A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Light automatically gasped, looking over at her master. She came...I knew she would, she thought, though she was still afraid. I hope she can tell I didn't come willingly...If that was the case, maybe she would receive some mercy instead of judgment.

"Which is why you should come back with me, child," Maleficent said, ignoring Riku. Her evil eyes were focused on Lightning now. "What do you have to lose?"

 

Riku jumped up, summoning his Keyblade to his grasp as he moved to stand in front of Lightning. "Her freedom," he answered lowly. That was why he brought her back; she didn't need to lose it to Maleficent.

Light hesitantly got up on her feet, standing behind and slightly to the side of Riku. She looked past him to see Maleficent, not sure what to say or do. She had already been thinking about going back to her master, but Riku didn't seem in favor of that.

Maleficent smirked, lifting an eyebrow at the boy. "Ah, Riku," she said, shaking her head a little. "I can sense so much anger within you, so much Darkness. It must have been that which caused you to take away my soldier." She knew. Of course she knew. She was a mistress of all evil, a powerful sorceress. She knew everything, especially the plan behind the arrival of the other five Keyblade warriors. Maleficent was no fool.

 

"Not Darkness," Riku said stiffly, glaring at his own former "master". "It was strength of heart." He was stronger than she knew, even if she did come close to ending his life. But he wasn't about to let that happen again. Never.

 

Maleficent instantly laughed, tilting her head back slightly. "'Strength of heart'?" she repeated, taking a few steps forward. Her expression clearly showed her disbelief. "You know of no such thing. It was the vulnerability and the weakness of your own that made it so easy to pull at your heart strings."

When Maleficent started walking closer, Lightning stood even closer to Riku. She reached forward and grasped his hand with one of hers, her other hand going to rest on the same arm. She was scared; she didn't know how this would work out, and which way she wanted it to turn out. She was confused.

Riku's fingers curled around Lightning's hand, grasping it tightly and securely. "That was the past, Maleficent," he said then in response. "Things have changed."

 

Maleficent only chuckled. "You ignorant boy!" she said, a dark smile forming on her lips. "Haven't you noticed? This entire situation has tugged on your heart, causing its performance to fall short of what you wish. A single threat to this fine darling," she continued, motioning to Lightning, "sends you into quite a pitiful frenzy. Your strength has vanished, Riku. You show nothing but vulnerability and fear."

 

Riku's grasp on Light's hand tightened at the words, his blood beginning to boil. That couldn't be true. He wasn't...failing. His heart wasn't growing weak. He was stronger than before!

Light looked up at Riku at his silence, seeing how he was reacting. What Maleficent said couldn't be true...How could Riku, who was so strong and serious, show vulnerability and fear? For her, no less? Maleficent was wrong; Riku didn't care that much for her that he would be the opposite of his normal self for her. Right?

Riku's grasp on his Keyblade tightened. "...You wish," he said darkly, his eyes hardening as he glared at the witch yards in front of him. If anything, he was stronger. His desire to protect Lightning made him that way, not the opposite.

Light looked over at Maleficent, seeing the look on her master's face. "Maleficent..." she said softly, though she didn't finish. What are you going to do now? she wanted to ask. Light wasn't at fault, having been stolen away without her permission. But would Maleficent realize that?

Maleficent lifted a hand toward Lightning, her eyes on her now. "Come, child," she coaxed calmly. "It's time to return home." It was time for her to return to her rightful place and become a super soldier, to complete more dirty deeds.

Light took a small step forward so that she was right next to Riku, her grasp on his hand loosening a little. Right...home...Maleficent's castle. That was where she belonged, and it was time she went, before her master became angry.

Riku turned his head, looking over at Lightning in disbelief. His grasp tightened even more on her hand. "Are you crazy?" he hissed. There was no way she was going back!

Lightning felt intimidated by Riku's hiss, and she was sure that showed on her facial expression. "I..." she trailed off, looking back over at Maleficent. I don't want there to be trouble, she thought.

Maleficent glanced at Riku with distaste, but then looked back to her soldier. "Come on, dear," she prodded, motioning with her open hand for the girl to come to her.

 

Riku sharply turned his head to look at Maleficent, pointing his Keyblade at her. "You shut up!" he ordered with anger. This was her plan, wasn't it? To come and take Lightning back!

Light looked up at Riku, seeing the fury on his expression. She gazed up at him with surprise and uncertainty, having not expected him to get so angry. He didn't want her to go...He still liked her, despite how she was a shell of her old self?

Maleficent actually blinked in surprise, but then she glared at the foolish boy before her. Her extended hand came back to her side, the woman unable to believe such a imbecile would raise his voice to her.

 

Riku kept his hand tightly against Lightning's, keeping his Keyblade pointed at Maleficent. He felt Light's gaze on him, and he briefly looked at her before his eyes went back to his enemy. "You can forget about taking home your 'precious prize'," he said, referring to the girl he was standing beside. "You won't be having her."

Lightning gripped Riku's arm a little more tightly, only glancing over at Maleficent before she looked back over at him. Why? she wanted to say. Why are you going to risk your life protecting me when I haven't even shown that I'm grateful you care? She didn't understand...

"And you are willing to put your pitiful life on the line for her?" Maleficent asked, placing both of her hands on her staff. That was such a foolish decision, but she would wait for the answer.

 

"Yes," Riku said with a nod. "Whether my life's pitiful or not, she's worth protecting." He turned his head a little to look at Lightning. "I know that much." He would do anything...just to make sure she was safe.

Light felt breathless at what Riku said, and upon seeing the look in his eyes, she knew that he wasn't fibbing with what he said. He really thought she was worth fighting for, even if it cost him his life. "Don't do this," she pleaded to him. "Not for me..." He couldn't die to Maleficent because of her.

Riku shook his head at Lightning faintly, silently telling her to stop. He was doing what he thought was right, even if it wasn't in her eyes. It was Maleficent's laughter that made his gaze leave her, finding the witch.

 

Maleficent shook her head at Riku, releasing a breath once her laughter was finished. "Have I witnessed the unthinkable for such a boy who cared for no one but himself such a small amount of years ago?" she said, taking another few steps forward as she glanced between Riku and Lightning. "Do you have feelings for this girl? Does your heart long for her?"

 

Riku blinked in surprise, but he didn't say anything, lowering his eyes for a second. Did he? After all, he never felt this way toward someone in his life. But how easily was it noticed?

"That sure is something," Hades said, appearing a few feet away from Lightning as he stood on her side and away from the ocean. "To think a brat like him could fall in love with this shattered misfit..." He tisked, shaking his head faintly. It was surprising to him, but the love wouldn't last long anyway. All the Keyblade wielders would be dead soon enough.

Riku's eyes widened, darting toward the newcomer. "Hades..." he said, recognizing the man in a heartbeat. His eyes narrowed as he glared at him. He was supposed to be dead!

"Yeah, how's it goin' kid? Great to see ya," Hades said, speaking sarcastically to Riku. "The Lord of the Dead is back, thanks to some handy-work your girlfriend did. Might I say, I haven't felt so alive in a long time." He smirked slightly at Lightning, seeing her move closer to Riku.

Riku's eyebrows furrowed, and he glanced at Lightning. "What?" he said in disbelief. What was he talking about?

 

"Indeed," Jafar said, arriving in a puff of red smoke not far from Riku. "The powder worked well with our revival. However, it is such a sorry sight to see young love be torn apart by betrayal." He held his staff in his hand, cape rustling slightly in the sea breeze. He noticed the startled grunt leave the boy at the sight of him, which only made him smirk.

"Compelled by greed, she was not," Captain Hector Barbossa said, appearing out of a portal and between Maleficent and Hades as he looked to Riku. "But by her passion to protect those she cared about. But betrayal is betrayal, no matter what the circumstances." Lightning worked against him and helped Maleficent revive all of them, and for that, he was grateful.
