A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Riku furrowed his eyebrows when he sensed tension in the air, but he closed his eyes as he tried to dismiss the thought. It was probably Light, but she needed to relax. Things would be alright.

Light laid down after a few moments, looking up at the sky with pale blue eyes. She was sort of just staring off into space, trying not to think about anything. But it was hard; she could never get Maleficent off her mind.

"Just relax," Riku said, keeping his eyes closed. "They'll handle it." Or at least he hoped so. Maleficent was sneaky; she could see it coming, and then they would be in real trouble.

"What if they can't?" Light asked softly, turning to lay on her side and look at Riku. What if Maleficent outsmarted them and they lost the battle? Then her master would be even more mad...She'd probably take it out on Light when she got her back.

"It's not a question of can or can't," Riku said, opening his eyes to stare up at the cloudless sky. "They're doing what they must to keep peace. In the end, they've always turned out victorious." He doubted this would be any different.

Light turned to be on her back again, staring upwards. "If they had really done what they had to, they would have killed me a while ago," she said softly. She was responsible for a lot of chaos and destruction, and disrupting the peace. They didn't fulfill their duty and defeat her.

Riku turned his head at that, looking at Lightning with narrowed eyes. "You're gonna have to get over that," he said bluntly. "As Ven's sister, we won't touch you." Not only that, but she was being forced to do these things against her will. It wasn't her fault.

"You have to do what's necessary to keep the peace," Light said without looking over at Riku. "Whether I'm Ven's sister or not." The worlds were more important than she was; she recognized that. But the Keyblade wielders weren't, which was surprising.

"We are, right now," Riku replied, keeping his position as he gazed at her. Lightning knew they were doing what was necessary, and that was taking out Maleficent. She was the cause of everything, not Lightning. Light was just a tool, a servant, a slave.

Light silently gazed up at the sky, not responding. She knew Maleficent would get her way again and force Lightning to be her slave again. And this time around, she knew Riku would have to use that knife she gave him. Soon, he'd realize the worlds were more important than she was.

"Where's your faith, Light?" Riku asked, furrowing his eyebrows. Did she have any faith in them at all? Did she believe they could do what they set out to, or fail? Riku turned his head to look toward the sky, unable to believe that she thought his friends were going to die. That wasn't happening.

"...I don't know," Light said after a few moments, shutting her eyes in sadness. But in reality, she did know. Her faith was in Maleficent's cruelty, knowing that it would be what governed her future. That was where her faith was.

Riku just stared up at the sky, not knowing what to say. He hoped that Light found her faith soon, because sometimes that was all a person could depend on.

"...Sorry," Light said in sadness, opening her eyes to gaze at the sky. She was sorry for not knowing where her faith laid, sorry for doubting Riku's friends, and sorry for doubting him. And those were only a few things that she was regretting at that current moment.

"Don't sweat it," Riku said, his eyebrows furrowing. He didn't exactly understand, but there wasn't much he could do about it. Was there?

Light shook her head faintly in the sand, eyes becoming moist. He didn't mean that. He was disappointed with her answer, and in her. She wasn't the same person that he kissed, and he was angry about it. That was what she thought, anyway.

Riku didn't notice Light's movement out of the corner of his eye, but he sensed the tension in the normally peaceful island air. But, was there anything he could do about it? He didn't really know...

Light sat up again, pulling up her knees a little bit. She wiped at her moist eyes so that no tears slid down her face, not like earlier. If she cried, Riku would feel like he had to comfort her again, and she didn't want that pressure on him. She was so sure that he didn't like her anymore, but she wasn't so sure about why that hurt her so much.

Riku glanced over at Lightning when she sat up, only seeing a little of her face due to the angle she was from him. He wished there was something he could do to make her have some faith, but he didn't know what.

Light wrapped her arms around her legs and then lowered her chin to her knees, looking out at the ocean. Maybe it would have been better if she stayed with Maleficent. She wouldn't have been so confused or know how badly she had missed Riku's presence. Now when she went back, it would be more heartbreaking than before.

"...You worried about Ven?" Riku asked after a few minutes of silence. Was that why she was losing faith? Because she was so worried for her brother? It sort of made sense to him, but he felt the need to ask anyway.

"No, I'm sure he'll be fine," Light said softly. "He has Aqua and Terra with him." They were the protective siblings now; they'd make sure that Ven wasn't hurt by Maleficent. They were doing what Lightning never could. She couldn't protect him...she could only tear him down emotionally by turning to crystal and then becoming Maleficent's servant.

"Right," Riku agreed, nodding slightly as he stared up at the sky. Roxas and Sora were there too, so he was sure everyone had each other's backs. They would be fine. It was Maleficent he was worried about. Sneaky witch.

"I'm glad he has them," Lightning said without looking over at Riku. "The three of them seem like one big happy family." And Light was the outsider to the group, but oh well. As long as Ven was safe and happy, she'd deal with it.

"Sounds to me like that bothers you," Riku admitted softly, taking in Light's tone. She seemed really...depressed lately. It was actually starting to get to him.

 

"As it should," Maleficent said as she appeared in a flurry of green flames. She stood on the beach not too far off, a good distance between herself and the two warriors. "Ventus is all grown up. He doesn't need his big sister anymore."

 

Riku sat up instantly, his head turning sharply toward the voice. "Maleficent!" he said in alarm, his eyes narrowing at the sight of her. What was she doing here!?
