Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku swung at Maleficent as much as he could, but the witch just wouldn't go down. He growled under his breath and sent a Dark Aura spell at her, only to see her disappear. His eyes darted around in alarm, looking for her, but then he saw her appear just behind his companion. "Light!"

"Huh?" Light gasped, turning around at the cry. However, her eyes didn't land on Riku; she saw Maleficent standing right in front of her. She stepped back a step and raised her sword in defense, not able to go anywhere because of the Heartless still in the area.

"Say goodbye!" Maleficent hissed, swinging her staff in front of her as it glowed green. A powerful spell was summoned, a large gust of wind appearing, strong enough to move Lightning quite a distance.

Riku grunted, sprinting forward as fast as he could. He had to reach Lightning. Maleficent couldn't...

Lightning cried out shortly when she was pulled back by the wind, though she somehow managed to keep her grip on her gunblade even when she was in midair. She went through the open door and then landed roughly on the ground outside, bouncing and then going right for the ledge. Instinct took over quickly, and she lifted her free hand to grip the edge of the ledge when she dangled over it. Not good.
"Lightning!" Riku cried in horror. He moved to run past Maleficent, but she put a barrier spell on him for the moment, making him collapse and fall onto his back. He grunted, squeezing his eyes shut as the wind got knocked out of him.

Lightning put her sword back in its case, reaching up and gripping the ledge with both hands now. This was terrible. She grunted, starting to pull herself up. Normally, this wouldn't have been a problem, but the Darkness was poisoning her and making her weak. Too weak to even get back up after that spell.

Maleficent saw that her Heartless were still around, and she waved them off. "Finish her," she ordered darkly, and she watched as the Heartless made their way out of the room.

Riku forced himself up when Lightning popped into his mind again, but he didn't get far. Maleficent then set her staff against his chest with unnecessary force, which made him grunt. Looking up at her, he saw her looking down at him with angered eyes and an ugly frown. "Get your stupid stick off of me," he snapped, gritting his teeth.

"I don't take orders from some childish brat," Maleficent replied. She pushed the point of her staff harder against Riku's chest, hearing him wince, which only pleased her. "I shall break you more than I have in the past, Riku. Not only will your precious friend die, but your heart will crumble."

Light had her elbows up on the ledge when she saw all the Heartless come out of the room at her, and she knew she was in a bad position. She looked down and only saw darkness, but she heard the echoes of a cave. There was land down there, and she knew how to land on it safely. She lowered herself again and grasped the ledge before she kicked off, sending herself flying down into the darkness.

Riku glared at Maleficent at the words. "I'm too used to the Darkness," he replied lowly. "Yours can't hurt me any more than it has in the past. You've made me stronger, and that's your mistake."

Maleficent only tilted her head back in a laugh, which echoed off the walls before she looked back down at the pathetic boy before her. "Stronger? Riku, you have it all wrong," she said, her voice sickenly sweet. "Why, you've gone and made yourself weak, becoming so attached to that girl. And once she's gone, you'll have nothing left within you to fight. How does that represent such strength?"

Lightning couldn't see anything in the Darkness, but she trusted her instincts. This fall would kill any normal person, but she wasn't normal. She reached into her pocket and pulled out a grenade-like item, throwing it at the ground that she couldn't see. It was a Gravity Bomb that would soften her landing so she wouldn't be hurt at all. The area became lighter with the blue glow of water and she landed right on target, crouched down on one knee when she landed without taking any damage.
Riku ground his teeth together in fury, and he lifted his left hand quickly and fired off a Dark Aura orb at Maleficent's face. She shrieked and whirled back, stumbling as the spell stung against her, which Riku used as the time to get up. He gripped his Keyblade and swung at Maleficent full-force, hearing her groan in pain. He didn't stop, continuing to attack. He was done.

The air around where Lightning landed cleared, and she looked around to see that the area was covered in water, but solid water. She took a step out onto it, gunblade tight in her grasp. No sign of Heartless. She wondered what the ones above ground were doing after they failed to kill her.

Maleficent felt pain everywhere from Riku's devastating attacks, his sword cutting into her in various places. "Heartless!" she ordered when she had a moment. "Don't just stand there! Attack!" They did as she said, running for Riku and diving at him if they were airborne.

Riku's eyes widened and he jumped out of the way, rolling onto his feet after a Wyvern nearly collided with him. He gripped his Keyblade tightly and casted Thunder to stun the airborne foes, and it worked, though one still managed to thrust its shield at him.

Lightning fell down unexpectedly, her weakness coming back to her when she was by another wall. She was going to collapse, but she couldn't be unprotected. She still had some strength left...She summoned Odin again, the tall knight-like figure standing in front of her as she sat with her back against the wall. She could sense some kind of softness behind his gaze despite his hard exterior as she cast cure on him, trusting that he would be able to protect her again now that he had his health.
Riku retaliated with a quick swing, sending the Heartless going back a step. But his eyes went to the witch then, seeing her gasping for breath. Upon meeting his eyes, she glowed green and disappeared. "Coward!" Riku roared. She got away...again, and that meant Lightning was still in danger.

Light exhaled a soft breath in weakness, looking past Odin to see Heartless appear. "It's in your hands," she said softly, using one last cure spell on Odin to make sure he would be alright. That was all the strength she had left, and she closed her eyes as she allowed her summon to do the fighting for her.
Riku saw the Heartless staring him down, and he knew that they weren't worth the effort. He swung at a Wyvern as it got in his way and ran forward, heading for the open double doors. He reached the ledge and looked down, seeing nothing but Darkness. Lightning...where was she? "Lightning!" Riku hollered down, fear in his voice. She didn't fall...did she?

Lightning heard the sound of her name echo through-out the area faintly, but the battle was louder than the call. Odin was doing fine from what she could tell just listening. She didn't bother responding to Riku's call, trusting that when he heard the noise of battle, he'd come down.
Riku heard his voice echo, but then he heard something else. Battle. He glanced behind him when he heard a noise, seeing the Heartless from the hall pursuing him. Riku "hmphed" in disgust, but then turned, jumping down from the ledge. He felt the wind surround him as he fell, and he forced his Keyblade away, preparing to summon his glider.

Lightning curled her hands into light fists by her sides, not liking this feeling of weakness. She couldn't take care of herself at all, could she? She understood it was necessary to depend on others sometimes, but still, this was ridiculous. She'd probably lose consciousness soon; she probably already appeared as if she had.
Riku's glider appeared just below him and he landed on it with a soft grunt. He then steered it toward the area below, and as he got closer, he saw that it was Lightning's summon that was doing the fighting. To help out, Riku spun his glider through a big group of them, eliminating some to help the summon out. However, he then saw Lightning against the wall, and he steered his glider toward her before hopping off and approaching her. "Light," he breathed, though his voice held worry as he knelt down next to her.

Light didn't respond to Riku's presence, though she was able to hear the worry in his voice. Extreme worry. She wanted to say she was alright, but she really was spent; doing that little bit of fighting, summoning Odin twice, and then curing him took everything out of her.
Riku lifted a hand instantly to the girl's shoulder. "Lightning," he said again, his eyes on her face. She looked like she was unconscious, but...would Odin still be fighting if she was? Riku lifted his other hand to the side of Lightning's head, leaning closer. "Light, look at me."
  • Author
Light leaned her head against Riku's hand in weakness, and his tone only made her want to respond somehow. She peeked her eyes open and looked at him for a second before she shut them again, too weak to keep them open. Being around Maleficent's Darkness only made things worse for her.
Riku felt himself relax a little when he saw Lightning's eyes, and he breathed a little. She looked incredibly weak, and the only thing he could think to do was cure her. But what if the fatigue was caused by the Darkness? He couldn't do anything for that...
