A friend and I have been doing a RP for a while now, and it has been scattered across several threads on two different sites. It started as a group story (about fast food of all things ) but then it transformed into something else entirely.

 

We request that nobody join in this RP or post anything on this thread; if you wanna say how awesome we are, message us some other way.

 

Um...You're free to read this for fun if you want to, but this thread has major Birth By Sleep spoilers. And since we've been doing this for a while, we will probably refer to things we've done in the past and you will have no idea what we're talking about. So if you want to save yourself from confusion, then you probably wanna stay away. If not, hey, whatever.

 

The plot was discussed and posted on another website, but here's a quick summary of the whole thing: It's the return of Xehanort.

 

Characters:

Peanut: Sora, Namine, Leon, Aerith, King Mickey, Terra, Ventus, Xehanort, etc.

Forever Love: Riku, Kairi, Roxas, Yuffie, Aqua, Vanitus, Tron, etc.

 

I believe I've said everything that needs to be said...Forever Love, let's get this show on the road, eh?

"Don't be too sure of that," Riku said, furrowing his eyebrows a little more at her answer. Light wasn't the only one that dealt with Maleficent's torture, though he wasn't exactly sure how long he was stuck in her grasp.

Light only hummed, not moving. Perhaps Riku could understand, but she knew that what she went through was different than what Riku experienced. Maleficent said she used different tactics...like fear. Surely Riku wasn't ever paralyzed in fear of Maleficent like Light found herself recently.

Riku turned his eyes forward again, staring at the fire. "I'm guessing you don't wanna talk about it," he concluded softly. He wouldn't either, and two years after his experience with the witch, he still didn't. It was hard to explain for the victim. He understood.

"...There's not much that I can really put into words," Light said honestly, looking up at the ceiling. "It's hard to grasp that it's over." She had been so sure Maleficent would steal her back that she had almost gone with her willingly. She would have, if Riku hadn't stopped her.

Riku hummed slightly, but didn't say anything more. He was all too familiar with that feeling, though he knew Light's experience was different than his. Sometimes he could see the fear on her face; it was definitely noticeable when Maleficent herself was around.

At the thought of the fear that Maleficent had caused (and still caused just by her memory), Light had the urge to hold Riku's hand or hug him or something. But she restrained herself, not wanting to create an awkward situation.

"...You know I'm here if you need anything," Riku said quietly, keeping his gaze forward. He meant that, and he hoped Light knew it. They were similar in some ways, but Maleficent was a big one. If she couldn't talk to anyone else about it, he was there.

"...Unless you can erase everything that happened in the past few months, I don't think there's anything you can do," Light said softly, shutting her eyes when she felt them become moist. She normally wasn't this emotional, but she still was afraid. She was afraid of the future.

Riku turned his head to look back at Lightning at that, his eyes finding her face. He lifted his hand to set on her arm, but stopped himself, setting it on the carpet again. He looked down at the floor, not knowing what to say.

With her eyes shut, Light wasn't aware of Riku's actions. She swallowed and stayed still, arms folded over her stomach. There was no way to erase the past; she could only move forward. But she would have a hard time being the master of her own destiny again. She lived her life under Fal'Cie reign for a while with them as her master, and then Maleficent. She was too shattered from the latter to move forward on her own.

"The only way to erase the pain is to focus on finding happiness," Riku said, looking back to Lightning again. "And keeping it." He knew that from his own experience, and his happiness was here. At home, with his friends. But for Light, it could be different.

"Actually, that's a good way to cover it up," Light said, eyebrows furrowing slightly. The happiness didn't get rid of the pain. She didn't really know how to get rid of it, because all her life, she focused on moving forward instead of dwelling on the pain.

Riku sighed and faced forward. "You're one complicated girl, Light," he said, shaking his head a little. He didn't see it as covering it up; he was just replacing the painful experiences with those he loved, here, on the islands with his friends.

"You're just figuring that out?" Light asked without opening her eyes. She was sure that wasn't the case; Riku got to know her better than anybody else when she was home for a while before everything with Maleficent. And he knew there was a better phrase to describe her than "complicated". Messed up.

"No, I've known it for a while," Riku replied honestly. "I'm just now admitting it out loud." But he wasn't lying; she really was complicated. Her whole life seemed complicated, but that was the trend these days.

Lightning hummed, looking up towards the ceiling. "Oh well," she said. "I'll keep you on your toes." He would never be able to fully predict her next move, because she was far from predictable.

"Joy," Riku said sarcastically, shaking his head. He wasn't exactly sure that was a good thing or not, but he took it as bad. He hoped it wasn't.

Light shrugged, her back still against the floor. "If it's that irritating, then order me to leave," she said. She'd probably obey, since she didn't want to overstay her welcome.

Riku rolled his eyes. "Seriously?" he asked. She was going to take it that far? He was just joking.

"Yup," Light said, taking one hand off her stomach and putting it behind her head. She was serious; she didn't want to be a burden to Riku. After all he did, that was the last thing that she wanted.

Riku sighed and brought a hand to his head, closing his eyes. "You gotta chill out," he advised then. He knew she meant that, but he wouldn't kick her out after what happened with Maleficent today. It would be her decision whether to leave, if she was considered "living" here now.

"I'm just saying," Light said with a faint shrug, "it's your house." She didn't know if she could call it her own home too, though this was the place she was most comfortable in Destiny Islands.

"I'm not gonna kick you out, Light," Riku said, keeping his position. "It's best for you to decide when you need to leave, not me." Even if he did kick her to the curb, she had somewhere else to go, and that was to her brother. Did she want to stay here?

"...What do you think about it?" Light asked, sitting up and looking over at Riku. She needed to know what he believed about her living situation. It was...important to her.

Riku lowered his hand, turning his head to look at her at the question. "Uh, well," he said, glancing away for a minute. "I don't understand why you wouldn't want to stay with Ven. I mean, he's your brother..." Wouldn't she be more comfortable with him?
