Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"...I'm just scared," Light said softly. She wasn't ever afraid before, not even in the face of death. But here, in Riku's kitchen, she was afraid. Even when she was with him, she was afraid. But it wasn't terror, so at least she wasn't that weak in front of him, not that she really cared anymore.
"I can tell," Riku said with a small nod. That was easy to see; it was evident in Lightning's eyes. The first time he saw it, it caught him off guard, since he didn't expect someone so...strong to feel such fear.

Light picked up her fork and started playing with her food again to avoid Riku's eyes, able to tell he already was aware of her fear. Would her lack of trust disgust him? Her lack of courage? She was just so lost these days; she felt like little Claire again.
Riku lowered his head, staring down at the countertop. "Light..." he said softly, though he wasn't sure what to say. Did Maleficent do this to her? Make her so...vulnerable and scared?

Light kept moving the food around on her plate, eyes already moist when Riku said her name. She didn't sense his gaze on her, so she didn't bother looking up. What was he going to say? She was a little afraid to hear it.
"...What did Maleficent do to you?" Riku asked finally, though he kept his eyes lowered. There was some anger in his voice. Lightning was completely shattered.

Light shut her eyes when Riku asked that question, one that she didn't want to answer. She brought her hands up to her face to hide the tear that left her eye, the girl starting to cry. It was terrible, like Riku said it would be. It wasn't just one thing that Maleficent did to make her like this; it was everything.
Riku didn't realize that Lightning was crying, taking the silence as a hesitant answer. Was it that bad? With Maleficent, he was sure it was. She was a heartless witch; she didn't show any mercy on anyone.

"She...was cruel," Lightning finally said into her hands, more tears leaving her eyes. She gave her physical beatings, which she could handle, but the mind games were unbearable. She used some kind of sorcery to basically brainwash Light and change her into a person who would fear her but be strong in the battle field.
Riku frowned at that, his eyes narrowing as he glared at the countertop. "What'd she do?" he asked again. He needed to know, that way he could do the same to her, when he killed her.

Lightning's fingers curled up a little in her bangs, and she guessed that Riku wasn't seeing her posture, or he wouldn't have asked. "Mind games," she said softly. That was the only way that she could explain it. She made her believe lies and live in fear, both these things unusual to Light. Maleficent transformed her into the loyal servant who would live under her forever.
"Darkness," Riku growled under his breath. That was what she used against Lightning. That no good, evil witch. Riku lifted his eyes then, and he felt his anger melt away at the way Lightning held herself. "Light..." he said, starting around the counter. She was crying?

Light didn't respond to how Riku said her name, though she did hear him start walking. She kept her hands over her face and held back her sobs, just letting the tears flow for now. When was the last time she cried? She couldn't remember.
Riku stopped next to Lightning, but he did more than that. He put his hand on her shoulder, squeezing it. He couldn't see her face due to her hands, but he knew she was crying. It was evident by the way she held herself and how she spoke--her voice thick with tears.

Light felt her shoulders relax slightly when Riku stood by her and touched her, though that action also made her release a faint sob into her hands. Why was she trying so hard to be strong? Was she afraid Riku would reject her if she was too vulnerable?
Riku tightened his hold on Lightning's shoulder at that, and he gently tried turning her on the stool. "Light, look at me," he asked softly. She needed to trust him. Really trust him. He wasn't going to let anything happen to her.
  • Author
Light turned on the stool, and since she learned to never disobey an order from Maleficent, she obeyed Riku's request. She slowly lowered her hands and looked up at him, her moist eyes finding his aqua ones.
Riku set both of his hands on Lightning's shoulders once she was facing him, but when he saw her tear-streaked face and moist eyes, every word that he was going to say left him, his mind now blank. His expression was full of concern and sadness at the sight of Lightning's fear. "Come here," he said as he stepped closer, wrapping his arms around her again in a hug. A real one his time.

Light turned her head on Riku's chest since she was still sitting and he was taller standing upright, her arms wrapping around his lower back. She shut her eyes and prepared herself for Riku to knock her out again, figuring that this time, he would do it as an act of mercy. To put her out of her misery for a little while.
Riku lifted his hand to the back of Lightning's head, his fingers finding her soft hair. He looked down at her and just held her, not about to pull the same thing he did last time. She was with him, so there was no reason to knock her out. He wouldn't do that again.

Light felt more tears appear when Riku's fingers worked their way into her hair, the girl unfamiliar with a gentle touch like that after living with Maleficent. A tear left her eye and slid down her cheek, but at least she didn't sob again.
"...I'll do whatever I can," Riku said softly, looking down at Lightning as he held her. He would do anything to keep her safe. She...meant a lot to him. The first girl other than Kairi or Namine that he felt protective of.
  • Author
Light bit down on her lip without responding, her head staying on Riku's chest. What did he mean by that? Did he mean he'd do whatever he could to help her, or whatever to stop Maleficent? She wasn't sure what would happen if he tried to do either of those...
I promise, Riku thought silently. Maleficent won't get near you again. He couldn't see Lightning like this anymore, so vulnerable and scared, like a child. She was so strong before, but Maleficent made her weak. It was awful.
  • Author
Lightning opened her eyes after a few moments of silence, assuming that Riku decided not to knock her out this time. She leaned into him without regret, trusting him to be strong enough. She wasn't strong anymore, not like he was. She wanted the strength back, but she didn't know how to get it.
