A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Riku kept his one arm wrapped around Lightning's upper back, his hand on her shoulder, the other hand still in her hair on the back of her head. He held her a little closer when she leaned on him more, but he was perfectly alright with that. Riku felt protective of Lightning, somehow, someway. If this was how it was supposed to be right now, he wouldn't fight it.

"Riku?" Light said softly, gazing off to the side as her cheek rested on Riku's chest. She felt...safe, for the first time in a very long time. She was still scared, but she felt protected. It was nice.

"Hm?" Riku hummed lowly, his eyes still resting on Lightning throughout the silence. He kept his hold on her, not releasing her, and not really wanting to.

"...I missed you," Light said quietly, tightening her hold on Riku ever so slightly. She missed having his friendship and strength and security. Heck, she even missed bickering with him. She missed everything about him.

Riku didn't move at the words, not that he really could, or wanted to. Lightning...missed him? He knew the skipped beat of his heart wasn't for no reason. Those words meant something to him.

Light thought she heard Riku's heart get off beat when she said that, and she closed her eyes just to focus on the strong beat. She didn't want Maleficent to come after her...She just wanted to stay with Riku and have things be alright. Of course, she also wondered where Ven was...

I missed you too, Riku wanted to say, but he kept his mouth shut. He let his fingers run lightly through Light's hair before coming back up to rest on the back of her head, his eyes on her.

Light felt herself slowly start to become less tense, not only because of Riku's small gesture, but because of his embrace. She exhaled a soft breath, her urge to cry fading away when she felt secure.

Riku didn't really want to let go, but there was someone more important than him. Ven, who was probably on the beach, where he always was, waiting for Lightning's return. But, still...

Light was okay with the silence, not wanting to break it. She was still confused because of Maleficent's mind games, but her concerns seemed to melt away whenever she was in Riku's arms. Of course she was still worried about her master, but...But she didn't know. She didn't want to go back, but she was scared not to.

"...Light?" Riku said softly, looking down at her with gentle eyes. He was curious about something, and he would ask it now, since they were so close...emotionally and physically.

"Yes?" Light asked softly in return, opening her eyes and lifting her chin so that she could see Riku better. It seemed as if he had something to say, so she would listen.

"Are you mad at me for bringing you back?" Riku asked, his voice still low even if it didn't have to be. When he saw her this morning, she looked so upset. But last night, she was upset because she was stuck with Maleficent. He was a little confused.

"Not...mad," Lightning said, thinking about it. "Just worried and afraid of what's going to happen next." As long as she was with Maleficent, she knew what would occur. But Riku wasn't as predictable, and there was no telling what her master would do now that her soldier was stolen away from her.

"Well, it's alright if you're scared," Riku said, his eyes on Lightning's. "Maleficent isn't exactly an angel." He frowned a little, but kept his hand in Lightning's hair. "Just know I'm gonna do everything I can to protect you, okay?" He wasn't letting Maleficent near her.

Light nodded faintly, the side of her head still against Riku's chest. "I believe you," she said softly despite the thoughts raging in her mind. Her recent experiences with Maleficent told her to never trust a Keyblade wielder, because duty came before friendship. They'd kill her because of her allegiance to Maleficent. But Riku was different...she really did trust him.

"Good," Riku said with a small nod. He was relieved to hear that, especially when Lightning hadn't exactly known earlier. What changed her mind?

Light felt a headache, and unknown to her, it was because of the magic Maleficent worked to try and turn her against her friends. Regardless, she lowered her chin and shut her eyes, hoping to make the headache go away. She was unknowingly starting to break through Maleficent's spells...

Riku kept his eyes on Light even if she lowered her head, keeping his arms around her. He was comfortable, like this. It was nice to hold someone this way and feel like more than just a big brother.

"...She's going to come at any time, you know," Light stated softly, eyebrows furrowing at that. Maleficent wouldn't allow Riku to keep her super soldier; she would try to steal her back. And Light didn't know what she would do then. If she could go with Maleficent to prevent a fight, maybe things would be alright.

Riku frowned, lifting his eyes to the wall. "Yeah," he said lowly. "I know." Maleficent was incredibly persistent; she never gave up. She was going to be just as difficult this time as she was the last, definitely. But he had enough rage built up that he would be stronger, more agile. He would be better.

Light sadly gazed at the wall in silence, her insecurities coming back. She was Maleficent's servant still, so did that mean that if she stood by the Keyblade wielders, she was betraying her master? Their deal would be off then, and Maleficent could do as she pleased with everyone. That didn't sit well with her.

"We're gonna need to come up with a plan," Riku said, mostly speaking to himself and thinking of the others. Maleficent was too difficult to take on by just running in; he nearly died the last time he did it. The others could handle a plan, that way they all knew what they were doing.

"...I don't know if I can fight her," Lightning said, loosening her embrace on Riku a little as she spoke her thoughts aloud. She was still her servant, and she swore not to betray her. If she fought her, that was definitely betrayal.

Riku looked down at Lightning when her hold loosened. "You don't have to fight, Light," he said. "We'll do it." Light could act like she wanted nothing to do with the fight, and the Maleficent would believe she was still on her side. Perhaps something like that could work.
