Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku recognized the silence immediately, and he knew why nobody was speaking. He was right. "...I'll just take her back to my place and let her rest," he said. That was all he could do for Lightning right now.

"No," Ven said, eyebrows furrowing as he looked at his big sister. "She's not staying with you anymore." Not after he abandoned her. What was he thinking?! This was Ven's sister who was unconscious here, again! And it was all Riku's fault...

She can't stay with us, Terra thought, eyes serious as he looked from Ven to Riku. Only Riku knew how to help somebody who was poisoned by Darkness. Even if he screwed up, now he had to take care of Lightning. And Terra was sure Riku wouldn't make the same mistake twice.

Riku lifted an eyebrow at Ven. "Would you rather she suffered from the Darkness longer with you?" he asked. Ven didn't know how to handle the Darkness like Riku did. Lightning's life could be at stake. Actually, it already was.

Ven looked up at Riku, grinding his teeth in anger. "I'd rather she suffer a little longer than get kidnapped again," he spat, furious with Riku. He trusted him to take care of Light! But he had done the opposite; he left her alone and let her get hurt. Ven would never forgive him for that.
Riku blinked at the words, and he looked down at the girl he still held in his arms. He moved then, going past Ven and approaching Terra. "Take her," he said quietly. Ven didn't want Lightning in his hands, he wouldn't have it that way. He would take the responsibility for his actions, consequences included.

Terra glanced down at Lightning before he looked back up at Riku, faintly shaking his head. "You can take care of her better than we can," he said. He noticed Ven's surprised expression from his place, but it was the truth and he knew it, even if he was too angry to say it aloud.
"Apparently not," Riku said lowly, his eyes still set on Terra. "She's Ven's sister. If he doesn't want me with her, then I won't be." He would accept that, since it made sense. If he had a sibling and one of his friends did what he did, he would be upset too. It was natural.

"This isn't about Ven," Terra said quietly, voice low so Ven couldn't hear this part. "This is about what's best for Lightning. She doesn't need us; she needs you." Riku couldn't deny that he could help her overcome the Darkness best, because he said as much himself a minute ago.
Riku lowered his gaze at that, looking down at Lightning's sleeping figure. He knew how to deal with Darkness, but Ven didn't want Lightning with him, and Riku wasn't sure if Lightning would want to be in his presence after this either. It was his fault.

"Ven," Terra said, calling his younger friend over. He came over, though he didn't look happy about it since Terra was apparently siding against him. "Let's have Lightning stay with Riku for now, at least until we can see how bad she's hurt, okay?" He saw that Ven was still upset, but slowly, the blond's expression changed. He nodded slightly to Terra without saying anything, showing that he agreed. For now.
Riku lifted his gaze to the others, before his eyes finally found Ven. "She'll need your Light," he said, referring to the boy's heart. Even if Ven was upset with Riku, the latter was sure he would look past it for Lightning. He tightened his hold on Lightning a little before he stepped past her brother and Terra, heading toward his house.

Ven felt Terra clap his shoulder when he walked by, but he ignored it, following after Riku in silence. Lightning would have his Light, all right. He wasn't going to leave her side for a while.
Kairi watched Riku and Ven go, but there was something she could definitely see in Riku that hadn't even been present before. There was something about Lightning's presence that brought something out of him, and Kairi could tell that he was really concerned for the older girl's health.

Two days later

It was two days after Riku brought Lightning home, and she still hadn't woken up during that time. It was nighttime now, and she was in the same bedroom where she got kidnapped, still staying with Riku. In her subconscious, she noticed that the darkness got worse at night. It wasn't because of Ven leaving her presence at night, though; it was the darkness of night that got to her, even if she wasn't aware of the time. She shivered under her blankets, feeling freezing.

Riku noticed a moment ago that Lightning was shivering, and he grabbed a thicker blanket from the closet and draped it over her, tucking it around her that way she could be warmer. He was incredibly worried. The Darkness had to really get to her in order for her to be unconscious for so long.

Light still shivered after the blanket was tucked around her, the girl snuggling her head against the pillow in an attempt to keep warm. She didn't know if Darkness gave people nightmares, but that was all she was experiencing the past two days. Her worst nightmare was playing over and over again in her head. It was the day that Master Xehanort killed her parents and stole her brother.
Riku looked down at Lightning after tucking the blanket around her, not knowing what to do. The most that he really knew was for Lightning to get as much rest as possible, and to have Light around her at all times. The only problem was that Riku didn't have a large amount of Light within him. He couldn't really help when the others left.

Light turned her face into the pillow, a hand grasping it when she whimpered slightly. She was so young when it happened...so helpless. Just like she was now. Somebody wake me from this nightmare, she wanted to say. But which nightmare was she referring to: the dream or reality?
Riku's features expressed confusion and concern combined at the whimper, his eyes resting on Lightning in the silence. He put his hand on the top of the headboard as he leaned down a little, setting his other hand on her shoulder. He wasn't sure if he should wake her up or not, since she hadn't woken up in the last 48 hours.

Light turned her face out of the pillow a bit so she could breathe, her furrowed eyebrows starting to relax when the dream faded away. She also sensed...warmth. For the first time in a while, she felt warmth.
Riku decided against it as he gazed at the older girl, his eyes soft in the darkness. He wouldn't wake her and disturb her rest; there was a reason she was sleeping this long, and it was because she needed it.

Lightning started coming to, the Darkness releasing her so that she could wake up. She exhaled a soft breath and peeked her eyes open after a minute, blinking and then letting them stay open only halfway because of her tiredness. It was nighttime again.
Riku blinked at the sight of Lightning's eyes, keeping his position in surprise. She was awake? He was actually quite relieved, given how long she slept. Perhaps it meant the Darkness wasn't as deep as he thought...

Lightning sensed a presence hovering over her, and she knew without looking who it was. She shut her eyes again to focus more on waking up, still feeling weak. "It's a little creepy to stare at people when they're sleeping, you know," she told Riku softly. But he was probably worried after how she collapsed on him in Hollow Bastion.
Riku tensed at the words, his eyes widening briefly. He wordlessly backed away, standing up straight as he looked down at Lightning. He wasn't sure if she was mad or not, about what happened earlier. He wouldn't be surprised if she was. It would be reasonable, since he was an idiot.
