Forever Starts Now (1x1 RP with Forever Love)

Posted

A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things xP) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way. :)

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh? :)

"As if you'd actually have any reason to boss me around," Light said, rolling her eyes. She couldn't think of any circumstances where he could tell her what to do, at least not right now. But she wouldn't be surprised if Riku had something in mind.
"Trust me," Riku said, lifting an eyebrow. "I'll come up with something." He wouldn't right now, since he had a lot of others things on his mind, but the time would probably come soon enough.

"Come up with something now, then," Light challenged, arching a brow at Riku. She brought up her legs and folded them on the couch close to Jasmine without kicking the pooch, getting comfortable on the furniture.
Riku's smirk faded, and he lowered his arms. "Well, you look terrible," he said rather bluntly, his eyebrows furrowing. "Get some rest." Or at least relax. Things had been rough lately, and he was exhausted, physically and emotionally.

Light's eyes softened at Riku's serious comment, and she only nodded faintly. That was an order she could follow pretty easily; she did need the rest, after all. She still wondered where she was going to live now that she was back, but it didn't seem like now was a good time to bring that up.
Riku saw Light's eyes soften, but he only gazed at her in silence. He meant what he said; he cared too much to let her walk around when she looked so worn out. It actually surprised him how much he cared for her, but it was just the way things were, even for the first time.

"...What're you going to do?" Lightning asked after a few moments, eyes still locked on Riku's. She guessed that he would go get some rest too, or go to somebody's house, since that was where he had been going earlier. But the storm outside was bad still. As if on cue, a large rumble of thunder sounded, shaking the house a little.
Riku shrugged a little, tearing his eyes away to look out a nearby window. "I'll find something to do," he said quietly. He wasn't one for lounging around on the couch like Sora was most days, but there wasn't much else to do with the weather the way it was.

Light glanced over at the lamp when the light flickered, and then a few moments later, the lights all turned off along with the TV. "Guess it'll be something without electricity," she said, lifting her gaze to Riku. The power was out.
Riku heard Jasmine bark in the darkness, and he pinched the bridge of his nose. "Ah, great," he said under his breath. Icing on the cake of a horrible day.

Light scooted over on the couch, at the same time slipping her knife into the pocket of her sweatpants. She lightly stroked Jasmine and she hushed, something that relieved Lightning immensely. Jasmine barking much longer would have been annoying.
"Stay here," Riku said after lowering his hand. His eyes were well adjusted to the darkness, thanks to his time in the Dark Realm. He started out of the room, going to get a flashlight to at least provide some illumination, and a few matches to light the candles his mother had set around the room.

"That an order?" Light called, hoping to lighten the mood. Just a few minutes ago, Riku had said that he would think of some reason to boss her around, and he had just done that by giving instruction. She was surprised she saw any humor in this situation, since she really was spent emotionally and physically.
Riku stopped and turned around at the question, spotting Lightning in the darkness. "Yeah," he said with a small nod, though he doubted she could see it. A small smile made its way on his face before he left the room, knowing where his dad kept the supplies for moments like this.

Light smiled faintly in the darkness, able to see Riku a little before he left the room. She just shook her head faintly and obeyed his order, turning her attention to Jasmine. She started lightly petting the dog, and she didn't mind when she saw a lightning bolt outside. It was lightning that she named herself after, anyway.
Riku knew a supplies closet was downstairs, so he approached it when he saw it, the lightning helping despite the fact that he could see pretty well. He opened the door and saw the flashlight immediately, and he also grabbed a packet of matches so he could light the candles, and possibly the fireplace. It really depended on how much illumination was needed.

Light stopped petting Jasmine after a few moments, the girl folding her arms over her chest and shivering. The sleeves on this shirt were really short; it wasn't mean to keep a person warm. She was alright with Jasmine sitting up on the couch and moving over towards her, practically sitting in her lap so that she could be cuddled with.
Riku started back for the living room, entering just as another bolt of lightning illuminated the islands. He glanced over at Light, who he saw had Jazz occupied, before he flipped the flashlight on. He pointed it at the girl and his dog, the latter's eyes glowing due to the light.

Light already had an arm wrapped around Jazzy, but when the light landed on them, she turned her head and looked over at the source. She lifted her free hand to block the light so she wasn't blinded, squinting slightly despite how her arm protected her from the light.
"Found the flashlight," Riku said, purposely stating the obvious. He started over toward one side of the room, moving the flashlight so it focused on some candles his mother had there.
  • Author
"Clearly," Light said, lowering her arm once the beam was off her. She didn't really mind the room being too dark, since she was just going to rest anyway. Riku was probably going to do the same.
Riku glanced out of the corner of his eye at Lightning, but tucked the flashlight under his arm as he focused on lighting a match. Once it was ignited, he lit one candle before moving to the next two grouped there. He immediately smelled them, and he rolled his eyes slightly. Mom would, he thought. Scented, of course.

Light focused on Jasmine instead of staring at Riku, lightly running her arm over the dog's back. She wasn't scared of storms, was she? Light had always liked them, especially storms with Lightning. They were her favorite.
Riku lit up a few more candles before he decided that he didn't want to waste the battery on the flashlight. He used another match to light the fireplace, knowing it would provide some warmth instead of just light.

Light continued to stroke Jasmine, though she stopped after a little while when the dog jumped off the couch and went elsewhere. She took the opportunity to bring up her legs, wrapping her arms around them because she was still cold.
