Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

The next morning   Riku lingered in the living room as Lightning's guests talked on the sofas. It was the day after Sora and Kairi's wedding, and now that the event was over, everyone was heading ba

Riku's eyes locked onto Light's pale blue, and he nodded once in silence. Clothes...right. He took a step toward the stairs and focused forward, feeling chills run up his spine when cold water dripped onto his back again.

Lightning grabbed a trash can and two ice packs, also getting a rag just in case the ice itself was too cold. But she needed it to numb Riku's arm, because if she didn't, extracting the bullet would be painful. She took the supplies to the living room and sat down on the couch, leaning back into the couch and folding her arms over her chest as she waited.
Riku slipped into a pair of navy sweatpants and a beater before he left his room, the boy going down the stairs so he didn't keep Lightning waiting any longer. Tweezers were in his pocket, but in his hands he held a towel. He turned into the living room as he ran the towel over his wet hair, ruffling it as he tried to get it dry.

Light looked over when she heard a noise in the room, seeing Riku enter. But her eyes automatically went back to the wound, and she was sure that she could get it out when she saw it again. It would just take a while.
"Alright," Riku said, running the towel over his hair one more time before he threw it on the back of the recliner in the room. "Let's get this over with." It was easy to tell that he wasn't too excited for this, since he knew how much pain would be involved. As if he didn't have enough emotionally already.

Light's eyes softened, the girl keeping her eyes on Riku. "Have a seat," she said softly, moving over so that she could work on Riku's arm while sitting on the couch. She moved the ice too, knowing that she would need it.
Riku approached the couch and sat himself down beside Lightning, making sure his left side was near her so she could work on getting the bullet out properly. He looked over at the supplies she had, seeing that she was prepared. She obviously knew what she was doing.

Light lifted one ice pack and gently pressed it against Riku's wound without the towel, knowing the feeling probably wasn't a pleasant one. But this would make the area numb more quickly and allow her to get the bullet out sooner.
Riku ignored the cold bite of the ice pack, knowing already that he had experienced worse in the past from numerous Blizzard spells. He lowered his eyes to the ice pack, just staring at it. He frowned, thinking of Barbossa. Stupid pirate. He shouldn't have been hit.

Light set her other hand on Riku's lower arm, eyes staying on the icepack she held against him. "You'll have to let me know when it's completely numb," she said to him. Otherwise, she'd go in too early and it would be more painful than it had to be.
Riku hissed a little when he actually felt the coldness reach deeper into his wound. "Right," he said lowly, trying to ignore the pain and the way Light's hand on his arm made him feel. He couldn't possibly think of that right now, could he?

Light took her hand off Riku's arm after a few moments and reached for the remote, turning on the television and keeping it on the sports channel Riku had on. But then she put her hand back, silently hoping that the TV would distract him from the pain.
Riku glanced at the television and shook his head, his eyes dropping to his hands clasped together, the boy keeping his position, leaning forward slightly. "You really think that will distract me, huh?" he said, a hint of weak amusement present in his tone. "Sorry, but I'm not as easy to distract as Sora."

Light smiled faintly at Riku's humor, though her eyes remained serious because she didn't want him hurting. "It was worth a shot," she said, keeping the ice on Riku's wound. If the TV couldn't distract him, what could?
Riku's weak smirk faded away. "It's alright. I've got enough on my mind anyway," he said, referring specifically to earlier. "Pain's nothing." He could handle bullet removal, but not seeing somebody he cared about nearly get taken away again.

"Yeah, right," Light said, rolling her eyes. "That's why you hissed a few moments ago." She wasn't deaf, and she wasn't clueless about Riku's pain. It was something she found hard to ignore.
"I've dealt with worse," Riku said, glancing over at Lightning for a second before his eyes fell to his hands again. He should have been more careful; he should have known that Barbossa would resort to gunfire. He wasn't thinking clearly, he guessed.

"Right," Lightning said softly, subconsciously holding Riku's arm a little more tightly. She knew he dealt with Maleficent in the past, and she knew from experience what that was like. Being her victim was worse than just a little gunshot wound.
Riku nodded once, though his eyes fell on Light's hand on his arm. He felt the sudden urge to reach over and put his hand on hers, but he clasped his hands more tightly to keep himself from doing that. This was no time for that; she was busy with his wound, which was starting to get numb.

Light stared at Riku's wound instead of thinking about things, and she fought the urge to run her hand over Riku's arm. She shouldn't have felt that urge...they were friends, nothing more. Right?
When the cold was nearly gone from Riku's upper arm, the boy not able to feel it anymore, he said so. "It's numb," he said quietly, glancing at the ice pack out of the corner of his eye. Now came the time to get the bullet out. Joy.

Light nodded, pulling away the icepack and setting it on the couch beside her. "You have the tweezers?" she asked, lifting her gaze to Riku's face again. She would definitely need those, since she would rather not go in with her hands, even if she did wash them beforehand.
Riku nodded and leaned over a bit, digging into his pocket and pulling out the tweezers. He held them out for Light to take, glancing from her to his wound. He trusted her, but he still didn't like this.

Light reached out and grabbed the tweezers, lowering her head to study the wound head-on. The bullet was damaged when it hit Riku, so there was a part of it she could grab onto to pull it out. She cautiously went in, her accuracy spot on even if Riku wouldn't feel anything anyway.
Riku looked away, focusing on the floor as he waited. He didn't want to watch; the wound alone was pretty ugly, though it was worse before Light casted Cure on him. She took care of him and he took care of her. There must have been a trend going on here, or maybe it wasn't coincidence.
