Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku frowned. "You call this winning?" he said, tightening his grasp ever so slightly on her arm to emphasize his point. This wasn't winning. This was suffering.

Lightning finally looked over at Riku, her eyes finding his. "I'm alive," she said. The rest didn't matter as long as she survived. Maybe a day would come along where she could finally do something right. That was the day she lived to see.
Riku shook his head, not believing it. "You're not alive until you love who you are and what's around you," he said softly, looking into her eyes. "Looking at you, I can tell it's all a lie." She wasn't happy, and it actually made him feel bad.

Light diverted her gaze wordlessly, not knowing how to respond to that. She didn't know what to say, at all. She felt like arguing that she loved Ven, but that was different. She didn't love her life, since it was just a journey to survive without finding real happiness.
Riku let go of Lightning's arm, but he instead lifted both of his hands to her shoulders, standing in front of her. "Claire may have been weak," he said softly, his eyes on her face, "but was she happier than Lightning?"

Lightning looked down towards Riku's chest to avoid his eyes, and after a moment, she nodded. Claire was happier than Lightning, of course. Lightning was a girl who grew up much sooner than she should have, lost her childhood, and turned into this messed up person.
Riku kept his eyes on Light's face. "What if you combined both?" he said after a small minute of silence. "Put Lightning's strength into Claire, and have Claire's happiness. See how it goes." She would be...better. It could even help with the Darkness if she focused on it. Or so he thought.

"Claire is gone," Lightning stated softly. Like she told Riku, she might as well have died in the fire, since that girl didn't exist today. There was no way to bring her back, or so she thought.
"I don't believe that," Riku said with a small shake of his head, his silver hair swaying a little. He doubted Claire was really gone. She was a part of who she was.

Whether you believe it or not, it's true, Lightning thought. She lifted a hand taking one of Riku's hands off her shoulder. "Claire died that day, along with her parents, and her hopes and dreams," she said, moving to take Riku's other hand off her shoulder so she could walk away.
"Stop it," Riku said, lifting his free hand to grab Light's wrist. Where was her faith? Her hope? Her motivation? Did she have anything left?

Lightning felt angered that Riku stopped her from leaving yet again, and she was sure that anger showed in her eyes when she looked back up at him. She was speaking the truth; nobody knew more about this situation than she did.
"What's the matter with you?" Riku asked, looking at Lightning in disbelief. His eyebrows were furrowed now, seeing the angered look in her eyes. "You're stronger than this..."

"What's the matter with me?" Lightning repeated, disbelief in her own voice. "I just told you about my childhood. That's what's wrong with me." She was messed up.
"That's what it is then," Riku concluded, looking down at her as he kept his grip, on both her shoulder and her wrist. "You won't let people in." She was carrying this burden herself, and it was eating away at her. The Darkness was only being encouraged.

"Because I end up betraying or hurting every person who gets close to me," Lightning said tensely. "Back off, Riku. You don't want to get deeper than you already are." She'd hurt him.
"I don't care!" Riku said then, enraged at the stuff Lightning was throwing at him. "Don't you get it? It doesn't matter to me, alright? I wanna help you! Why do you think I'm standing here?!" He wanted to help her get better. He cared.
  • Author
Lightning diverted her gaze, her hands in fists. How did he think he could possibly help her? After hearing just how messed up she was, he still wanted to help? Why was he so interested in her well being?
"Lightning," Riku said then, his voice lower than before. "I would have walked away a long time ago if I didn't want to help. You wouldn't even be here." If he was that cruel, he would have thrown her off to someone else. She'd been staying here for days. How didn't she know?
  • Author
"...Why am I here?" Lightning asked softly, her fists starting to come undone as she looked up to Riku's eyes. "Why haven't you walked away?" He shouldn't have cared so much...
"Walking away isn't my thing," Riku replied lowly, his expression one of seriousness. He never walked away from his problems. He tried doing that with the Darkness once, and it caught up to him. He wasn't going to do it again.

Light nodded slightly, looking down towards Riku's chest. She had expected something more personal than that, but oh well. She didn't really feel like prying, even if she did hope that Riku said more.
"Besides," Riku said, "you're gonna owe me once I get that Darkness out of you. And you know what I'll ask for." He smiled ever so slightly, thinking of a favor in particular that he wanted. But he wouldn't ask her for it now.

"Huh?" Lightning asked dumbly, looking back up at Riku in confusion. She had no idea what he wanted out of her, and she tried not to take the first sentence seriously. Riku wasn't doing this just to have something over her head.
"Think about it...Claire," Riku said, lifting an eyebrow at her. That should have been enough of a hint. He wouldn't hold it against her completely, but at least hope for it. He wasn't sure what was making him care so much, but he did. That was what mattered.
