A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

Riku looked up at Lightning, and he realized that he still needed to give something back. He pushed himself away from the chair and left the room, heading up the stairs. The weapon he used to kill Maleficent...he didn't need it anymore.

Light glanced over in time to see Riku leave, confused by his sudden disappearance. But she was quickly distracted when Jasmine appeared on the other end of the couch. She couldn't help but smile faintly, scooting over towards the dog. "Hey girl," she cooed softly, petting Jazzy's stomach.

Riku went upstairs and entered his room, approaching his bedside table. There, he found the knife. He picked it up and held it in his grasp before he went back downstairs, approaching the living room.

Light laid down after a few moments, resting her head on the dog's stomach. She couldn't help it if Jasmine was so warm and comforting, and after everything, Light just wanted somebody to be present with her. Right now, that was Jasmine, who was patiently laying still for her to use as a pillow.

Riku walked into the living room, and he stopped short upon seeing Light. He fought the urge to smile, but it appeared in a faint form anyway. He glanced at Jasmine, whose eyes were on him as he approached the couch. "Hey," he said softly to Light, stopping in front of the couch and crouching down in front of her. "I have something for you."

Light's eyes found Riku when he knelt down in front of her, and she didn't bother moving since he was already close to her level. "Hm?" she hummed in question. What was that supposed to mean?

Riku lifted his right hand, the knife in his grasp. "Here," he said, glancing down at it before his eyes found Light again. "I don't need it anymore." He used it for his purpose; his deed was done.

Light blinked, seeing the knife in his grasp. The knife she had given him to kill her was actually used on Maleficent. She nodded slightly and reached out a hand to grip it, though her eyes were locked on Riku's. She didn't know what showed, but she didn't bother putting on a mask in front of him. Not anymore.

Riku felt Light's fingers touch his, and he didn't let go of the knife immediately as he looked at her. "I know what you're thinking," he said upon seeing the look on her face, "and you're crazy. Never thought of hurting you once."

"Why not?" Light challenged softly without pulling the knife out of Riku's grasp. Why hadn't he even considered hurting her after all the dark things that she did? She even wounded some of his friends in fights. Wasn't he upset about that?

Riku smiled ever so slightly at the question. "I think I'm meant to protect you," he admitted quietly. "Not kill you." It was just this feeling he had, and after all that had happened, he felt the hunch was correct.

Light hummed softly, not sure what to say to that. She wasn't one who often needed protection, except for lately when Maleficent was around. But why would Riku even want the burden of protecting somebody? Somebody who was so hard-headed, stubborn, and...weak?

Riku looked down at the knife he and Light still held together, his fingers barely brushing hers. He finally forced himself to pull his hand back. "Besides, if I did, karma would haunt me in the form of your brother," he said with a smirk. "He wouldn't let me forget it...not that I ever would." He would regret if he ever hurt Lightning; he still felt bad about that pain he caused her a few weeks back in Agrabah. He hated it.

Light felt herself smile faintly at Riku's humor, and she set her hand on the couch in front of her as it held the knife. "He would be pretty ticked," she agreed with a faint smirk. Ven was almost as protective of her as she was of him.

"Ticked?" Riku repeated, lifting an eyebrow. "You've gotta be kidding. He'd be furious." Riku had seen him that way before, when he had to admit that he was the reason Light was stuck with Maleficent. That was a day he would never forget.

"Ven's got too much Light in him to ever get that enraged," Light said for her little brother. She couldn't picture him snapping at anybody too harshly, though she did sense the tension between him and Riku.

"Eh, he can get pretty snappy," Riku said, shrugging a little. He witnessed it firsthand, given that he was the victim. But he knew that if he did hurt Lightning, Ven would be the one to kill him.

"Whatever you say," Light said, shrugging slightly. She'd take Riku's word for it, since she hadn't spent as much time with Ven as Riku had. That was sad, but it was true.

Riku smirked a little despite the topic that sparked this conversation. "Now you're learning," he said, referring to things being his way. He lifted a hand and ruffled Light's damp hair before pushing himself up, the same action he often did to Sora as a brotherly sign of affection. But with Lightning, he was just teasing her.

"Uh, Riku?" Light said, rolling her eyes faintly. "Did you just mistake me for Jasmine, or did you seriously just ruffle my hair?" That was something she would have expected him to do with a pet and not her, but she was also taking the opportunity to tease him.

Riku smiled a little, though it turned into a smirk as he shrugged. "Take it as you want," he said. "But if you give me authority...well, then you're Jazz." Give him his way, he'll boss her around like he would his puppy. Maybe "boss" wasn't the right word. He would actually just "suggest" things she should do, but whatever.

"You're comparing me to a dog?" Light said in disbelief, lifting her head off Jasmine's stomach as she sat up to look at Riku. Thanks a lot! she thought sarcastically. That wasn't a very nice thing to say, and she certainly wouldn't give Riku the right to boss her around, even if she wouldn't be so stubborn towards him now after everything.

Riku chuckled at Light's response, and he shrugged again. "Maybe," he said slyly. It all depended on how she took it, really, but it would be humorous if she thought he really was. Or maybe not, since she could kick his behind if she wanted.

Light huffed, feeling lighthearted for the first time in a while. She could tell Riku was baiting her now, and she didn't see any harm in playing along with him. "Well," she said, leaning back into the chair. "If I am just like Jasmine, then I guess you'll be feeding me my favorite food whenever I get hungry and let me sleep around the house all day." She smirked faintly, knowing that the dog's life was an easy one.

"Actually, no," Riku said, folding his arms over his black beater. "You'll be giving me authority, right? So you'll do as I say, whenever I give the order." He tilted his head slightly, his eyes staying on Light. After something so serious just happened, he didn't think this conversation should have been taking place, but it was.
