Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku was too busy with his food to see that Jasmine ran off to greet Lightning, the boy flipping the bacon over and then grabbing the hot toast out of the toaster. He put it on a plate nearby before he poured the scrambled eggs on as well. After another moment, the bacon was done, and he picked it up with the right kitchen tool and placed them on the plate. Lightning's breakfast was done.

Light knelt down after a few moments, her hand finding the dog's head. When Jasmine yapped, her eyes widened in surprise, and she hesitantly pulled her hand back. But Jasmine wagged her tail at her, so apparently the yap wasn't a bad one.
Riku turned around and saw Lightning from his place in the kitchen, and he was happy to see that she was dressed in her old clothes, not the all-black outfit that Maleficent made her wear. It had only reminded him of how far into the Darkness she'd gone.

Light bit down on her lip without noticing Riku's gaze on her, and she hesitantly set her hand on Jazzy's back. The dog didn't seem satisfied with the touch, wanting a real rub down. But she forgot how to interact with this dog, having been gone for so long.
Riku smiled ever so slightly as he approached the counter on the opposite side of the stove, setting Lightning's plate down in front of one of the bar stools. He then turned, heading to grab her some juice.

Light eventually felt a little more at ease, though she still wouldn't say that she was comfortable. She lightly ran a hand over the dog's back a few times in silence, not speaking to Riku even though she knew he was in the room. She didn't know what to make of him. He seemed worried one minute, but distant the next.
"Food's ready," Riku called, the boy grabbing a bottle of water for Lightning. He grabbed one for himself as well, turning around and heading toward the island to set the water down.

Light looked up when Riku spoke, and seeing where he was going, she stood up and went over to the island. She sat down in front of the food that Riku prepared for her, seeing that it looked delicious. Too bad she wasn't really hungry.
"Eat up," Riku said, setting the water bottle down next to her plate, where a fork was already set. He leaned against his elbows, which were on the countertop, the boy standing in front of Lightning's seat. She needed her strength.

Light glanced up at Riku, before looking back down to the plate. "Thanks," she said softly, picking up her fork. She didn't eat in a rush but didn't pick at her food while Riku was watching.
"Yup," Riku said, his eyes resting on the girl in front of him for a moment. This was the first time he'd had to cook for someone in almost two months, since he'd cooked various times before for Lightning when she was staying with him.

Light felt Riku's gaze on her when she ate, but she didn't look up, focusing on getting the food down. It was good, and it tasted great compared to what she had been eating in Maleficent's castle, but she was too worried about her master to really enjoy the food.
Riku knew that this free, peaceful time was temporary. He knew what to expect with his action last night; Maleficent would come sometime today, or everyone would go to her. Either way, war would come, and he was prepared for it. Maleficent wouldn't be taking Lightning again.

Light started picking at her food subconsciously after she ate about half of it, just moving it around on her plate with her fork. She was scared. And she hadn't felt fear for a long time; it wasn't even in her vocabulary for most of her live. But now it was.
Riku saw that Lightning wasn't eating anymore, and given there was some bacon left, he reached forward and picked it off her plate, popping it into his mouth. Even if that could be considered "funny" or "lighthearted", today was far from it.

Riku's action brought Lightning out of her thoughts, and she lifted her head to look up at him to see him eat her bacon. He must have noticed that she wasn't really eating. Well, at least the food wasn't going to waste.
Riku swallowed his food before he spoke, his eyes still on Lightning. "Look, I know you're worried," he started, leaning on his elbows, "but everything will be fine." He'd make sure of it, even if it cost him his life.

Light set down her fork, her eyes meeting Riku's. "How?" she asked softly. She wanted to believe that, she really did, but Maleficent had her brainwashed so she believed she'd never escape her captivity. The fact that Riku was even able to break her out of the castle was shocking.
Riku took a swig of his water before replying. "You said you trusted me, right?" he said, setting the water down. "Then that's all you need to know." He would handle it. He had to.

Light shook her head faintly, glancing down at her plate. "I need to hear more than that," she said quietly. She didn't know what she needed to hear, but she needed to know for certain that things would be alright. She did trust Riku for the most part, but...She didn't know. She was confused.
"Okay," Riku said, leaning across the counter so he could be closer to Light. "How about the fact that you're with the person that she couldn't stop from betraying her? Someone who was strong enough to refuse her?" He shrugged a little. "Or the fact that my best friend has defeated her more than once?"

Light nodded faintly in recognition, gaze lowered to the food when she felt foolish. She already knew all of what Riku said; he had been under Maleficent before and he broke free. And Sora defeated her before. But like she said before, Maleficent was stronger. But if she said that aloud, Riku would argue that with six Keyblade wielders against her, she didn't stand a chance. They had this argument before, but she still couldn't believe this would work out alright.
Riku furrowed his eyebrows at the look on Lightning's face. "But...you still have your doubts," he concluded. She didn't believe him.
  • Author
"I just..." Lightning started softly without looking up, the girl not sure where she was going with that sentence. Of course she had doubts; she knew more about Maleficent's powers than anyone. Even more than Riku, since Maleficent had grown stronger lately.
Riku kept his position, hands clasped in front of him as his forearms rested on the countertop. His eyes remained on Lightning, waiting for her to continue.
