Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku furrowed his eyebrows a little, seeing Lightning's expression due to the moonlight. But he nodded and reached for the doorknob to close the door and leave her be.

Lightning felt Riku's gaze on her, but she ignored it, looking at the fist on her pillow. Well, at least now she would have plenty of time to think and make a plan to hunt down Maleficent. That witch would be dead soon.
Riku shut the door with a soft click, the hallway dark as he traveled down it to his room. There, he took off his shirt and collapsed on his bed, lying on his stomach. It only took seconds until he was out like a light, his exhaustion catching up with him the second his head met the pillow.

The next day

Light sat on the couch in Riku's living room with her little brother, her arm wrapped around his shoulder in a way that showed her sisterly love. She also had her other hand up as she lightly stroked his hair, and though she was really tired and weak, she didn't stop. Ven...he was just a child to her. He was so innocent. It broke her heart to see him so vulnerable. She kept her soft eyes on him, his head on her shoulder. Riku was out of the house right now, but she assumed he would be back any time. And he would probably yell at her for getting out of bed. She had to admit, getting downstairs had been really hard, but Ven needed her more than she needed her rest. And that said something.

Riku saw his house up ahead, and since his parents were out, he was given chores to do. Even if he was a Keyblade Master, he was still a teenager, which meant he had the same duties as the next kid. He carried a bag of groceries over his shoulder, his other hand in his pocket as he approached his home, eyes halfway open from exhaustion.

Light kept up her gesture, noticing that Ven seemed to be falling asleep on her. Just a kid, she repeated to herself, lightly running her fingers over the side of his head. She heard he wasn't sleeping well, and while she normally wasn't this soft or gentle, Ven was the exception. She'd do whatever she could to help him.
Riku approached his front door and opened it, stepping inside before shutting the door behind him. He rubbed at his eyes with his free hand as he walked a little further into the house, his head automatically looking into the living room. He lowered his hand from his face and lifted an eyebrow at the sight of Lightning. What was she doing downstairs?

Lightning didn't hear the door with the soft sounds of the TV blocking things out, and she didn't sense Riku looking at her, her focus on Ven. She lowered her hand and then ran it over Ven's hair yet again, her soft gaze on him. She hoped he was strong enough to get through this. But if he was strong enough to survive what happened when he was just a child, then he could survive this too.
Riku finally noticed Ven and he lifted an eyebrow, but didn't question it. None of my business, he thought, going in the opposite direction of the living room to reach the kitchen. He needed to put the small bag of groceries away.

Light stopped the gesture when she got too tired to keep it up, her hand going back to her lap. Ven seemed to notice, and she was sorry about that. He had seemed comfortable.

"I should go check on Terra and Aqua," Ventus said, yawning as he sat forward on the seat and stretched his arms. They were keeping an eye out for Maleficent, and working on rebuilding their house with Sora and Roxas's help. He was supposed to be helping, too, but he had to see Light to make sure she was okay.

"Go ahead," Light insisted, a faint smile on her lips. Ven told her earlier what was going on, so she wouldn't keep him from helping out. She could actually picture him having fun with a project like constructing a house, for some reason. He sure had enough energy to do hard work like that.

Riku set the bag on the counter, and busied himself with putting everything away, unaware of the conversation going on between Lightning and Ventus. He was glad his parents were gone during the day, because he knew his mother wouldn't be happy with him being so tired. She would question why, but he couldn't tell her. He never could.

Lightning and Ven said their farewells, and once he was gone, she laid down on the couch. She was curled up, though, leaving the end of the couch open. She felt ill from being up out of bed. Maybe I'm pushing myself too hard...She couldn't even make it down the stairs on her own earlier; Ven had to help. That had been humiliating.
Riku leaned his elbows against the counter and rubbed his face with his hands, closing his eyes. He heard clicking of nails against the tile floor and he knew Jasmine was with him now; his attention to her had lessened since he'd started taking care of Lightning. He turned his head and looked down at her, only to see her big brown eyes. He smiled sadly and reached a hand down, scratching her head.

Light shut her eyes, surprised that she was still so cold all the time. It was the Darkness, no doubt. But she only had on a black tank top and gray sweatpants, clothes that Aqua bought so she could be more comfortable. Apparently the people on Destiny Islands didn't sell many long sleeve shirts, but that was understandable. She would deal with it.
Riku jumped slightly when Jasmine barked, and when he gazed down at her in question, she ran over to the edge of the room, near the doorway. She barked again and Riku's eyebrows came together. "Jazz," he scolded. "Shh." But she didn't listen, only continuing to bark. What was wrong with her?

Light set a hand on the pillow in front of her, ignoring the brand on her chest that was exposed for the first time in a very long time. It wasn't really something she liked others to see, even if it wasn't active anymore. It showed that she was still l'Cie, but she didn't have the danger of turning into a Cie'th. She could live her life normally as long as the brand never reactivated.
"Jazz," Riku said again, more firmly this time, but the dog only tested him by taking a step back and then barking again. He lifted an eyebrow and walked toward her, only for her to run into the next room. Stepping into the entryway, he saw her approach Lightning at the couch before turning to him and looking at him expectantly. Riku was confused. Did Jasmine want him to go to Lightning? But why?

Lightning opened her eyes when she sensed a presence in front of the couch, and when she saw that it was the dog, she lifted a hand and set it on the dog's head. She ran her thumb over the soft fur while keeping her gaze on Jasmine, confused about what she was staring at.
Riku walked across the entryway and to the living room doorway, his eyes going to Lightning. Well, he was here, so Jasmine could relax now. "Any reason you're downstairs?" he asked, leaning his shoulder against the doorway.

Lightning noticed Jasmine sit down and set her head on the couch in front of her where there was room, and she lightly kept her hand on the dog's head as she shifted her gaze to Riku. "Ven wanted to see me," she said, though she expected a not-so-pleasant reaction out of Riku. He didn't sound pleased that she was out of bed.
"The Darkness doesn't care who wants to see you," Riku said, frowning. "It'll only hurt you more if you use up your energy." He guessed it took a lot to just get down here; she looked exhausted.

Light should have expected a response like that, and she only frowned at Riku's comment. She already knew that moving wasn't good for her, but Ven was more important than she was.
Riku sighed, lowering his head as he lifted a hand to run through his hair. This really wasn't going well. He thought Lightning would have been pretty recovered by now, but she wasn't. What was wrong?
  • Author
Lightning rubbed Jasmine's head lightly, eyes on the dog. "Ven's more important," she finally said. She didn't care about her recovery nearly as much as she cared for her little brother. He was needy right now, but she would toughen him up.
Riku closed his eyes, shaking his head. "I disagree," he admitted. He thought Lightning was more important. She was the one with Darkness in her, threatening to take over her heart. It was worse than he thought, and that was bad.
