he said. She couldn't stay here.

Lightning looked up at Riku, trusting Odin to buy them some time. "Not without you," she said. Riku couldn't face Maleficent on his own; she was too dangerous. He had to leave, too. The sun was rising, and their friends would be awake soon to realize both of them were missing.
"I can handle her," Riku said with a small nod, even if Lightning's words affected him more than they should have. He heard Maleficent cry out as she casted another spell, and he worried about Lightning's summon and how long it could keep the witch at bay. "You can't. You're not strong enough."
