A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

"I'm sure he is," Light responded softly without looking up. "But I can't risk hurting him. Right now, keeping him alive is the only thing I can do for him." She couldn't be the big sister she was meant to be, unfortunately. That was how things were.

Riku frowned a little, his eyebrows coming together. "What if you're already hurting him?" he challenged quietly, his eyes on her. Lightning's absence was killing Ventus inside. Riku could see it.

Light shook her head faintly, lifting a hand to her forehead and shutting her eyes. She already knew that he was hurting emotionally; she had been referring to keeping Ven safe physically. She just didn't know what to do...

Riku lowered his head a little, looking down at the space between them. "I don't know what to say to convince you," he said softly. Ven needed her back home, more than Maleficent needed her here. Even Riku needed her back, though he wouldn't mention that small detail.

"You can't convince me, Riku," Light said softly in return, lowering her hand and looking to the ground in sadness. "This is the only way that I can protect Ven. His protection needs to come before anything else." He may have been happy if she came back, but he wouldn't be happy when Maleficent hunted her down and killed the two of them.

Riku sighed, closing his eyes in the dim room. "So that's it then?" he asked, some frustration coming through in his voice. That was it? "You're giving up, just like that?"

"I'm not giving up," Lightning said, furrowing her eyebrows as she glanced at the window. "It's not that simple." She just wasn't trying to escape, because she knew what would happen if she did that.

"Fine, then consider it giving in," Riku replied, restating what he meant. "You're giving in to Maleficent, to the Darkness. In my eyes, that's giving up." He would know. He was desperate in the past, and when he gave up, the Darkness was all that was there. He took it with greedy hands, and he paid the price. Riku didn't want Lightning doing the same.

"I'm not giving into the Darkness," Light said, looking up at Riku again. She submitted to Maleficent, yes, but the Darkness didn't control her heart. The witch only controlled her actions. There was a difference in her eyes.

"You smell," Riku said, not meaning to be humorous with the words at all. He lifted his eyes to her, keeping his position. "And you look terrible. The Darkness is affecting you, through Maleficent or not."

"It's just lack of sleep," Lightning said, glancing away and fixing her hair a little without thought. Maleficent had her running around a lot, and she was tired. It didn't help that Riku woke her up in the middle of the night to have a serious talk.

"Doubt it," Riku muttered under his breath, leaning back in his seat and looking away. He felt like Light was being brainwashed. Did Maleficent put some spell on her, to make her refuse and deny everything? Or was this her own doing?

"I'm sure you've heard of all the crazy things she has me doing," Light said, furrowing her eyebrows slightly as she kept her gaze of Riku. "It's hard, and unrealistic. I can't take care of myself." That was why she looked terrible.

Riku's eyes found Lightning again at that, hearing her tone. "That's why you need to come with me," he said gently, his voice soft in the dark room. "You can't take much more..." He could see it in her eyes, given the few times she looked him in the eye since he'd been here. Riku didn't like seeing her so...different.

Light shook her head faintly without looking up. "I told you...I can't..." she said, sadness in her voice. She couldn't go with him; it would basically be a death sentence to her friends and her brother. She couldn't put them at risk.

Riku leaned forward, setting his hand on Lightning's closest to him without thought. "...Please?" He'd never said please to anyone, no one except his parents when he was little; he wasn't the begging type anymore. But with Lightning, nearly everything was an exception.

Light looked up to Riku's eyes, able to see them even in the dim room and through her moist eyes. "...I can't..." she repeated in sorrow. She was...scared. These past few months, she lived in fear, and even if Riku often made her feel safe, he couldn't make her feel that way when she was still a captive of Maleficent's.

Riku blinked at the look in Lightning's eyes and the sound of her voice. He pushed himself off the chair and sat on the edge of the bed, lifting his hand from hers and to the back of her head, pulling her to him as his other arm went around her shoulders. He couldn't help it... He just wanted to embrace her. He felt so bad...

Light hugged Riku back, shutting her eyes once she was in his arms. She wasn't the same, strong person that she was when this first happened. She was timid, and afraid. She felt like her old self, only without the happiness. But, with Riku, at least she felt a little bit of comfort.

Riku let Lightning lean against him, keeping his hand on the back of her head as he looked down at her. "We're gonna figure this out," he promised quietly, holding her close. He would figure it out. He had to.

Light nodded faintly, moisture behind her closed eyelids. She didn't say anything, not wanting to tell Riku to leave like she should have. The longer he stayed, the better chance there was of him getting caught. She just didn't want to be alone anymore...

Riku kept his eyes on Lightning for another moment, making a decision then that he could possibly regret later. "You're gonna be okay," he continued softly, moving his hand from the back of her head to her shoulder, his fingers traveling toward her neck until he stopped. "I promise." Riku then pressed his fingers against the pressure point, meaning to knock Lightning out without force.

Light only winced faintly when Riku pressed against her neck, her eyes already shut. She lost consciousness immediately, leaning against Riku when he knocked her out. She didn't even suspect that coming, having wanted to focus on the soothing words that Riku said in her ear.

Riku felt Lightning's weight against him fully after a second, and he lowered his hand from her neck. "I'm sorry," he whispered softly, holding her for another moment before he picked her up, lifting her from the bed. It was time to take her home.

Lightning didn't respond to Riku's whisper, not aware of him picking her up, either. If she was aware of what was going on, she would have been hoping Riku remembered to grab her sword, shoes, and old clothes, since they were in the corner of her bedroom.
