A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Light nodded faintly in caution, really not sure how to react to Riku. He was angry...It was so obvious. He must have been angry at her for what she did, but it was too late now. They were enemies, and soon, they would have to fight. Riku couldn't let her walk away from this.

"You should've..." Riku said then, glancing up at Lightning. "You shouldn't have..." You should've let her kill me, he wanted to say. It would have been easier that way.

Lightning didn't know what Riku was getting at, so she took a few more steps back slowly in caution. He hadn't summoned his Keyblade away...Was that because he knew they would have to fight? Or was it just that he hadn't thought of it? No, he was ready for battle; he still had his armor on...

Riku lifted his head when Lightning took a few steps back, and he reacted instantly. He took a few steps toward her and reached out, one gloved hand grabbing onto her tan cloak. He didn't want her to leave...

Light took one more step back after Riku had a grip on the cloak, and it came off when he grasped it, revealing the black outfit that she wore now that she worked for Maleficent. It was dark, so the purple cape she wore to replace her red one stood out along with her old gloves that were now died a faint green. And, of course, she still wore her red pack on her leg, her stolen goods in there.

Riku's eyes instantly fell to Lightning's outfit, and after scanning over it, he looked back up at her face. He dropped the tan cloth still in his grasp, shaking his head. Maleficent already had her dressed as one of the Darkness.

Light was even more uncertain of how to take Riku now, seeing how he looked over her and saw her outfit. Maleficent wanted her to dress differently so she never forgot whose side she was on. She nervously bit down on her lip, looking past her bangs to Riku.

"...I'm sorry," Riku said without thought, his eyes on Lightning's pale blue. This was his fault. She was a being of Darkness now because he wasn't strong enough to hold his own.

Light blinked in surprise, no longer nibbling on her lip. Why was Riku sorry? Was he sorry because he felt responsible? Or sorry that he'd have to kill her to protect the worlds. She took one more small step back, not wanting to hurt him or be hurt by him.

Riku no longer held his helmet in his grasp, since he grabbed onto Light's cloak instead. But now he dismissed his Keyblade as he closed the distance between them. He wrapped his arms around Lightning then, holding her close. He had been so scared.

Lightning's surprise turned to shock when Riku hugged her, and she didn't know how to react. He wasn't treating her as if she were his enemy. That was what she had expected, since Riku hated people who threatened other worlds. He was treating her the opposite...How could he do this after all the chaos she caused as Maleficent's servant?

Riku turned his head toward Lightning slightly, not caring that she didn't hug him back after his impulsive behavior. "...I was worried about you," he admitted softly, ignoring the desert breeze. He was just glad she was alright, even after being under Maleficent's order.

Light shut her eyes in sadness, but also to keep the sand out of her eyes. "Riku..." she said quietly, though she didn't know what to say. He couldn't embrace her like this; Maleficent would be upset with her for not returning right away with the stolen goods.

"I know," Riku said, frowning a little. "How I feel doesn't make a difference." She was stuck with Maleficent whether he cared or not. And he hated it.

Light shook her head faintly, pulling her head away a little to look at Riku. "You can't...treat me like this," she stated softly. "I'm your enemy now." He had to attack her, subdue her...kill her. He had to do it.

Riku tensed at that, pulling back. "What?" he said in disbelief. She may have technically been an enemy, but she wasn't at the same time. He didn't want to treat her negatively. He couldn't.

Lightning looked up at Riku, speaking formally instead of letting her emotions get in the way. "I'm Maleficent's servant," she said to him. "And the one responsible for all the chaos in the worlds. It's your job to put an end to people like me." Keyblade wielders were meant to keep the peace, after all.

Riku's eyes narrowed, and he balled his gloved hands into fists. "You want me to fight you," he said, not saying it as a question. It wasn't a guess. He knew that was what she wanted.

"No," Lightning said, eyes widening behind her bangs. "I meant that you have to fight me. It's your duty..." Even if we are friends, she added silently. She supposed that their friendship was over now that she was a servant of the Darkness, though.

Riku's jaw flexed with rage, but he nodded slowly, gravely. "...You're right," he said, backing up a few steps. He put his helmet back on and summoned his Keyblade to his hand. "Duty calls." Not only his, but so did Light's.

Lightning reached back for her sword, taking it out of the case and allowing it to transform to its full length. "Don't hold back," she said softly, taking a few steps back herself. She herself couldn't hold back either, since Maleficent always seemed to know what she was doing.

Riku's free hand tightened into a brief fist, but then he cried out, shooting Dark Aura at the girl he kissed weeks ago. He didn't want to do this, but he had no choice.

Lightning grunted, moving to avoid the attack Riku sent at her. She ran over to the side and shot at Riku with her gun, heading towards the cave. If she made it in there, then she could get away from Riku before either of them got hurt.

Riku lifted up his blade in time to block the bullet, and he saw Lightning run off. He grunted, going after her instantly. It was his duty to do so, not what he wanted.

Lightning cried out as she fired of Ruin towards Riku, a few orbs flying towards him as she neared the entrance to the cave. She jumped in while she could and started running, knowing she had to hurry back to Maleficent or pay the price.
