A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

"I'll be fine," Riku answered, lowering his eyes from her face. To his surprise, it fell to the mark on her chest. So...that was her brand? He looked down at the couch at that. More thoughts popping up in his head.

Light looked back up at Riku after a few moments, though his eyes weren't on her. He wouldn't be fine if he kept this up, that was for sure. She had to stop depending on him, not that she ever actually asked anything out of him.

"...But with the Darkness and that mark on you, I can't say that things will end up the same for you," Riku said, lifting his eyes to meet Lightning's. Her brand...why was it white like that?

Lightning looked down at that, able to see the mark on her chest. Right, she never told him about that. "It's not changing," she assured him. "I'm fine as long as it stays like this." No focus, no risk of turning into a Cie'th. She was okay.

"So it can be reactivated," Riku assumed, lifting an eyebrow. He would try to absorb this while he was so exhausted, since he was interested. If that thing got reactivated, everything would crumble for Lightning again, wouldn't it?

"It can," Lightning said cautiously, lifting a hand to cover the brand. "But it doesn't seem likely." But why didn't the mark just go away? That was what she was confused about. Maybe she was still at risk after all...

"Good," Riku said, his eyebrow relaxing as he turned his head back against the couch, closing his eyes. That was a relief. Lightning didn't need more drama. But what if he was causing some of it, if there was any at all?

Light nodded slightly, glancing at Riku before looking back down at her hand. Maybe what she said wasn't true. Why would she have the brand if it wasn't going to activate again. She exhaled a soft breath, curling her hand into a fist. She couldn't focus on that; she had to beat this Darkness inside her.

The silence was luring Riku closer to sleep, a soft breath leaving him as he began to relax. It was funny... He remembered being on-guard a lot when he was near Lightning, but now he comfortable enough to sleep. It was weird how things changed.

Light leaned her head back against the corner of the couch, letting her bangs hide her eyes partially. She didn't want to fight, not anymore. She just wanted things to be at peace, for once...

Riku felt himself dozing off, and he wondered if he should just go upstairs to his room. Nah, that would take too much energy, he thought, suddenly feeling lazy, like Sora. A nap on the couch couldn't hurt, could it?

Light believed that Riku was already asleep, and she was glad for that. But now she felt tired, too. She laid back down, but faced the opposite direction from before. She moved her pillow and let her head rest by Riku, her eyes shutting once she was curled up and comfortable. She couldn't explain why she laid closer to him, he just...made her feel safe.

Riku's head tilted to the side once he was fully asleep, his senses weak when he was this drowsy; he didn't even notice Light move closer to him. His breathing became even as he slept, not meaning to pass out on the person he was supposed to be taking care of.

Light listened to Riku's even breathing for a few minutes before she too lost consciousness, Jasmine curling up in front of them and laying on the ground. It was time for all of them to get more rest.

A few hours later, Riku felt his nap beginning to end. He grunted slightly in his sleep, feeling the stiffness in his neck now that he was awake. He lifted his hand from the couch to rub at it. His eyes opened then, and his movement stopped when he saw Lightning right below him, her head on his lap. When...had that happened?

Light was still asleep even though Riku had woken up, which wasn't too surprising. She had been doing a lot of sleep lately. She hadn't realized that she moved closer to Riku in her sleep, though, the pillow now on the ground and her head in his lap. She had been having a bad dream.

Riku's eyes darted over to the other end of the couch, where Lightning's feet now were. When he dozed off, she had been resting over there, but now she was here? He was a little confused as he lowered his hand back to the arm of the couch, just then realizing his other hand was on Light's arm.

Lightning continued to sleep, used to the warmth on her arm by now. It was a good rest, whether she was aware of her surroundings or not. Sure, she was worried about Maleficent and the Darkness inside herself, but she felt better near Riku. That was just how things were.

Riku lifted his hand off Lightning's arm, not knowing how else to react. His eyes went to her face then, and his nerves went away. She looked so...vulnerable. When she was conscious, she always looked so somber. But now, Riku thought she looked like something else entirely. ...Beautiful.

Light exhaled a soft breath, noticing that the hand was removed off her arm even if she didn't know that the hand was what kept her warmer. Regardless, she stayed asleep and unaware of the gaze on her.

"Oh no," Riku murmured under his breath, lifting his hand that was on Lightning's arm to his face. He made sure that his voice was soft enough not to wake Light, but...wow. Where did that thought come from? He couldn't have...feelings for Lightning, could he?

Light didn't respond to the voice, not hearing it. Because of the battle between Light and Darkness inside her, she was tired all the time, and now was no exception. She was exhausted.

Riku looked past his fingers, down at Lightning. The peaceful look on her face again made him lower his hand, but instead, he lightly brushed her bangs away from her closed eyes. He'd never felt this way before, not even close. So...why was the attraction toward a person he never would have guessed he would be attracted to?

Lightning was faintly aware of the gesture in her sleep, only knowing that somebody was keeping her company when she slept. She tried to think, remembering that she fell asleep on the couch with Riku nearby. Was he awake?

It isn't that she's not pretty, Riku thought, taking his hand back after a second. It's just... He didn't really know. If he did have feelings for Lightning, then it would explain his overly protective status, and how stressed and worried he was over her.
