Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

Riku stood upright and looked down at Lightning. "I'm not gonna tell you to rest. That's obviously a given," he said. He brought her to her bed for a reason, and she caught on, given the fact that she grabbed the blankets.

"Obviously," Lightning agreed, her head on the pillow once the covers were pulled up. She looked up at Riku, seeing something...different, in his expression. But she wasn't going to focus on that now.
"I'll leave you to it," Riku told her, nodding to Lightning once before he turned around. He started toward the door, rubbing the back of his head. He had a headache...

"Goodnight, Riku," Light said softly, though she knew he wasn't going to sleep himself. And it was the middle of the day, too. Why did she say something so dumb?
Riku smiled a little despite himself, turning around once he reached the door. "Sleep well, sergeant," he said, giving her a mock-salute. She knew to holler if she needed anything, so he wouldn't say it again. But he doubted she would; she never had.
  • Author
"Hm," Lightning hummed, smirking slightly. Funny that he called her a sergeant, because that's what she was in the Guardian Corps. But she hadn't told him that, so it was a lucky guess on his part.
Riku grabbed the doorknob and pulled the door shut with a soft click. Once that was done, he walked down the hall and started downstairs, meaning to get himself something to eat. Once Light woke up, he'd fix her something too.

Light kept her eyes open after Riku left, though her smirk did fade away in time. That was a serious and upsetting talk, and if she was a more emotional person, she would have cried. She had a lot to think about, though she would mostly focus on something she herself said. She trusted Riku...A lot. How was that possible?

One week later...

Riku had his hands in his pockets as he started toward the beach, well-rested now that Lightning was doing well. He hadn't seen her in about a day, since she'd been spending so much time with Ven upon the success of her recovery. He was glad she was okay, a lot of weight taken off his shoulders from relief.

Ven was hanging out with Terra and Aqua on the beach, the three of them hanging out and having fun for the first time in a while. They were still rebuilding their house, but they made a lot of progress on it in the past week. Today, they were taking some time off to relax.

Aqua chuckled and lightly smacked Terra on the arm for his recent action, but then she caught movement out of the corner of her eye. She looked over in that direction and smiled, lifting a hand in a wave. "Riku!" she called.

Riku lifted his hand from his pocket in a small wave in return, though his eyes roamed over the trio. But that was just it--there were only three of them. Lightning wasn't with Ven?

Terra lightly rubbed his arm after Aqua hit him, but when she called out to their other friend, he looked too. He glanced over at Ven and saw that he was smiling out of politeness, having not yet made up with Riku after their disagreement a little over a week ago. Well, at least Ven was mature enough not to make a fuss.
Riku came to a stop in front of his three friends, his hand now back in his pocket. "Hey guys," he said. "What's up?" He hadn't exactly seen them much, given that he was taking care of a certain someone.
  • Author
Terra shrugged lightly, turning to face Riku a little more. "Just taking a day off from working on the house," he said. They had been working hard on it lately, and even if none of them were excellent craftsmen, they were doing it well.

Aqua nodded. "Mm," she hummed in agreement. "You must be taking it easy too, since Lightning's all better." She saw her yesterday, and she looked like she gained her strength back. Riku must have done a good job at helping her recover.

Riku smiled slightly, though it faded as he looked to Ven. "Where is she anyway? I figured she'd be with you," he admitted. Ven had been busy with the others, so he hadn't exactly been over much. The house wasn't the only reason, though; Riku knew he was a part of it.

"You mean she didn't tell you?" Ven asked with an arched brow, only speaking because Riku looked to him. He found it strange that Light didn't tell him where she was going, since it wasn't that big of a deal. Maybe she just didn't have the chance to say.
"...No?" Riku said, furrowing his eyebrows. His sight briefly darted to Terra and Aqua at the question, seeing the latter looking at Ven. He did the same, looking back to the teen. What did he miss?
  • Author
"She went to go check on Serah," Ven informed Riku. "She said she was worried after not seeing her for a few months." It was understandable, since Serah was also Light's sister. Ven hadn't wanted to let her go, but he understood why she wanted to go, so he didn't argue.
"Serah?" Riku repeated without thought, taking his hands out of his pockets. Well, that didn't sound like such a big deal. Why hadn't she said anything? They were friends...
  • Author
"Mm," Ven hummed with a nod. "She said she'd be back in a few days." As long as nothing was wrong, of course. But if that was the case, maybe Ven would go to check on her to make sure that she was alright. He didn't want to lose her again.
Riku looked up at the sky. "I see," he said softly. He trusted Ven, but something didn't seem right about this. If she was really going to Cocoon, wouldn't she have at least mentioned it to him? It wasn't that big of a deal. And since it wasn't, why didn't she say anything? It didn't make sense.

Ven glanced back towards the ocean, not having anything else to say. He was genuinely surprised that Riku didn't know where Lightning went, since he always seemed to know where she was when she was on the island.

Aqua's eyebrows came together at the look on Riku's face, noticing his silence. "Riku, is there something the matter?" she asked. He seemed a little...different after hearing the news.

Riku lowered his eyes to the island not too far off, not responding right away. Something felt off to him. Light wouldn't have avoided him if she was really going to see her sister. "...Something's not right," he said. At least to him, it seemed that way.

  • Author
"What do you mean?" Terra asked with an arched brow, looking over at Riku. What was so unusual about Lightning wanting to see her sister? She clearly was devoted to her family, so this situation wasn't anything odd.
"...She lied," Riku said, turning his head to look at the others. "Lightning's not with Serah, or on Cocoon at all." She went to see Maleficent, didn't she? It made sense. She was back on her feet and had fully recovered. She wanted revenge for what was done to her. He knew that, and he hadn't noticed the truth in it until now.
